Actually, to start to realize the true complexity of Avernum, you'd need about 3 4-hour movies, one for each game. This would only happen in somebody other than Jeff and ourselves had a little money to spend. After all, in comparasin to most other RPGs, nobody's really played Avernum, so it wouldn't be as big of a hit as some more popular titles. But then again, it is a movie, and people like movies. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, the main problem is that the CD that I buy at WalMart can easily be given to someone else. They need to come up with some sort of hacker-proof system to combat that type of thing if it's possible. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

It doesn't say that you were told that one group lies and the other doesn't, but it says that just as a fact of the riddle. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Yeah, I know what you mean. And as soon as you finally do buy that $600 dollar video card, a better video card will come out which is required to play the next big game. So that's why we're here at Spiderweb, where some of the games can be easily played on a computer that's 10 years old. And games that are very fun to play. But really, some of us are still here just because of the message boards, but, uh, that's beside the point. After all, you're right. Graphics don't ever make a great game unless you have good gameplay coupled with it. Unless it's a slide show program or something. Oh, and hi, I'm ben. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Nope, but you were close to being too late. Registration ends at 4:50 today, supposedly board time. I wonder if then we'll start the elections right away. EDIT: Okay, Drakey posted at the same time. Question answered. Well, if I was in combat and in deep trouble and my spell points were going to pot, and I had my auto-spells set to maximum, I might have wanted to blast the badguy with one last fireball instead of continually reboosting my blessing. So really, since the combat in Jeff's games is turn-based and not real time, you have all the time in the world to drink your healing potions and cast your blesses. The same thing really goes for auto-fighting, too. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, post count can mean something. I mean, a high post count is a pretty strong signal for some level of devotion to the boards. Basically, if you want to write a program to register a game, by all means go for it. But just don't discuss it here. Jeff doesn't really care that much. Some people should be honest enough to support the company they're getting a game from and pay for it. After all, a payment means continued production of games. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

1/3 = 0.333... 2/3 = 0.666... 1/3 + 2/3 = 0.999... = 1. That's easy enough, eh? :P Oh, and if 5 days had passed, he knows he will be executed on the seventh day and he knows he will be informed of his execution at noon. Don't know if that helped any, however. :/ -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Maybe his parents all of the sudden decided to stop paying thier Internet bill because they didn't use it anymore.
