Do you guys think this game will be historical, or completely fiction. I'm fine either way because the games are always good, but if it was historical I hope for something similar to the legend of El Cid. Its quite an interesting story that would be great for a game. As there is no forum truly for this subject, I have put it in General for the eyes of all viewers. The current plans if I'm not mistaken are G5, A6 and then... a new world. What will this world be like do you think? Will there be multiple PCs like Avernum, or will there be a singleton like Geneforge. Will there be traditional magic like Avernum, or will there be radical magic like Shaping? Can you choose your very own side, or will it be pre-set? And what will the new engine be like? I'm hoping that the engine will have two levels of elevation in the same area. This could lead to more interesting combat situations, where you're positioning is more important. I also hope there will be a more radical plot line like Geneforge, which I like better than Avernum. Then it will be more of a surprise in the plot. I'm ot saying not to use anybody else's idea, and I'm not saying that people don't think for themselves. I'm saying they should think more for themselves. There are too many that don't think enough. Too many people are essentially sheep. They go where they're told, do what they're told, and think what hey're told. It shouldn't be like that. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

But it leads to a large possability of stunted growth in humanity. If people were to follow someone that didn't take steps forward, than our civilization would freeze, and possibly permanantly hurt. Too many people can't think for themselves and just look to others. There should certainly be some of this, but more people should be able to come up with more individual ideas. Why is it that humanity strives, above all otther things, to imitate each other, and gain supremecy. Whenever people see something new and "popular" we do exactly that to try to imitate the most liked and succesful people around us. If one makes an effort to make something "popular," as long as you are liked by the masses, it is easy to spread something throuh communities. It is so simplistic, and easy, but almost nobody realizes it. Humanity is so easy to win over, that it is no wonder that governments usually have a group of campaigners trying to make their party look the best. Nobody is immune to this. Those who claim to stay away from mainstream activities just go with the unpopular mainstream. What would humanity be without their leaders? Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

This poll is about forging. I personally liked the G3, G4 way of forging better than the G1, G2 way. I like the anvil, it was a good idea to add it as it adds a whole new dimension to the game. I liked the items of G3 the best, specifically the artifacts. In G4 I miss the Emerald Chestguard a lot. Poll Information This poll contains 3 question(s). 5 user(s) have voted. Thyey probably came from the Northwest or something. They most likely came from the north since they came from a cold and icy place. They also could have come from the south. A much less likely scenario is that the map isn't up=north, down=south etc. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Hasn't the U.S. got enough enemies already? They're already the number one target for terrorists, do they really need Russia as their enemy to. Once I had a geography teacher that decided that geogeaphy class was end of the world class. He'd tell us how we'd get into huge nuclear wars in the future and other stuff like that. There are exceptions, and maybe you are the exception or maybe the people I know are the exception. All I know is that the Christians I know don't understand Paganism. They actually think that pagans are people that sell their souls to the devil or whatever evil people are supposed to do. Another annoying thing about religion is that people make attempts to convert you. My friend has made many attempts to trick me into reading the bible and it has gotten extremely annoying. I have t deal with religion every day of my life, and I don't like it. Religion clouds peoples minds and make people think that when somebody helps them it is actually god reaching out to them. Also, the concepts of some religions are incredibly ignorant. For instance, Christianity is basically based around someone sending someone else to suffer a lot of pain for others. That is incredibly mean and unfair. To make someone suffer incredibly for others is extremely unfair and cruel. Also, how can there be a god when there is so much pain, cruelty and unfairness in the world. Couldn't he/she change things for the better? Think of all the poverty in Africa. The gods of religions haven't done anything about that. What about Hitler and George Bush? "God" hasn't done anything about that. So called "God" hasn't done very much good. You know, if real relationships were so much better than here nobody would be here. Why would somebody be here if they could be doing something far funner with someone in person. I only come here when I have nothing to say to the people around me in person, and most other people probably come under the same circumstances to. This board would be empty if we weren't having fun talking to each other. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I doubt that the posters post just to have a high post count. They post opinions and such, the post counter is more of a nice little thing of to the side that gives you information on what you have been like each month. It's just a useful thing to know, not something to make people post so that they get to be number one. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Darn, I will miss them. I liked them, but I don't post just to have a high post count. I post for fun, and I don't think that anyone would post just to have a high post count. It just doesn't make sense. Not very many people have enough relevent things to say the be the number one poster, and if people kept posting irrelevant things the rest of the board would get pretty annoyed with them. I don't think that it's the post counter that's killing the boards, I think that it is the posters. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I personally think that religion is not a good thing. It has led to genocide, murder, racism, terrorists, lack of understanding, and much more. It causes a more black and white vision to things, and leads to ignorance of anything that contradicts their religion. For instance, Christians all think that pagans are people that believe in the devil, but that is only because they believe in someone completely different than Jesus or whoever it is that Christians believe in. Religion leads to ignorance, which in turn leads to worse things. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
