If that's the chest I'm thinking of, it has the Scroll of Dragon History in it. Which means that if you already got the scroll, it's empty. This is why you should not choose the scroll as your reward. :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

It's influenced by both level and stats. It'll take a lot of messing around with the HLPM to find ALL the ranks, but a high-level character with no points put into any stat is a Hero. I'm pretty sure that starting character class has NO effect on rank. [ Sunday, June 13, 2004 14:18: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Likewise -- and even then, I had to haste some of my characters with potions before the battle. That little experience taught me to always start with at least one character who knows Enduring Barrier. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! After beating Vahkohs for the second time, you need to find him again in his chambers. It's a room you might have gone to before, on the east side of the castle. This time he'll talk to you; you can listen to him, try to kill him again, or both. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! It's all explained in the documentation. Nobody is going to walk you through it, so just play around with scripts and learn for yourself. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Sounds like you need to turn on the power at the very bottom of the school. What's the deepest you've gotten into the lower half of the school so far? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Huh. That didn't happen to me. Hasting beforehand still helps, since you'll want absolutely as many AP in the first round as you can get, even if it's no help in the second round. Unless your version of the scenario forcibly takes you out of combat mode too, in which case, ouch. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Idol... thingy? Unless you mean the unicorn horn, I don't know what you're talking about. If you do mean the unicorn horn, did you get the quest from the unicorns and the horn talisman? I didn't think it was possible to get it without doing so, but I can't find any other explanation. Morog's citadel is on the big hill north and a little west of where you go to get the Melora Opal. You can only approach from the north, I think. You can't possibly go past it without seeing it. The spirit's the one that wanders around outdoors near Pangle's place. I believe you can talk to it after you've finished the scenario (i.e. cleaned up the waste). And Micael, what's the point of repeating exactly what people before you have said? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! There are piercing crystals hidden in various parts of the School of Magery. Search carefully. I don't think it's actually necessary to break any of the barriers anyway. (This, of course, doesn't apply to the green barriers, which you'll need the opening stone to pass.) -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Nah, he'll accept the Melora Opal or the Crystal of Purity as well -- and he gives rewards if you give him more than one thing. Anyway, you can always steal the scroll from Morog if you took the charm. Or if you're feeling lucky, you could just kill Khoth. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! You can't get the spell in VoDT, but you can find Shattering Crystals which do the same thing. Use them sparingly. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

1) I focus on offence, personally. Kill undead (with spells and archery, if possible) before they get to you. No amount of endurance will make you invulnerable. 2) Blessing helps, as do dexterity and gymnastics. 3) Sure, just unequip your weapon. You may be disappointed by the result, though. :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Alternatively, it's possible you don't have enough free space around the entrances and BoA chokes when it tries to place your characters. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
