The separate keypad doesn't always work with all the games. Still for a few dollars you can try. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Not under that name as capture soul. It's probably a hold over from Avernum games where it's 2 different spells where one captures and the other makes the copy. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I liked how SoT managed to drag himself out of harm's way using that trick. It was easy enough to die that close to victory. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

The pack mule will suck of expierence so you will want it to do some fighting even if it wastes a round to dump everything. You will never get enough strength to carry everything without some encumberance. Geneforge 4 and Avernum 5 are changed so you no longer get encumbered by the pack items. In practice the best method is to clear an area and pick up items on the return trip. It's hard because you want to get them now and not have to remember where you found them. Read through the information in this link. It has a picture of the blocks so you'll understand the explanation better. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

It's a trick question. The childless spider has no children so the answer is 0, zero. You weren't paying attention. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You can fix it with the advanced feature to get special item 14. Or you can go into Hagfen to the east of the Hollow Hills and kill the basilisks in the east part and get another key off the body there. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
Book or Movie? in General | |

2001 the book at least had an understandable ending compared to the movie that was all about special effects and trying to be clever. It depends upon the specific case. The Maltese Falcon as a book was mostly describing the case as Sam Spade goes through the city outdoors. The movie version takes place almost entirely indoors in a few rooms. They are both great, but different interpretations of the plot to fit the media. LOTR was cut down to fit a movie in a reasonable length of time. It couldn't have every scene from the book. Thired? It really depends upon the book and movie. You can't generalize. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Jeff likes them enough to play, but not enough to make one. There is a huge start up cost in not only developing the game, but the hardware to allow enough people to play without the system slowing down. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

It's okay, I went through a long string of dialog boxes without noticing what they were about. It was a day later that I noticed I got a quest from them. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Jeff said once that Geneforge was originally going to be a science fiction based game. He never really mentioned what inspired it. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

There are two places to get the third key. The lowest level of the Goblin Pits has a secret passage in the northwest that goes south to a body on a ledge overlooking rats and north of the fire lizards. The second plave is in Galag-Trav upper level when you finally reach the southwest section push a button on a stone monument to unlock the gate to reach the body next to the magical barrier.
