Thank you, Alec.

Sorry, Princess Ruth. I think that the word "sorry" has lost its meaning, however, since people use it to calm people down when really they are not sorry, but I do apologize for the flaming. ef, I was talking about my own flaming post, not theirs.

Yeah, they're working on it. I have a friend who knows someone in Blizzard. It was supposed to come out late this summer, but it probably won't. Oh well. Anyway, it will have the new Zerg-Protoss combo race... and that's pretty much all I know about it.

Go ahead, it will probably be locked though because I find that no one here is very forgiving. If I had any power I would say ok and help you with it, but I don't have power and I don't have any ideas so I can't help you with it.

BTW, my character was not in the fort. He's in some other cave. Sorry for not explaining that.

IC: Sir David slew dragon after dragon, the flame simply reflecting off his beautiful plate mail, as he rescued the beautiful princess who whispered into his ear, "Get up, you slimy roach."

Sir David woke from his dream to find himself surrounded by well-armed vanahtai warriors and a mage, the one who had spoken. His eyes sparkled as the ropes magically fell from his body, then gasped in pain as the mage struck him on the head. "Don't even think about it," said that mage, who then paralyzed all but his mouth. Several warriors grabbed him roughly and carried him out into a hall as he babbled on, asking who they were, why he was there, etc. He was ignored. Then they turned a corner and brought him before a towering blue crystal. Sir David gasped in awe at the beautiful stone before him - then shrieked in pain. His brain felt as if it were on fire. Then he heard the voice - Who are you? asked the crystal.

I was actually thanking X for a post he made before, but part of his most recent post reminded me of it.

As for the rest of you, I don't know what it is about my post but it certainly seems to have made some of you (Rnatallion-ish people, not RoR) see me a little mroe accurately. A flaming post is a strange way to do that, but hey...

Rosy, I can assure you I am not influenced by the tastes of others. I don't like flash-in-the-pan groups, in fact I believe I've already established that I like songs, not bands. And don't think that my hearing is restricted to songs that I like, either; I hear a wide variety of songs on the bus to and from school each day, 99% of which I hate but all of which I listen to anyway for lack of anything else to do, and since I have a friend who pretends to be a punk, I also hear quite a lot of punk music, goth music, skater music, and pretty much every kind of music from her. A friend of mine has tastes that change about twice a year, and when they change, it's pretty drastic; my mother has the classic radio stations on pretty much 24/7. Basically what I'm saying is I am not some little robot like most if not all of you think, and my judgements, tastes, etc. are based on a wide range of things.

And for the record, if I were in Justin Timberlake's vicinity with a gun in my hand, I would probably forget about the law and even my own thou shalt not murder belief completely. Just kidding. Sort of.

I will respond to the other posts later, sometime, because I don't want to risk screwing up once again because of my quick temper.

PR, you officially have my utter hatred and disgust. I don't know if that post was inspired by wych's condescending little assessment of myself or just something spawned from your own brain, but I can tell you I would rather have you here beating me with a stick than talk about me like that. You're probably going to take this as "proof" about your little "defensiveness when challeneged" thing, but right now, I couldn't care less. Brainwashed? Incapable of rational thought? All this shows is that you can't even attempt to see any point of view but your own. Chained in a prison?? You talk like you are the keeper of infinite wisdom, and I am simply a robot. You are so God damn conscending and falsely righteous, not to mention insanely stupid. Pull myself from the madness? You will FORGIVE me??? Good Lord, the last thing I want right now is to be in your favor! A wee lad, sunken into the abyss of being able to see all points of view and then deciding which is most corr - wait, I meant brainwashing. Don't be scared? Let you HELP me?? If you're trying to get me to run from Spiderweb screaming, you're doing a damn good job of it. All I can say is, never talk to me like that again.

Unresolved personal issues? Actaully, no. I seriously don't have any major problems, no more than the average person does. Unless maybe end-of-the-school-year stress is affecting me and I don't know it. Anyway...

ef, I do believe in a kind and loving God. So tell me, is your definition of kind and loving something like "lets me do whatever"? Because I'd have to say a God who allows people to lie, steal, cheat, murder, etc. is not doing a very good job. Homosexuality is not as bad as murder, or theft, of course. Neither is fornification. But God created the perfect man, and a woman to go with him. He didn't create us with the ability to both fertilize and bear children; he created us as we are for a reason. It clearly says in the Bible that homosexuality is wrong; I believe this, I believe in the Bible, and I believe that homosexuality is wrong. I also believe that forcing people to be straight is wrong. I do not, however, think that our children should grow up with no ideals, no morals, except things they learn on their own. This last sentence is in response to something Alec said. I am going now, and may not be on tomorrow either. My head hurts, no this is not just an excuse to back down. Now that I think of it, maybe the stress is getting to me a bit... anyway I'll be back tomorrow or Saturday.

The first challenge is Saturday, come on people, we need two more. If you joined without making it clear, like just by posting here or something, please clarify that. That probably is not the case, I'm just being overly optimistic...

Why would you want to??? WTH?? If you believe it is wrong, that's why you would want to. You think I had my beliefs forced on me? Believe me, my beliefs are my own. I believe in God, and I believe that He doesn't want humans to be gay. What reason would a non-believer have to try to overcome it? None at all, as far as I know. You missed my point once again, though I explained it very clearly. You can overcome homosexuality IF YOU WANT TO. IT'S YOUR CHOICE. If you need it explained more clearly still, you should go live as a hermit.

Oh, and Alec, don't give me some crap about respect. The only thing that would make you even accept me is to give myself over wholly to your own beliefs, or grovel at you feet 24/7 until I weigh about 100 lbs from lack of food. I really don't even want your respect, but thanks for the suggestion  .

Oh man... listen, about ignoring ef's post, that wasn't because it dissed religion or something like that. If you want to know why, use the "search" feature, type in Scorp's member number, and try searching for the words "Now unplug it." Substitute that post for my first sentence, and you should be fine. As little offense as possible, ef.

And about not being smart or mature enough to handle the example, you people proved my point very well. See, my example was not meant to compare gays to cripples, it was meant to show you that if you truly want to overcome something, you can. If you are gay, and you truly don't want to be gay, you don't have to be. That's my point. All of you, except probably X, missed that completely. It also bypasses the debate on whether or not you can be born gay, which I still don't think is so but doesn't matter in this case.

Inquisition? I would respond with biting sarcasm, but I have to go mug some gay people, subject them to mental and physical torture, and top it all of with a combination of stoning and burning at the stake.

EDIT: About forgivness, whoever said that about different sects and different beliefs was correct (I believe it was Alorael). My own personal belief is that you can be forgiven, but only if you are TRULY sorry. In other words, sitting there on your deathbed thinking erotic thought about another man's wife while shouting out I REPENT, FORGIVE ME GOD, I'M SORRY isn't going to cut it.

Uhhh... yeah. Forgive me for completely ignoring that last post.

As for conscious choice, I don't know if it's so much conscious choice as... well, here's another example that very few people here are smart enough or mature enough to understand. I'm sure at least some of you have heard the story about the boy who was born with a shriveled leg, and who was told that he would never be able to walk. That's how he was born, with that problem. But he wanted to be able to walk very badly, so he would wheel himself out to his back yard, hold himself up, and walk on both legs like that, leaning against a fence. Eventually he could walk, but he wasn't content with that; he tried harder and harder, until he could jog, then run. This little boy grew up to be an Olympic runner; he even won the gold medal in one race. It wasn't his choice to be born a cripple; it was, however, his choice to ignore the people telling him not to try, that that was just the way he was, and in doing so, to succeed so well.

Not at all, Drakey, except that I believe that's the first (and last) time I've ever seen Lion King, Nelly, Avril Lavigne, and klezmer in the same context...

Thank you for you explanation, Alec, I must say it's very accurate no matter how hard Rosy tries to make us believe otherwise...

And Rosy, Shrek is an awesome movie. Advertising takes the fun out of it for older people and makes it more exiting for little kids, I am proud to invlude myself in the former group. But it's an awesome movie, advertising or not.

EDIT: BTW it is my instinct to find the nearest sharp object and stab myself with it until a) I die or b) I run out of energy whenever I hear Destiny's Child. There you are, a simple way to kill me.
