I see. So, TGM pretty much can return, but he simply chooses not to and rants absurd profanities instead at making a comeback, so he pretty much is never coming back. Goatse...as in making a whole bunch of links to useless web sites (or spam sites) or the "other" meaning that I can't mention because it would violate the CoC?

Edit: Run-on typo sentence

If TGM made such an impact to the SW community, why would he say such bad things? According to what people are posting about TGM, he didn't sound like a bad person, with the exception of the goatse incident that got him the ban.

Do you like school? in General

Most of my school years were rather pointless. High school was only good as a means of socialization, but nothing else. It was until I started college last week that things got better. Like someone mentioned already, you choose your times and the classes.

The only downside is paying for your education now (of course, parents payed their part with taxes and all...unless they didn't) is that a lot of young adults have to take out student loans with financial aid if you lack the budget to pay the tuition. I, on the other hand, do not worry with such financial obligations as I have scholarships to back me up for at least 3 years. (hopefully an internship will pay the rest)

College is a heck of a lot better than K-12, and I like every minute of it.

I also chose to go to college as well. Nobody forced me into it. Of course, I do know some people that use college as a way to party all night long and waste their parents' money for it...

Oh, I wonder on what's the average age that people go to college. Is it 18 nowadays? I'm only 17 and I just started at USC (Southern Cali., not South Carolina) a week ago...

Since this appears to be another spam like topic, shouldn't this thread be moved to the RW boards? (I assume that's where people spam the most) I also do not understand the point of this thread. I mean, is there a reason why Morgan is the best?

Edit: Now that I think about it, this topic really should be locked.

To prevent "opinion plagerism", I'll just say that I "agree" with Kingy's statement of the Abyss members having it rough with the good citizens of Avernum.

As long as A4 as a good quality storyline with an easy to use interface that makes spell casting and combat better, then I'm happy with it. Graphics aren't the reason that many of us chose to play the Avernum/Exile and Genefroge series in the first place. I bet it was the story behind them.

People are still going to register A4 one way or another. I'm confident that JV will pull out a quality game.

It looks like a serious cross blending of Geneforge and Avernum, but it looks okay. I thought Jeff was planning on using a new game engine, not something recycled...

The story sounds awfully familar from Avernum 3, with something causing destruction upon the land. Could it be the Vahnatai, coming back for ultimate revenge once more, or is it something deeper?

Perhaps someone should make a stick figure picture of Jeff Vogel and Richard White singing on stage. Read the RW thread "A Touching Tribute: A Satire In Song" for more details...(Icshi made a great song out of that, by the way)

About picture #2, even though it probably is Drakefyre, I thought he was supposed to be a 7 year old vahnatai...

HLPM updated! in Blades of Avernum

I just finished playing around with the updated HLPM and there appears to be no bugs or any problems of the sort. The re-make of all the rooms gives it a true scenairo feel to it. The library is now bigger with all BoA summary reviews to date, the arena, shop and level maker are all seperate now rooms now. The new panic buttons are good too, in case you happen to get stuck, which I haven't yet.

I'd say that this version is ready to be put on Spiderweb's website.

New Updated HLPM rating: 5 stars out of 5 stars!

-...and that's Jeros' two cents of the day... :D

Edit: Extra comments and minor typos.

Speaking of godaddy.com, didn't they air a controversal commercial during last season's Super Bowl, with the woman who "accidentally" had one of her bra straps come loose in the court room with the judge getting some air from the oxygen tank?

I don't even know if anyone even remembers it, since it was aired only once...

Yeah, about the whole "bungee jumping off of an airplane thing", I was just being sarcastic on that. It actually is an extreme sport hobby for some people, believe it or not. I personally am afraid of heights, so I wouldn't even dare to dream of doing it.

Now, as for some serious free time activities, since major sports are coming back in the fall, try tuning in to some Monday Night Football and kick back with some friends or even do some odd jobs that need done around the house. Fixing something that's been put off for a while, this could be the time to do those things. Of course, a lot of people do tend to be "professional procrastinators"...

A good book to read would be "The Boy Who Reversed Himself" by William Sleator, well if you're a mathmatician geek and all, or other classics that I used to read at a younger age like "Timeline" or even Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game".

As for movie time wasters, um..., a Monty Python movie is good for a few laughs, or some war movies, like "Alexander" or something like that...

As for activities that can waste time, how about bungee jumping off of an airplane? Great waste of time there, but life risking as well...

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that I have already started a car thread like 2 weeks ago, under the "Favorite Car" title. Anyways, I'm assuming that you're mentioning this because I read in the newspaper about a "Woodward Dream Cruise" that had a whole bunch of classic and muscle cars being showcased.

I do not have particular car favorites as I'm fine with any car that is in good condition and can take me from point A to point B.

If that's the case probably Auron from Final Fantasy 10, though he wasn't exactly seen as a hero, being dead and all...

As for a real life hero, I have none.

That is one messed up flash cartoon, but nonetheless, very stupid and funny, that I fell off my chair laughing, really.

I mean, it takes them 9 times to reach Mars to find out what causes "Ziggy Boogie Dooge"?

So funny with all the nuclear explosions and all, classic...

Alas, the best part was the final statement mentioning that the movie has successfully wasted a half hour of your life...

Conspiricys in General

Hmm...conspiracies...(Edit: Misspelled by one letter, "i" is changed to "a")

1. The Bermuda Triangle, unless that's just a myth and is false...

2. The Devil's Sea near Japan, similar to the Bermuda Triangle, unless that is also false and just a child's myth...

3. Is the United States government really hiding the truth about aliens and the "dark" secrets of Area 51, or is that just a false paradoy?

4. What is the truth behind fluffy turtles and the ferret attack army?

5. Do some video games and television programs send subliminal messages to our heads to brainwash us for some top secret project?

6. Are satellites and meteors really going to fall on top of us and kill us all in this lifetime?

7. Will we ever see a picture of Alorael or will he forever be a nigma, minus his real name in his profile...unless that's not his real name...

8. Do UFOs really exist or just made up to scare people?

9. Hey, at least we know who Deepthroat is. That's no longer a conspiracy...unless there's more to Watergate than meets the eye... :D

10. Was the Manhatten Project really a cover up for something else or was it really what it seemed to be? Well, dropping nukes to kill 80,000+(may be higher or lower, I'm just estimating this statistic) Japanese civilians isn't exactly being conservative, but it sure was an effective method to force the Japanese to surrender...

These are just a few I can think of off the top of my head...

Post Comment on Bermuda Triangle: Though it is true that ships disappear a lot around that area, there is still no scientific proof that makes this area less safe than other areas for ships. The Bermuda Triangle area is used frequently for shipping and trading on a daily basis. Check on encyclopedia sources for more details :)

Better yet, copy the URL address and put it in your post. It's faster and better than trying to manually type in the URL.

As for the topic in question, if I'm not mistaken, has this article been mentioned before or was it something else?

...er, never mind. The second link works fine.

PS: It appears that some members like to use that Wikipedia website a lot as some of the unusual posted articles I've seen recently seem to come from there...
