The only people who can really assist you are your parents and the local authorities. Being that you are able go online you should fallow up on Alec's suggestions in addition to informing your parents of what is happening. Also staying out of trouble in the meantime is a good idea. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I rank between 2-3, and it feels like I am here that much. There are however several topics I don't post in, nor do I post constant inane spam. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I suppose it's a matter of perception. I figured it was referring to gender, but I would assume if someone wanted to know, they would just ask, “What are your sexual preferences”. I've often seen applications or forms use the word “sex” when asking one's gender. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

You are allowed to have six different creatures in your group, including you and Greta/Alwan. You can either have four different creations and take Alwan or Greta, or you can have five different creations and not take Alwan or Greta. quote:I purposely left a vague description of the factions and their general goals. I would rather he go through the dialogue and the story and figure out what is really happening on his own. I know there is more complexity too the story than I said, but why say everything when giving a general statement. Also, I beg too differ on the statement of this being any different from the other two Geneforge plots. There may be variations in setting, characters, side stories, and things of that nature, but the basic concept itself is almost exactly the same for all three. Hoge is killable in the school, but he is exceedingly resilient and powerful. I used the dialogue option to make him attack me, but I assume I could have just hit him first. I've killed him everywhere now, and have not found him to be unkillable in any situation . I don't know about the other characters. I used the cheat script and was able to kill him in two hits, but he could have also killed me in two hits. Edit: He will however reincarnate to where he is meant to be next. There are only two factions, which are the Rebels and the Shapers. The Shapers want to keep their laws enforced while keeping their creations under control, and prevent the world from gaining access to their secrets. Since you are a very gifted young apprentice they want you to help them bring down the rebels, which would prevent the Shapers from falling from power. The rebel humans feel mistreated and neglected by the Shapers, and simply want assistance with the rouge creations. The rouge creations say that they have a right to freedom, as they are sentient beings, You being an apprentice may still be open-minded enough to change your beliefs, And may be able to help them carry out their plans. Try it both ways, as both perspectives are interesting. [ Wednesday, June 08, 2005 16:42: Message edited by: Azul ] Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I always had enough gold because I only bought what I knew I needed. I've taken to only using Fire and Magic Shaping, so that saves on some unnecessary spending. I also only buy the spells I like to use, which is about half of them. I love canisters and the Drakon's blessings, so a purist ending is out of the question for me. I felt really rich until I got to the Isle of Spears and the Monastery. Yeah, you're rich in the beginning, but in the beginning everything is relatively inexpensive. Taewell - Call me Dolphin, Azul is just the current name. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I meant the first Myst. I do have Riven (2) and Revelation (4), but that only one I really liked was the first one. When I got older I was able too solve the rocket puzzle by ear, but when I was younger I had to go to the library, draw the picture, and count the keys/panel notches. Though it can be done visually, it's a hassle and takes a long time. In Myst 4 there is a puzzle where you have to listen to the mangree's(sp) calls and imitate them using three wheels, each producing a different tone. The object is to call each of the animals by name, and navigate them to four different tree nests, so as to put them in the proper locations to cause the comadile(sp) that is chasing you/them to fall in a pit. Once the comadile(sp) is in the pit you need to instruct the mangree(sp) to throw something at it, and knock it unconscious, thus allowing you to make your escape. The puzzle is timed, and very sensitive. The animals only react to the exact turning of the wheels, and for the puzzle's final step you have only a split second to make your flawless move before having to start over. I had all the mangrees(sp) in their proper nests, and the game saved so I could try the last step a million times if need be. It never worked right. Worst puzzle ever; it didn't take intellect, but rather fast reaction time and an incredible ear; all the later Mysts are like that. Sorry for such a long rant, I had forgotten about that puzzle. Tough I am able to put parental blocks (censoring) on my computer, I don't want to. I would prefer not to see things like that, but I would be curious of what I am not seeing, and I don't like to be censored. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |
