Uhhh thanks, OM. What kind of challenges? I was thinking riddles (NOT EXCLUSIVELY), RPing (PROBABLY NOT AT ALL), and, in the spirit of good ol' Motrax, a poetry contest. Believe me, it's not meant to be taken seriously. But don't resort to "munchkining", whatever that is... Oh yeah, and please don't be turned off by the horrible ideas shown above. I've got my best men... er... a friend and myself... thinking about it 1/7 (at most). Anyway, it will be fun and as uncorny as possible.

EDIT: "Mod survivor?" I hadn't heard of that... is it on the Mod boards? And, to answer your question, yes. I just haven't thought of anything that is yet.

Uhhh actually, I'm sure Mod survivor has better ideas than I do... can someone give me suggestions?

I believe I am the comrade in trouble... I'm sort of captured by hostile vanahtai warriors and tied up in some unknown location... which pretty much summarized my IC so never mind...

Yeah, it's that time again when I get some crazy idea that will be cool if it's not locked within the first five posts or so. Anwyay, the title should be pretty self explanitory but I will elaborate. The first ten people to join (just say "I'm in" or something like that) will be competing to see who can survive the longest. I will have a new challenge every Wednesday and Saturday, and the winner will recieve immunity, meaning they cannot be voted off the topic. Then everyone emails their vote to me, and I will tell you who is voted off. If you are voted off you can't participate in challenges or anything, but we will need you to decide the final winner. Um... prizes are non-existant, but hey... anyway, you can make this an RP, or just do the challenges, or whatever. If you make it an RP, the setting is an island in Avernum/Exile with the normal stuff you'd expect, plus my little hut that has pretty much anything I want in it. Which doesn't mean you can come in and steal laser guns or something.

Be warned that I have never even watched the show, and that every piece of information I know about it is from asking my friends what it's about or going on the website... so don't expect it to be like the show. Also, please don't join unless you plan on staying in it for five weeks.

*sob* Why, God, why do you make people so stupid? *sob*

Tell me, Amon-Ra, why do you think people would cry over that? That doesn't make sense to me, unless you like Saddam and his regime. Even some people who opposed the war want/ed those people in custody...

Ugh. First of all, Hawkgirl, I'm sure if Moses lived today he would consider women equal to men in every way. I certainly do. The Bible is not a sexist, racist work, no matter how you choose to look at it. I was just explaining to them where the women came from, and why there were very few mentioned. I don't think that they were any less important, but in a patriarchal society, I'd say the names of men were more important (descendants of the man Levi were called Levites, etc) not necessarily the men themselves.

Second, Alorael, I said "could probably" for just that reason. I guess substituting "most" for "all" wooud have been better, but... now you know. Believe me, the Bible can be proven correct, even if not just in one book (not one without many, many pages, anyway).

And mine, which I'm hoping caries a bit more weight... I'm tired of forgiving him and giving him second chances... FB, you can't just blow up a huge fort like you just did, and... yeah, join the next RP if you've learned how to by then. Anyway...

IC: Sir David awoke several hours later; he had a horrible itch on his nose. He tried to scratch it, but couldn't move. He tried to look down at his body to see why, but couldn't even move his head. Then, hearing the voices of the Vanahtai warriors nearby, he remembered why this was. A warrior came over, saw that he was awake, and laughed. Sir David began thinking of ways to escape, but soon realized that, without outside help, he would die bound by these ropes...

I don't usually like by band (except Smashmouth), just song, and I can't remember song names, just what they sound like, so... you are all spared yet another list.

Yeah, that's one of those posts that will be best ignored. FB's, I mean.

IC: Sir David, finding himself surrounded by several Vanahtai warriors, slashed at the one directly behind him in an attempt to free himself. He began swinging his sword wildly and erratically, but the warriors simply parried each of his blows. He knew that he would tire soon before them, so he once again concentrated his attack on a single warrior, this time the one in front of him. He was immediately knocked unconscious by the one behind him, and tied in ropes that only the strongest mage could burn away...

Actually, women were generally not recorded at the time the Bible was written. Of course, if they were significant, they were included, but... well, not to compare women to cats, but think of it as putting someone's pet cat in a history book today.

As for the legitimacy of the Bible, I have a book somewhere that can probably answer all of your questions by itself. Last time I looked I couldn't find it, though... I'll run through all the bookcases in my house again and see if I can find it this time.

Yeah, I'll just ignore Alec, Djur (who I thought was leaving... don't make me so hopeful and then blow it all) and the rest of them.

RoR, I can assure you that I do not do that (yes, I know you didn't say I do). I think that that kind of response is wrong, and that in trying to end sin, these people are themselves sinning, and the evil of their actions far outweighs any good intentions they might have had. I am sad that a lot of people hate gays because they are different, or because society taught them that, or something. Believe me, I am not like that. Also, I try to love the sinner, hate the sin as much as possible.

BTW, that still doesn't answer my second question (about mangos), WTH?

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA I FIND THIS TOPIC HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!

Budding relationship, indeed.

I agree about the word "homophobe", Alorael.

The rolling eyes thing was meant to be just that: Scorp rolling his eyes.

RoR: There are PRACTICALLY no RIGHT WiNG CONsERVaTiveS Here! What's up with the capitalization?

Also, what is a mangophobe? And if it's just what it seems to be, WTH?

I think the Bible is more than a book, but I don't use it as some sort of shield. have I ever met a gay person?? I have a friend who is a lesbian, and doesn't try to hide it or anything. I disagree with her, but that doesn't mean I hate her. Similarly, I have friends who smoke pot, protested the war in Iraq, etc. I don't know where you all got the idea that the idea that the only friends I have are just like me. Harming people? Ummm I openly say homosexuality is bad, and that's it. I don't throw rocks at gay people or anything... and my religion happens to include other people, whether they agree with all of my beliefs or not, so if you think I should just ignore people who go against my beliefs, you're wrong. In fact, this idea is your belief, and you're trying to impose it on me. I don't argue about your right to do that at all.

Mindspark, some people have the idea that people publicly reject and criticize homosexuality because they themselves are gay and are trying to cover up for it. That would be like me going out on the street and yelling "God doesn't exist! Sin like crazy!" but whatever... I guess maybe it makes sense somehow...

Oh yeah, and TM, I COULDN'T CARE LESS.

Ummm I'm still not sure what Re'kar is doing, but hey... he's in the fort... that works...

IC: Re'kar found himself in an unused storeroom. He drew his waveblade and cast a weak shield spell around himself, just in case. He crept close to a door, then quickly opened it and stepped right in the middle of a routine patrol...

Meanwhile, Sir David was creeping along walls as well, but outside walls. He was lagging behind the others, who were all at the gate fighting their way in, for two reasons: one, he did not want to waste his precious arrows, and two, he still had the uncomfortable sensation of being watched. He rounded a corner, and ran right into the reason for this feeling...

Oh God... this remiinds me of my own family... my father and his brother owned a local Ben and Jerry's (ice cream, for any poor fool who doesn't already know). My dad had more control over the whole thing, and he eventually decided to sell the business, just not the building. My uncle was very angry about this, and to make a long story short, the only real uncle I have is on my mother's side. My father's brother hates my father, and couldn't care less about his sister in law or his niece and nephew. This has caused my grandfather and aunt an unbelievable amount of stress, and I could swear that my uncle is crazy sometimes, he gets so mad. The moral of this story is, DON'T JUST PULL OUT WITHOUT MUTUAL AGREEMENT. I don't know exactly who in your family this person is, but I can tell you that you don't want him to be like my uncle, and you yourself don't want to be like my uncle either.

As for suggestions: talk it over, don't make any decisions quickly no matter how sensible they may seem, and make sure that if you seperate, you do so on peaceful terms. Other than that, I need mroe details to help.

By the way, when can we get this trial started? I'm anxious to testify against this horrible, horrible person who is not only stealing money from Jeff's pocket, but also cutting down on our ability to enjoy our Spiderweb experience for no reason other than to raise his own post count. Plus I've never testified before.

I'll take him till LF is back. FB, go ahead and be that guy, but don't start introducing/learning new skills and spells every couple seconds. Remember, you are weak. Don't bring in anybody else to help. Don't summon stuff to heal you, etc etc. Basically, you can RP as long as you don't start doing that stuff. As soon as you start acting like that, we will ignore those posts until you lose your special powers or whatever.

Um, what exactly is Re'kar doing right now?
