quote:I do like the ability to tell a nephil from a slith, though. Also, Liches in A1-BoA look like stick figures. I'm not sure whether they still do, or whether they still exist, but I'm just saying... Well, I got it fixed. I read on some forum that, oddly enough, opening Garageband will fix any sound problem on your Mac. And, oddly enough, it actually worked. It fixed all the other problems that seemed to result from this, so I must congratulate Apple for including a hidden troubleshooting program that it bundles with many of their computers. And you can make music with it! Posts: 6 | Registered: Monday, November 21 2005 08:00 |

So, basically, the only disadvantage to dying is that the party loses any advantage that PC had until it gets revived? That would be nice... PS, you live in the same city I do. Lolz. Posts: 6 | Registered: Monday, November 21 2005 08:00 |

Heh, the Giant Friendly Spiders thing isn't really very easy to believe. No offense. I don't really think that the whole "Reload once a PC dies" thing is cheating. I do it ALL the time. Ressurection isn't worth it, in my opinion, mostly because you lose all the items you previously had. I hope the people behind this aren't the Vahnatai again, as that isn't really a deep plot. I like the Vahnatai, and want to kill something other than them. Though, if it really IS giant "friendly" spiders, I wouldn't have a problem with that. There are actually a lot of things I like about Exile better than Avernum, especially the graphics (I could tell the difference between a Slith and a Nephil very easily in Exile) and the spell variety (I really liked Scry Monster and area effect spells). So, I would like it if there was an Exile IV, but it's fine with just an Avernum IV, especially because of engine changes as well as the ability to tell sliths and nephils apart. OK, I had Exile III sitting minimized in my dock for a while (but the application was open). When I opened it back up, I realized that I needed to change my colors to 256 colors. I was in the middle of a small battle. I was fighting when I realized, "These sounds are a bit strange." I then realized that all the Exile III sounds have sped up, including the intro screen sounds. This probably isn't a fatal error, but it certainly is annoying. The strange thing is, the sounds worked perfectly fine the last time I was playing (though between then and now, a different user logged on, I logged back in, I used the internet for a while, this happened, then I restarted the computer to see if it would fix it, which was futile). I kinda want to know what's going on, and how to fix it. I don't really want to redownload Exile III just to replace my sound file, especially if it doesn't work, or, even worse, unregisters the game. I use Mac OS 10.4.0.
