I e-mailed Spiderweb, notice the false statements in my e-mail. But I guess Jeff's Response means RW is still with this world. ;) .................................................................................// quote:He hasn't told us anything about his game design plans for a while. But he still cashes his checks, so at least he's still alive. :) - Jeff Vogel Spiderweb Software, Inc. http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com Edit: Jeff put in that smiley not me. I'm inclined to think Mrs. White is cashing the checks, after burying her husband in the back yard. EDIT: Oh, about your deceptive email—I wouldn't worry about it too much. After all, they say that lying through your teeth is the greatest form of flattery. [ Friday, June 24, 2005 13:53: Message edited by: Icshi ] Posts: 907 | Registered: Monday, July 15 2002 07:00 |

Hmmm. So he does exist. I like the part on really enjoying his games. Do you really? That's pretty cool. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Oh his games bring meaning to my life. BTW how does he have checks to cash if people don't register. Maybe we have some people hiding RW game purchases from us. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

But how can they be ordered if the non-spiderweb games were removed from the order form? -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

I wouldn't really know, being a mere Imponderable Archon, but I suspect that the secret order of White is quietly registering Richard White Games, in order to support their leader. Kind of the same way that L. Ron Hubbard stays on bookstore shelves. -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty. Posts: 3335 | Registered: Thursday, September 4 2003 07:00 |

quote:Good grief! I never noticed that. Sure enough, the link at the bottom of the Galactic Core page leads you to the order form but it isn't on the order form! Lucky for me I bought it when I did. But yeah, I'm guessing you can still make an arrangement for payment with Jeff via email. Posts: 907 | Registered: Monday, July 15 2002 07:00 |

If L. Ron Hubbard can keep selling books and presumably cashing checks while he's dead, I'm sure R. White can do the same. —Alorael, who now has to worry about being a cult dedicated creating zombies and other horrible undead abominations. Great. Okay, maybe I don't mind being an Imponderable Archon so much. There are some things I'm better off not knowing. -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty. Posts: 3335 | Registered: Thursday, September 4 2003 07:00 |

What? You mean I forgot to put necromancy in our catechism? Dang it. I knew I let something slip. I'll be sure to include that in our revised systematic theology leaflet. And by the way, Hubbard isn't dead. His soul is currently orbiting Saturn... Or is it Neptune? Maybe he flits about, I don't know. At any rate, he's still beaming messages back to his publishers here on Earth. How else could he have finished writing his ten-book Mission Earth epic? Huh? And who's to say White isn't circling Mars and keeps in touch with his business contacts? But I'm confident sometime soon he'll be promoted—by whatever strange cosmic forces oversee the immortal postlivelihood of sixth-rate science fiction writers—and will be allowed to zoom around in the asteroid belt. Especially if we keep those candles lit and prayer wheels spinning. [ Saturday, June 25, 2005 20:37: Message edited by: Icshi ] Posts: 907 | Registered: Monday, July 15 2002 07:00 |

What???? So Richard White didn't go up to the great Galactic Core in the sky? He must be hard at work on "Galactic Core II: Revenge of the Mildly Annoying". Hey, don't mock the soul-status of our Divine Overlord! He's orbiting Mars, man! How many of us can seriously expect to be granted such a groovy afterlife? ...Especially if we question our most dearly held beliefs and bring down the wrath of the Almost Almighty White! :D Posts: 907 | Registered: Monday, July 15 2002 07:00 |

Does this mean RW is cooler than Gene Roddenberry? I'm not saying that's a great accomplishment, but it's still a victory over the hordes of Star Trek fanboys. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: Never Proved to Be a Contributory Factor to Stomach Cancer Posts: 961 | Registered: Thursday, June 12 2003 07:00 |

And then there's that LSD guy who got his ashes shot into space. I think just about anybody is more deserving of similar treatment, especially if there are no ashes involved... Hey, wait a minute—I just confused even myself there... Posts: 907 | Registered: Monday, July 15 2002 07:00 |

*Shoots thread members* What is it with you and RW anyway? And anyone who DARES come near my arcane DVD collection will get a broken Neverwinter Nights disk shoved up his backside.
