Here, one of my earlier posts :P

Alwan is at the same educational level as the PC, and he sucks. Greta doesn't suck, and she got kicked out of school before completing her training.

Edit: what happened to the post I quoted? I was here a minute ago, no really it was

The Mind tells you to go through the test (the entrance is in the northwest corner of the building). After you have completed the test go back to the mind and tell it you did so. The Mind will then open the doors to the south, allowing you to read the tomes inside.

Edit: Khoth got it first

In this case it was to help a dying man. He has to suffer longer if you make him wait until you eventually get to the next island, it was a necessary evil :P

On my second Mac, the Quadra 700 - Number Maze. It had it's moments, and was one of the better math games, but still.

Insulting people here is a little different than doing so in person. For one thing people don't usually walk up to you and say “hy how r u do u no iz mornin hear”.

I get corrected, but never insulted; it must be because I'm a girl.

This is the only way my siblings and I have been able to resolve problems. It's a pretty good system, and we always knew who won :P

Edit: it did suck at time; I'm the youngest/smallest.

Ben - Here is a course description, but I might wait until fall as both classes will make it almost full time summer school (8 units).

quote:
This course surveys the history of astronomy, the observed properties of stars, stellar evolution, galactic and extragalactic astronomy, relativity and cosmology. The aim is to develop an appreciation of the physical universe and the scientific methods we use to understand it.

On my first computer, the Apple 2E there was a game called Lemmings. Have any of you seen that game?

All the lemmings would fallow each other in a line, and you had to move things, fill holes, and many other things to keep the little guys from getting themselves killed. More and more of them would be added on to the chain, and the obstacles would become more difficult.

Being that there were very few games back than I kind of liked it, but looking back on those lemmings they were really annoying.

I have found that I have more respect for being able to talk my way out of a fight, or argue without useless insults. For that matter how relevant is public image that one needs behave like the person doing the insulting?

Also, there is something to be said about the capacity to let something go.

I see insulting others (especially if it's vulgar) to be a sign of immaturity as much as it is a lack of intelligence. I can think of a few people who resort to insulting others when frustrated, and they are very intelligent and somewhat childish.

I think the kind of people who insult those they know nothing about, or do so just for the sake of doing it are unintelligent people. On the other hand, there are very stupid people who are very kind.

Archaeology-oriented is a pretty good way to describe it. The earlier classes are primarily focused on human evolution, and differentiating humans from other primates. They will discuss the development on early civilizations with an emphasis on tool making, of hunter-gatherer skills, and development of agriculture.

I'm only going to take the first couple courses, as the others don't sound appealing to me.

For me school begins on the 20th of this month, and I am eager to start :)

I'll be taking Psychology (and maybe Astronomy) in the summer and Anatomy and Anthropology in the fall.

I'm a very quiet person, and when I'm with groups I only speak when I have something relevant to say, and for that I'm typically thought of as intelligent. I am good with logic, so I often have insight into things that doesn't occur to those around me.

I had a friend a few years back that was very jealous of things about me that I just didn't see/care about. She always said, “you're so beautiful; I wish I has a figure like yours”, and “I wish I could be as intelligent as you are”. Someone praising you every time you are near them can feel odd after a while.
