A hypothetical scenario in Geneforge Series

Option 3.25 is the one for me. Basically, I'd start an underground resistance, slowly picking off the invaders one-by-one. Maybe not as impressive as a blatant, out-in-the-open resistance, but I'd survive longer, and it would probably be more effective.

Seriously, guys. I know we all want to play at being heroes, but if you had that kind of courage in real life you'd already be off doing aid work in Sudan instead of gabbing away on a message board.
Firstly, I'm not sure a bunch of under-21-year-olds are going to help much in the Sudan (Recent polls and censuses have shown that the two leading age majorities on these boards are collage-age and teenagers). Secondly, why go off and fix other nations' troubles when we have crippling problems of our own right here in the good old U.S.A? The Bush Administration has seen to that. Thirdly, there's a lot of good to be done in our own country. We don't have to run off to a foreign country just to prove we're courageous, or to do good.

And as for being a coward: I'm sure that people in the topic situation have a right to be somewhat cowardly, no?

I think it also depends on your ancestry. If there's violence in your ancestry, you're probably more likely to be violent yourself. I have more opinions on this subject, but it's getting off-topic as it is.

No. I'm not viewing this from the emotional aspects, though, but from the political ramifications of such an ill-considered deed. By executing him, he was effectively made a martyr. And that won't be good for anyone involved in this travesty of a war.

And HANGING?!? This isn't the old west, for god's sake, nor is it Texas! There are more humane ways to execute someone. But no. Bush 'has ta string em up' just to get his point across. Which by the way, I'm still not sure what his point is. And to film the thing and show it on national television... Well, maybe there's a bright side to the lack of electricity in Iraq.

M. Night Shyamalan's films tend to not be as frightening as they're portrayed (In my opinion). I actually found Signs to be more humorous than frightening.

The Demonslayer just does extra damage to demons. It doesn't seem that noticeable at first, but have a fighter hack at a demon for a couple turns with the Demonslayer, and then switch to a different sword with similar attack power. The difference is a bit surprising.

The Heartstriker bow just does ridiculous amounts of damage. However, it is easily one of the most powerful weapons in the game, and many have claimed it as their favorite.

I actually did sort of an opposite of this. I trained my spellcasters in the archery skills, so that if my spellcasters ran out of energy, they could pelt enemies with an indefinite number of arrows.

Actually, come to think of it, all my party members had some level of skill in archery.

Easy! Eragon could have been better, but it certainly wasn't terrible.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest. That was pretty good (Though, admittedly, it's the only 2006 movie I've seen, and that's because I got it for Christmas on DVD).

That's actually supposed to say 30 pounds, not 300. Though it would be interesting to find out what it'd be like to have negative weight. Maybe gravity would repel you.

For fake rings, see my above post.

If you wish to leave the Anama, however, then you must talk to high priest in Shaydar. There should be an option to leave the Anama somewhere in his dialogue, though you may have to dig around to find it.

That last one probably won't happen.

That's better, and also a bit more understandable. What it has to do with the topic is that... I'll have to get back with you on that one.

canisters in Geneforge Series

Member # 7472

Hmm. I'm not a big fan of canisters, because the price is too steep for the rewards. However, there are a couple of experiments I would like to see done, simply to sate my curiosity.

First, using canisters as a form of accelerated evolution. Have several people use a canister, but not allow them access to further canisters. Then, have the next generation of the canister descendants use a canister, so on an so forth. This might be able to gradually increase the strength of a population while avoiding the detrimental effects on the mind.

Second, using canisters as a form of pre-programming someone's genes from birth. This might be able dodge the mental effects because the young body would (hopefully) be able to adapt to the change.

Unfortunately, OTAT is not good at noticing edited posts.

Why not place guards on both Smoos? It would essentially make wereSmoo useless to Attorosi, because wereSmoo couldn't make a move without alerting the boards to his activity.

Or, you could shackle them both up, and have the Mystic decide which one's the real Smoo.
