Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't this have ended today? I wonder if TGM could puhua englantilainen? (if this is wrong, I learnt it on the internet in 10 mins...) Anyway Md, please don't call me TLM. ugh. The correct term is ørangutan, or Ø. My problems fixed themselves mostly overnight anyway. -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Eat pie! BADGER! TGM, you are evil! Why are Apple suddenly giving all their new OS's names? Is Panther OS X 10.3? Why is it that after one day of my dad having 10.2.8 and me using it, I can't import in iTunes, Safari runs far too slow and there is a definite decrease in the quality of the WindowShading (ie. when you press the yellow button)? -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Someone once made a series of nodes which you could insert into a BoE scenario to create this effect. You could have different places for the bank and if you robbed it you would be attacked by guards. Posts: 316 | Registered: Saturday, May 25 2002 07:00 |

Didn't someone start making "Exile II Replica" on BoE then he sent it out on the boards. I can't remember who though... Someone could do that, just the terrain sort of thing... Posts: 316 | Registered: Saturday, May 25 2002 07:00 |

What I'd like is a visual editor like "click to show whereabouts the monster will go etc." or a simple one at least which then converts it to a simple script which can then be refined to your heart's content. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about... Posts: 316 | Registered: Saturday, May 25 2002 07:00 |

I believe it was around 1996-7 (wow, 7 years ago!). When I first tried Exile (in 1995 maybe) I didn't understand why I seemed to be transported to a new world every time I went through those black gates near the edge of the map and transported back again when I went into that fort thingie (Seriously, it took me a while to figure this out!). Anyway I remember finding all of the Exile games on demo CD's individually and enjoying them. I think I really got hooked when I found Blades because it had a scenario editor (which took me a while to find, I remember searching the demo CD's, of which I have loads cos my dad used to buy MacFormat magazine, just to find the Exile game with an editor for creating your own) and that was the first I registered. Then I registered E3 and played through that, then Avernum came out and I eventually registered A3, cos it was the one I could get a discount on. Sorry about the long post. Please don't kill me. -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Eat pie! BADGER! You'd be right, then. Mine is GMT, 8 hours ahead of board time, and yours is 10 hours. How come so many Finnish people are on these boards? Is there a Finnish version of Spidweb's games or something? Just out of interest as well: do all you Europeans set your clocks forward every summer and back every winter? Technically it's BST here right now (British Summer Time) which is actually GMT + 1 but Europe is still an hour ahead, yeah? -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) What kind of font are you so desperate on using, cos if it's just a normal font I'd just suggest letting people use Arial and Times and Courier etc. If it's like a fantasy, Tolkien-like font, then first of all I'm surprised and second you might just want to use gifs. Why Tolkien springs to mind I'll never know. btw, just while I'm talking about that, is anyone else literate in the Tengwar or am I just strange? -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Stop complaining about the graphics and get on with playing the actual game. If you really love spidweb you'll find the gameplay a whole lot better. And write properly, with capitals an' stuff. -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Eat pie! BADGER! What's caller ID? Is it when someone calls and you can find their number? If it is, everyone has that in the UK, all you gotta do is dial 1471 and if you want to withhold your number (usually to make prank calls, but my uncle, for instance, doesn't like it when people call him back from unanswered calls) you dial 141 before calling. Anyway Khoth, enlighten us! What does you hidden message say? -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Eat pie! quote:Damn you, that was my point that I forgot to make (sort of), that is that it was considered normal to be gay in Ancient Greece and a lot of Romans were bisexual, but effieminacy wasn't so acceptable, Cicero, for example, used this fact against Verres in his famous trial (that's one of the few things I learnt in Latin this year). Anyway, surely heterosexuality isn't exactly "default" for a person to be if the Greeks thought differently. -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) I play so much with the keyboard that the combinations are sort of fixed in my mind, for instance mgabc is ice bolts (or maybe mgabcde at higher levels) maa is bolt of fire and pa1/2/3/4 is heal... I don't even understand what you were talking about with the clouding thing- just the way you put it across, but the thing to disable it for designers is a cool idea... I'm sure I remember a level which did that or am I just imagining things? Posts: 316 | Registered: Saturday, May 25 2002 07:00 |

I was walking down the street on the way to school the other week and I saw a bus which said "Murder, She Wrote on at 9pm on the Crime Plus channel" and I thought: "hey, that's the name of a Spidweb member". Later that day I was bored to death in a Chemistry lesson so I looked at one of Mr. Harris's posters and I saw the letters NaCN. Am I going mentally insane? Does anyone else do that occasionally? -------------------- ~ørangutan I want high-bit characters in my displayed name!!! :( :( :( (Or at least an exclamtion point!) Eat pie! BADGER!
