Lazarus was a biblical character who was raised from the dead, and I've seen his name used to symbolize an understanding of death (theres some T.S. Eliot for you Trinity!!!) Basically hes back from the dead, as am I. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Posts: 900 | Registered: Monday, August 8 2005 07:00 |

I must admit that T.S. Eliot was one of the last names i expected to see on these lists. His constant allusions to books I haven't read go right over my head, but I suppose if you HAVE read them, it would be more enjoyable. Besides that most of the books here that I've read were pretty good. No Thralni I'm not Dutch. And yes, Holden is most deffinately a head case, and his cynicism is probably simultaneously the most enjoyable and annoying thing about the book. Well its been awhile since i started a truly random topic, so here goes. I just finished reading The Catcher in the Rye, and for the first time i actually enjoyed reading one of the "classic" novels that you always have to read in school. So it prompted me to start this topic. Which classic books have you most enjoyed. As I stated earlier I enjoyed The Catcher in The Rye, and reading Greek mythology in the Odyssey had its interesting moments as well. Also A Tale of Two Cities was good for about two chapters in the very end, but was a drag the rest of the way. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Well I ranked E3 and A3 as great. Mostly this is because E3 was the first spidweb game i played, and a long time favorite since i was little. A3 didnt lose to much, and A1 was cool as well. I haven't played A2, but after all the rave reviews im seeing i might have to. BOA has been a pretty big dissapointment, but I can't really compare it to anything similar becuase i never got BOE, so it got an average. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. I will express my opinion by means of a post, rather than using Arghhs poll, which as usual has way to many unnecessary choices (the number of choices doens't dictate the quality of a poll believe it or not.) I'll take a comedy any day, only the best of action movies (Matrix, Terminator) can temporarily convince me otherwise. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Has anyone ever told u that you remind them of Peppermint Patty, the girl in the Peanuts comic strip? I guess its the green shirt, the close cut hair, and the freckles, but thats the first thing i thought of. Maybe I'll call you sir henceforth. And on the topic of long hair for guys, I had short hair for the longest time and am beginning to grow it out now. But its to much maintanence, washing and combing. Probably gonna cut it. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Posts: 900 | Registered: Monday, August 8 2005 07:00 |

You'll know its eagle rock cuz there is a sign, and a special encounter. If you desire a THIRD mithril broadsword (they are very sexy and i seem to find them hard to resist) you can use the lumps from Sulfras, but you will sacrifice the Beastslayer Blade. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Off the topic of bashing Arggh, and back to the real subject, the books. I read the original ones a while ago and thoguht they were good. When they started bringing in new authors and making tons of spin offs I stopped reading them. I forget what the first series or two were called, but after the ones named after the seasons, it was pretty much down hill. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. You can either run past a series of rooms, while getting shot at by archers, or return fire with your own archers and mages. After 2 or 3 of such rooms you get to the end. If you go to far north you exit the level (I think), but if you search the wall for a secret passage then you can enter the bandit's hideout, and kill anyone left. (Indcluding Elram.) -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Posts: 900 | Registered: Monday, August 8 2005 07:00 |

Sephiroth gets my vote. Of the Final Fantasy games I've played, Chaos seems to just jump out of nowhere for a final confrontation at the end. Sin/Jecht were to strange, and didnt even seem to be evil, quite unlike Sephiroth. I can't even remember Final Fantasy 2's villain, so it obviously wasn't very inspiring. I think Sephiroth worked so well for me because a lot of time was spent developing his character, and getting to know him. Plus he looks bad and has a big sword. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Posts: 900 | Registered: Monday, August 8 2005 07:00 |

This post is all the more idiotic for the fact that in order to register, you must submit ur own registration number. The chance that someone else on this board has the same code, and is going to give u the corresponding code is pretty slim. Anyways asking for codes on a shareware board is an offense often punished by tarring and feathering. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? No if you've got all the stuff mentioned here, your done with the boat. The waterfalls just serve to provide a border for the underworld (it would look kinda crappy if the river just ran right off the map). The orb can't be used in the underworld in e3, or anywhere else Jeff doesn't want you flying (strangely it CAN be used in caves in earlier games.) -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Alorael is hinting that you should sneak in through the barrier tunnel, once you break the barriers and an army of troglos is released. A better way is just to go back to the troglo castle (through the front gate.) It is open once you have ended the plague, you'll be free to kill the King, and loot the place. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Nice dialog. But where are you going to fit it into the scenario. My only concern is if people will be patient enough to read it (especially if the whole thing is like that.) Anyway I didn't play A2, so I don't know how much of that is just off the top of your head, but it looks good. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Even when you become a member of the Anama, all they do is nod in greeting. Evidently Anama members are just jerks (or they are just to busy to talk to the adventurers who saved their good for nothing island.) Edit: didn't see second page, and didn't know conversation had moved on. Oh, and Bolt of fire is valuable in my book, at least it makes your spell list look complete (its level three after all) [ Monday, October 31, 2005 18:01: Message edited by: StryveCOR ] -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Yeah, strong skill potions are the best of all. But I think the only place I've ever found one is for beating the slimes. Weak potions can be found in junk shops, if you're lucky. Also there are medium skill potions, but I've only seen those in junk shops as well. Basically they all are very good, and rare. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. The empire side is easier, you get better rewards, and yes, you can kill Jaen (the empire leader)at the end fairly easily. Plus Stalker is an ungrateful jerk, as are all the rebels. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? I have a quick question that just came to me when I read this post. I know in A3 the Avernites have the Orb, but how did they get it? The group you played in A1 that found it had it when they escaped to the surface right? NPC's in A3 talk all the time about how they never heard from the group again, so shouldn't the orb have been lost again. (I never played A2, maybe something obvious happened there that I just never heard) -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Yeah I saw Alint, and the sight was down (I think I found the link at your site actually). Did you say it was only for Mac, because in that case it doesn't help me much. Anyway I just figured that if you spent hours writing code, and then have to look over it line by line for a mistype, you would eventually write something to do it for you. Its his job after all. I don't really know what im talking about. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Posts: 900 | Registered: Monday, August 8 2005 07:00 |
