From my experiences, a rebel who acts as a Trakovite gets something close to the rebel ending, but without the tyrant leader ending, and a dialogue about the continuing struggle of the rebels rather than complete destruction of the shapers. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. I, too, had difficulty finding the papers. They are in a container near Monarch's personal quarters. You couldn't open it before you killed him, because it had some sort of ward. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

I agree about the magical Eyebeast, or something like it. There should be a magic version of every item hidden somewhere in the games. The crescent rock from G1, the cake... Just to keep you on your toes, collecting trash, bones, and scales. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

Is the honestly any benefit to using a lantern or other light source? They assist slightly in lighting, but nothing that would actually help, typically. Do they function as additional radiance, to ward off undead, or is light really just useless? -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Thankyou infitinely. I had cleared his quarters before facing him, and been kept away by the shock. After that, I guess I just had it in my head that I had checked everything in that area. One more stupid question, having already made a fool of myself. How exactly are "chapters" defined? -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. You would think I had never played a Spiderweb game before, by the way I have become hung up on this quest... I honestly can not find the papers, having killed everything in the fens. Could someone point me in the right direction? -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

[QUOTE]Originally written by Dintiradan: It'd be funny if we had Thanksgiving in late November up here. Snow is commonplace. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

Certainly, but individuals who adopt such practices are not looking for realism, but simply want to fool the game. Perhaps, if you wanted to prevent that, you could create a point at which people start asking questions. "You know, Bob, it seems like every time that man comes into my shop, my safe goes missing." "That's odd, the same thing happens to me..." Similar to being seen, but not so severe. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. I don't know... It seemed to me as though the possibility of theft was something that rather tied in with the morally contradictory nature of the game. It's not nice to take things from farmers, but if you use it to save the serviles... But if you are careful, there are rarely consequences. Creating a skill would give incentive to take the risk, and perhaps pay for it. It wouldn't have to be a prominent aspect, just an option. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Could there actually be a beast more fearsome than an Eyebeast? That was certainly the most powerful creation I ever utilized. Without the assitance of two, Inner Gazak-Uss would not have been possible. I drool. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. How exactly do you go about updating without losing your saved games or registration? Additionally, could someone tell me the location of some more Citaraches other than the mine in the Great Cave and the Eastern Gallery? Once I update I would like to be able to see the new graphic, and I have already eliminated most of them. If there are no more of them, I also ask that someone else post a picture. I have been having the same problem with disapearing pictures. I found that going into the party editior and reselecting the image for the charector in question brought it back. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

Perhaps you were used to the G3 method. It makes it both easier, and harder. Keep in mind that unlock is worth about 2-3 living tools, so if you get a door down to that worth with living tools, you can cast the spell and it will usually open. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Artillia eyes are useful for forging, and can be sold for profit, as well. Editors work for both Mac and Windows, because their a text file, and thus not platform sensitive. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

Yeah, Arghhhhhhhhh. At some point, you find that $27 is cheaper than spending all your time trying to play the game through everyone else in the forum. It also causes less irritation for the other people in the forum. Not that I can talk about irritating people... *cringes in corner, waiting for blow to fall* -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. You know, single play in A4 is getting dangerously near Geneforge. From what I've seen in this forum, most of you don't want that. I understand you like Avernum better than the Geneforge world (I do, too), but you almost might as well play Geneforge if you're not going to take advantage of multi-PC capabilities. Its that that made me put A4 above the Geneforge series. Now, having set myself up for the inevitable mocking that is given a Genforge fan in the A4 forum, I'll go off and live the rest of my life. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. The Establishment is amazingly helpful... Just post and you get a detailed answer to your problem. Just as long as they don't get too helpful. That makes the game as easy as it is with cheats or a trainer. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

You Know, when a topics been dead for six centuries, its interesting to go back and look at what you wrote. I, looking back, have some things to revise. Jordan is not crap, but does get boring after the sixth book. The tenth book has no action, because he put it all in eleven, making it seem rushed. As for Salvatore, he aint great literature, he's just another fantasy writer. Drizzt is a cool charecter though. George R. R. Martin. I started reading his stuff, and like it so far. Unfortunately, I still have yet to find anything that even comes close to Tolkien. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |
