Did anyone else find that you can walk through it and finish the game in the dark.

Yep. Actually, it's nice not seeing all those geneforgish graphics.

Yeah, I hate the current graphics, why did they have to tamper with perfection. The other Avernums had a great classic look to them, I just find the new ones as a bit of a let down.

To get into formello, you need to complete some other quests in the plot line; I believe that you need to clear out the mine north of Fort Draco.

Buy it from Swampwalker Hurking SE of Formello or steal it out from under the nose of Hamer the priest to the E of Fort Draco.

I do like the ability to tell a nephil from a slith, though. Also, Liches in A1-BoA look like stick figures. I'm not sure whether they still do, or whether they still exist, but I'm just saying...

...you can complete the game in the dark?

In my version, you were stopped 5-6 spaces away from the section's boundary.

Yea, I'm seeing if I can finish the game in the darkness. It's a real challenge. I can't get out of Almaralia. I don't have enough strength to turn the wheels. Is there anyway out? Or is there an extension of the sewers?

P.S. Those angry guards are annoying!

Isn't it easier (no pun inteded, see later on) to play the game on Torment than finish the game in the dark? Or are you just being cheap?

The wheels cannot be turned. Sneak past the shade by staying against the northeast wall and you should find another way back underground. Follow that tunnel and keep going. Be careful, you will be ambushed by bandits near the end.

The Establishment is amazingly helpful... Just post and you get a detailed answer to your problem. Just as long as they don't get too helpful. That makes the game as easy as it is with cheats or a trainer.

You didn't find it. That's what this entire thread is about!

I also have to doubt that you did play through the entire game in any way. I'm even dubious about whether or not you played through the demo. Your questions are all things that are easily discovered during play.

Actually, I am planning on registering, but I wanted to see if I could finish the game with no land tiles visible. I am at the part where I have to go to the Northwest tunnels and have just killed the agent.
I think I will probably finish it within the month. The hard part is not being able to pass rivers, because you can't see the difference between land and water tile.
