Ambidextrity would be either ridiculously overpowering or almost pointless if it were put in BoA (depending on if the damage cap was changed). Alorael did a good job explaining why. Are you seriously not gonna buy the game if it doesn't have ambidextrity in it? Although I admit it would be cool wielding two weapons with different abilities (flaming and icy longswords would be neat), it's not a big deal and would hurt the game more than it would help it.

Oh, and there haven't been very many requests for it.

Direct damage spells are important to any RPG, but too many of them can make the spell lineup kind of dull. I think Avernum has just the right number of regular damaging spells.

Yep, war blessing is too good. It's a mini divine warrior for a ridiculously low price. Do you know if Jeff has any plans to split battle rage and shielding back up again? I would like to see war blessing split, replacing terror and forcecage.

Speaking of which, I'm surprised that most people think forcecage is worse than terror.

Now I know Jeff has said before that he doesn't like to put music in his games. However, in A3 Erika's Tower had music, and Geneforge had lots of background sounds. Is there any chance we'll be able to have music in BoA?

Paint? Are you crazy? You have to switch the Red/Green/Blue values for every single little pixel...

Are there any freeware graphics programs that can do color shifts?

Also, you'll need to redo the death animations because in Nethergate it just shows a single frame of them dying. And IMO, goblins look really lame in Nethergate and A1.

Dual wield really shouldn't be in there, cause stuff does a lot more damage in all three of the Avernum games, especially A3.

It might be a good idea to add the option of sorting by date added. That way, people can easily see which items are the new ones. Or you could just add a "new" flag that you can add to the search.

Oh yeah, and the link to my glaahk picture is broken. You misspelled the file name and the label as "glaakh."

Wow...these scripts sound really powerful. Would something like this be possible?

Does damage to user equal to half the damage done to enemy monster, and does one quarter damage to all other monsters and characters (including yours).

I'm not good enough at writing a coherent story to actually make a scenario, I'm just wondering what the possibilities will be.

IMO, one of the few advantages Exile has over Avernum is the dialogue pics. Will they be brought back, at least as an optional feature? They make the game feel much more alive, and probably wouldn't be hard to implement. Please bring them back, at least as an optional thing!

Illusionist, the problem is that although those weapons might be balanced in your scenarios, a party that plays yuor scenario will play others as well - and the ultra items will destroy the balance of those scenarios. Perhaps you could have a "VoidSlayer" weapon (with a better name of course) that gets a big bonus against the void monsters? Or will it even be possible to create your own monster types and weapons to be used against those types?

One feature I'm really excited about in Blades of Avernum

The ability to fully customize monsters - not just their stats and abilities, but also their behavior. Jeff said that, for example, you could have a monster that likes to specifically target your spellcasters. This system has so many possibilities. It will be especially nice to actually be able to CHOOSE which spells the enemies use. Like you could have a monster that's specifically designed to bless, haste and heal.

Some ideas Jeff will never look at.... in Blades of Avernum

BoE designers are already able to do this. Jeff said this feature will be in there, and you will also be able to have NPCs join your party like in the Avernum games.

"2) Item graphics being stored in a special file so you can keep those neat items with their neat graphics you sometimes get in various scenarios."
The item graphics are stored in files, you can easily transfer them between scenarios.

"3) A mass damage, non targeting, spell(ie Fireball, Divine thud, ect)"
This would be nice and I miss the style of the fireball compared to stuff like lightning spray. But it might not work with the graphical engine, and at least we have cloud of blades.

"4) The ability to have a monster replace a freshly slain monster and be it in the same spot the now dead monster was in."
That would be cool. Maybe it'll be possible with the scripting engine?

5) Give anyone who buys BoA and actually releases good a BoA scenario a free copy of any Spiderweb game they choose... Yeah friggin right. Oh well. Worth a shot.
Uh...right. :)

6) A nice spot in a mental instatution for when BoA scenario designers lose their minds making scenarios on BoA... Not bloody likely.

The game would be too easy if 100% resistance = immunity. Once you reach a certain threshold, raising resistance won't make a difference.
