Uhh, wth. It seems to me that BOB is being just as godlike or even more godlike than FB would like to be. Anyway... I'm hoping to join the rest of you after finding either an ally/allies or some information that would help. Just letting you know. IC: The crystal responded weakly: "I cannot tell you my name. I am imprisoned here, as you have probably figured out by now if you have made it this far." Sir David stared at it. He had been broght up thinking of these crystals as almost the source of all evil, since they were often commanders in the many Empire - Vanahtai Wars... yet he felt something akin to pity for this one. "What will it take to get you out?" he asked. "You cannot release me, you are nowhere near powerful enough," it replied. "But I know of some who can... and they may help you. I assume you were directed here by a warrior not of your own race?" Sir David got up silently. "I am being watched," he said. "Yes, I was directed. Why? I may have only seconds." "Rejoin the other adventurers down here, and then rub this and wait." A small bauble dropped to the floor out of nothingness. Sir David stared at the bauble, then the crystal, in disbelief. "How did you know -" he began. Well anyway I've got them converted and together and all, now my problems are these: when I try to make it a buddy icon it's tiny, and the last frame has a little black smudge between the two smilies that's there when I click "start" but not when I look at it seperately. Sir David began dealing blows like a madman until all that was left of the persuing warriors was a pile of waveblades, cloaks, and crystals. Sir David quickly went next to the crystal, knelt down, and focused all of his concentration on it. He felt nothing. Standing up, he jumped. He had felt a flicker of life within it. I have wrist pain every once in a while that lasts about 3 days and then goes away... my mom thinks it's carpal tunnel syndrome... what do you people think? Sir David was in pure agony. The crystal seemed to be intent on giving him as much pain as possible without killing him, and it was doing very well. Sir David had already tried every mind trick he had ever learned, and nothing had worked. Suddenly, the pain stopped. Sir David lay on the floor, gasping for air. Who are you? asked the crystal once again. Sir David attempted to straighten up, but could not. "Sir David of the Empire," he replied. The Empire? the crystal asked. Suddenly, all of his knowledge of the Caves of Avernum returned, and he knew what this crystal must be. "You are a crystal soul?" Sir David asked. He felt a wave of pain. Answer my question, the crystal soul responded. Sir David began to respond, when he noticed motion behind him. Turning quickly, vaguely surprised that the mage had seen it safe to unparalyze him, Sir David noticed that the warrior directly behind him was beckoning in a slight gesture, pointing to the door behind him.
