And it's pushing the screen over to the right, too, which is annoying. Alec: thanks, I'll fix that. Um, that was not in reference to the North Shore, or to Massachusetts. It was in reference to ADoS, JF, and the "Revere Moron Brigade" (Alec said it, not me), which I have been told is no more. Yes, Planetvoid is a friend of JF, but no, the posse hasn't grown by one; not yet, at least. Planetvoid has not been following Nightman's orders, as JF said he would, and is therefore not a part of the posse. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. You're lucky; posting in that topic rarely relieves my boredom. That is partially because I have little time for boredom, and when I do have time for boredom, I use it on gaming or talking instead. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the direct cause of World War I. A century is 100 years long. The word "decimate" comes from the Roman tradition of executing all but every tenth man of a defeated army. Me too, in that case. Other than that, I mean, I don't see how I can specify which girls I'm attracted to... attractive ones, really... arrogance doesn't help, of course, but that goes without saying. OOC: AHH HOLY FREAKING CRAP JUST USE A HUMAN. That is all. IC: They are coming. Trenton settled back against the branch and reached for an arrow. Three, maybe four. He reached for another arrow, put it back, and found the longer one; the second shot would surely be more difficult. There, coming over the hill. Trenton squinted; he could barely see through the leaves. Of course, his targets would have no chance of seeing him there; it was a fair trade. He put a hand against the trunk and raised himself up; he could shoot sitting down, but not accurately. He smiled, listening to the chirping of the birds, mere feet away. With one foot on the branch and the other behind him, he knelt down and nocked the first arrow. He smoothed the feathers with his callused fingers, waiting for his target. The sound of galloping hooves reached his ears, and he swiftly drew back the bowstring. The man finally came into sight, his eyesight, and he let the arrow fly. A perfect shot; the man fell from his horse, and was trampled by the horse behind him. Trenton quickly nocked the second arrow, pulled, and released; the second man fell with a scream. There are more. The galloping stopped, and Trenton could see the horsemen no longer; he knew there were two more. He reached for a higher branch, pulled himself up, and slipped. An arrow fell from his quiver, and the birds flew from the branches; he cursed himself for his clumsyness and dropped down onto the lower branch. They see it. The hoofbeats started up again, this time getting closer, cautiously; by bending down, Trenton could easily see the horsemen. They were spies, they must be; only spies would wear such cloaks, the horses were obviously stolen, and anyway, his inner sight never lied. A horseman rode in easy range and Trenton reached for an arrow. Suddenly, the fourth spy rode directly under him. "Agnon! Here! He is here!" The spy ducked around the trunk as Trenton lowered his bow; he heard a frantic scrambling and the occasional snap behind him. Suddenly, he smiled. The other man rode closer and he fired the arrow; the strangled scream was quickly cut short, and Trenton heard a gasp from behind him. The horse. Of course! Trenton put the bow on his back and lowered himself down the tree; when he was close enough, he dropped onto the horse's back and dug his heels in. "Hey! Damnit -" The spy dropped onto the ground and grabbed his knife; yelling wildly, he ran at Trenton. Trenton drew his own knife, and turned the horse; with a quick flick of the wrist, he buried the knife in the mans chest. Smiling grimly, he rode back and retreived the knife. The other horses. Of course. Assassins lived for money, and horses were a very good source of income. He smiled again, taking what he could from the bodies. The Klisten officials would be happy, and happiness also brought money. He wrapped the green cloak closer around himself and rode off. The kite? Hardly. And the shaving of eyebrows is the least of the problems with people in the Renaissance era. Anyway, Mona Lisa definitely has eyebrows. Look closely above her eyes. I know that everyone's different, and that Judaism is a religion, not an ethnicity. But really, by your reasoning, there is no such thing as an ethnic group. Not all Frenchmen are the same, not all Jamaicans are the same, not all African Americans are the same, and not all Jews are the same, nor are all Muslims the same. That doesn't mean that Jews have nothing more than a religion in common. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. I haven't beaten either game, unless you count my mad dash to the boat in GF1, which I did just to see what would happen. I doubt it... Syntyrael: I disagree with that. That's basically idol-worshipping, which is, in my opinion, an outdated religion based on nothing but the human lust for power. OK, maybe not just that, but still... humans cannot make God. It goes against the idea that God created the universe, which I believe is the only rational explanation. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. In other words, YAY4NATURALSELECTION. ...unfortunately, natural selection doesn't always work. On Spiderweb, it leaves a lot of emotionless, flaming, arrogant veterans who really have no idea how to deal with the remaining naive, easily put-out newbies. And how do we know that all those who don't pass through the filter shouldn't pass through the filter? So yes, Alec, some newbies can become productive members of Spiderweb, and there's no point in discouraging them from that. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Patriots, because I live in New York. I was doing homework at the time, so "watching" would be an exaggeration, but I saw the winning kick. And the monkey commercial. Uh, I doubt that. What if someone you hurt or offend is insane? You can't rely on other people... I'm getting sick of that "religion is what you want it to be" attitude... don't call yourself Christian if you believe that, MSW, because you're really agnostic. Syntyrael: Work it off? I think they should suffer until they repent, at which time they can go to Heaven, where they will stay infinitely. Eternal suffering does seem a bit harsh, doesn't it? I personally don't believe it's really eternal. Pharaun: What about those who call themselves Christians, and have faith and all that, but end up murdering people "for God", and stealing, and the like? I think they're a little less deserving of Heaven than a good, kind, faithless agnostic or atheist. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance.
