The fatal bug Drake is referring to occurs if you try to skip the first cutscene in Bahss. Not sure about the others.

Sorry for your loss.

If drowning your sorrows in pixels is what you feel like doing, fine by me. Maybe BoE will be to your liking. It's my favourite by a large margin, and is enough to keep you going for years if that's what you want...

Plus, it makes it easy for young Spaniards to hunt you down for killing their fathers when they grow up. And preparing to die is such a bother.

Assuming that a state larger than most countries only really has people living in one city is extremely insulting to the people from other places.

A typical conversation for me would go like this.

"I grew up in Queensland."

"Oh, what part of Brisbane?"

"There's a lot of Queensland that isn't Brisbane, you know."

"Oh, sorry. Where were you?"

"Do you know Aramac?"

"...no."

"Barcaldine?"

"Nope."

"Longreach?"

"Sorry."

"Rockhampton?"

"Oh, I know Rockhampton! So you were near there?"

"If eight hours drive is near, yes."

I still sometimes use "American" to refer to a citizen of the United States, but only through lack of a better polite word. The rest of the time, they're Yanks.

Mate, it's impossible for there to be an all-Adelaide Grand Final. An all Adelaide semi-final is on the cards, though.

EDIT: Change that to certain, after Port belts the Kangas by 87 points. Your tips are going badly. :P

What TM said in the other thread got me thinking.

Some of you might have noticed my sig. I added it for fun, as I've been fairly heavily involved in the planning of other people's scenarios lately. I gave TM some advice on the storyline of Mad Ambition, and I've helped Bain formulate the scenario he's working on now. Zeviz recently sent me a fairly detailed script for the scenario he's making for the Pearl contest, and I gave him a bunch of advice on that.

I've really enjoyed this, especially helping Bain and Zeviz (as I've been involved more heavily with those scenarios). I get to see what exciting ideas they've come up with, and to help make them better. I think it's also more helpful than the typical situation where a designer releases a scenario, gets reviews that say "too much combat", and then has to try again. This way, I get the opportunity to say "I see what you're trying to do with that... but I think you could make it more effective if you did like this." rather than just writing "okay, nothing special" in a CSR ranking. It's even better than the best beta-testing, as you can make radical changes at will.

But I was wondering, what if this was the norm? Why not do it more? Would more people take the option if they knew it was there?

So basically I'm sounding out interest. If people think the idea is a really good one, we could even try to get guys like Alcritas and Drizzt on board as "scenario consultants".

EDIT: TM says he's always up for it as well.

Last night's game was a beauty for a low-scoring match, right up to the point where the Crows lost. Oh well. They have the big Roo to come back and it was very close, so I'm not too worried.

I hope that Port beats the Kangaroos, because then we'll have a Showdown Final - or maybe a Final Showdown? Either way, I was hoping for an all-Adelaide final, and it looks like I might get it. As long as the Kangas don't ruin it, that is.

Whoever wins that game, the Crows should take care of them without much trouble, which means they'll face West Coast (who beat Sydney in a tight one) in the Preliminary Final... and they beat the Weagles quite recently. So I think they're still definite premiership contenders.

When I tell people I'm from Queensland, they often ask which part of Brisbane. I suppose that in the same way, 'America' implies the USA. That is, to stupid people.

It's a bit of a different culture here. No one goes 'hunting'. Instead, they go 'shooting'. This involves driving a ute around at night, with a person on the back flashing a spotlight around, and blowing away any kangaroos/pigs/whatever takes your fancy that you come across.

'Hunting' implies stealth. :P

I'm Nathan, people in real life call me Aussie. For several years I shared a screenname (The Creator) with my brother, until I left home. I work at a radio station in Canberra. My main talent appears to be fooling people into thinking I have others.
