Jeff is a self-taught programmer, which is a nice way of saying he's not very good at it. Sometimes things that work OK on his computer act a little funny on other people's. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

What you'd want in that case would be an undelete utility, not a backup utility. :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Rhian, an NPC who can join your party in Vanarium, starts with 4 levels of Craft Circle; you can also get 4 levels of Craft Circle for helping the witches in Hagfen. If you put those 4 levels onto Rhian, she'll have a total of 8, which is enough to cast every Craft Circle spell. Okay. You have to use the editor to create a special rectangle somewhere you can reach. Set the special rectangle to call a state (let's say state 99, assuming state 99 doesn't already exist in that town). Then, use a text editor to edit the town script of that town and create state 99. Then, add a move_to_new_town call to transport you to a convenient location in the starting town (town 1). The relevant section of the town script should look something like this: Then, load a saved game and step into the area of the rectangle you've created, and you'll instantaneously be sent back into the middle of Selathni! -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! The whole point of the essence system is that it limits the number of creations you can have at once. Allowing essence pods to restore essence that's tied up in creations would defeat the purpose of that limit. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! The simplest way to get back to the starting town to retrieve your items would probably be to edit ASR's scripts. Just put a move_to_new_town call that moves you back to the starting town in a town that's still accessible to you. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure!
