Making a mod isn't the same thing as licensing someone else's engine so you can use it to make your own game; at least not by my understanding of the term.

More people have posted than have answered the poll. Verbally assaulting you, while taking more effort, is just that much more rewarding.

Feel the scorn.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: If any such content DOES exist, it certainly isn't made by Jeff. Spiderweb is a business-- why in the world would Jeff waste his time building stuff on other engines when he could instead be building (And SELLING) games on his own engine?

It could be that you've been downloading older scenarios (Which were packaged in older versions of Stuffit) and so they're messing up when you uncompress them. Or it could be that your version of Stuffit was updated somehow.

Or it could be that I'm a PC user and don't know what the hell I'm talking about.....

I think it's an issue with Stuffit. Download an older version of it and reinstall the scenario and it should work (Or so I've heard is the solution for other graphics related problems.)

It's made by me.

Nuff said.

Edit: Seriously though, don't let ALR freak you out. There are crappy scenarios out there, but most all of them will at least function.

E:R has Parting Shot and the rest of the Immortals gear, which makes it well worthwhile. The Tales have some decent gear, but I don't know how useful it'd be to Pariah or Avatar. You won't get any exp, so it's only worth going through if you haven't played it already.

One more dialog error. in Blades of Avernum Editor

I don't think this is the first time you've posted a chunk of dialog with misused conditions. It's important you understand what exactly they do.

The following (Correct)
begintalknode 5;
state = 1;
nextstate = -1;
condition = (get_flag(0,23) == 4);
question = "What now?";
Essentially is evaluated like this:
if(get_flag(0,23) == 4)
show_node();
The same way that
state = 5;Essentially means
[code]if(current_state == 5)
show_node();
[code]
It isn't necessary to put brackets after condition = (some statement), just as it isn't necessary to put one after state = (some value). Both end with a semicolon, just like question, text1, etc.

You should try SoG. It'll be a cakewalk, the priests sell some good spells, and the ghosts actually drop some pretty decent stuff. Plus you might be strong enough to try for that treasure in the crypts (I don't remember if it was worthwhile, though, or how grossly overpowered the guards were.)

Classic. I actually restore your stats at the end of the Tales, so you don't have to rip those apart if you want to go through and get the souvenirs. Be thankful. :P

Superbad and The Bourne Ultimatum are easily my top two, but I also enjoyed 3:10 to Yuma, The Darjeeling Limited, and Knocked Up. Still really want to see No Country for Old Men and Eastern Promises; they'll be showing at the student union soon, which is convenient since the only thing I like more than a good movie is a free good movie.

Insects and Special are immune to webs, not slimes. So unless the slimes in Exodus are accidentally set to be insects, it should affect them.

New Scenario: Tales From the Tabard Inn in Blades of Avernum

You were supposed to be able to switch your PC's graphic to the custom ones (The graphic used by whichever NPC is telling you the Tale in the inn.) Graphics in CMGs are supposed to override default graphics, which is why Mac users don't need to copy the graphics into the data folders to have these graphics accessible.

And what do you mean by unexpectedly end? Did it crash, or did it end the way it's supposed to? (You're supposed to teleport out and find yourself in a clearing, same as in the prisoner's side.)

I'm pretty sure you can augment any item, even junk items, so I'm not terribly surprised. I didn't remember finding augmented stuff lying around, though.

Windows 3D editor ate my scenario! in Blades of Avernum Editor

I've had this happen to me several times before, and it's always been caused by increasing outdoor size. It's fairly consistent (If I reload from the backup and try to increase outdoor size again, towns get corrupted in the same way), but I DO remember successfully increasing outdoor size once before, so hell if I know why for some scenarios it will consistently crash while for others it will work.

Apparently Isaac and company saw this one coming, because the .bas.bak files are always created when you try to increase outdoor size. wOOt

I realized a good way into the scenario that I was being very inconsistent with the "Wait to proceed" / "Attempt to move to proceed" / "Try to talk to proceed" thing, and I apologize. There were times when doing the "Attempt to move" option was required due to engine limitations (Can't move to a new town unless I make you step on a special), and there were other times when for whatever reason I decided to trigger the special from the start_state, so you had to wait instead of trying to move. I probably should have given you both options whenever possible (OCCASIONALLY I do, but not as often as I should), so yeah.... I was too lazy to go back and rip everything apart once I realized this.

Glad you enjoyed it despite this.

I don't think they should cast shadows. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 'reasoning' behind invisibility/cloaking and the like usually that the caster somehow causes light to bend around them, instead of reflect off them? In that case they shouldn't cast shadows.

I have plans for Kneece-- don't mess with it until I have a chance to at least reveal what I've got there.

And do whatever you want with Softport, although I don't know what an earthquake would accomplish except create more carnage. The land is in ruin anyhow, an earthquake would just be piling it on.
