That's an idea. But just how invincible is invincible with 5 points of luck? I think I'd rather use the  25 skill point a PC! on seemingly more important skills such as strengh and weapon skills. (I use an all-fighter party) But I guess you guys are right, I should use a lower-healthed party. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

You'd think that if you're going to use the party in a scenario where you encounter poison, disease, etc. early in the game, you'd want to start your party with a spare batch of HP. Either that or just not letting the monsters hit you. :) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

If I remember right, he asked for beta testers on the Lyceum awhile ago. It shouldn't be too long, but he did say it was going to be HUGE. Maybe that's why it's taking so long. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I've seen guides and FAQs and the like, and each seem to disagree on how much HP to give a starter party and how much of the other stats. Mostly, I'm concered about health. Is it better to give an average party member as low as 6-10 HP, or would it benefit them more to start with 30-40 HP. Or in between. What are your opinions? -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Or you could create one very powerful NPC that helps you in only one or two important battles. (I guess Erika in E3 would be a good example, as she gives you the amulet.) That would be a good idea. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Hey, this article will be really helpful! However, if I remember right, NPCs DID show up in outdoor encounters in Spears, so there's got to be a way to do. In the article, it says that it's nearly impossible to do. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Spears and The Adventurers Club are two scenarios that have NPCs. If you haven't played them, you should, and then you'll see what I mean. (These aren't the only ones, either.) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Hi again! In some scenarios, you can find NPCs to join your party. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good guide to create NPCs, if there's a simple and/or set way to do, or if NPCs are just a jumble of advanced noding that only some scenario designers know how to do and are keeping secret. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Thanks for the advice, but it was not really what I was looking for. I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas for a new (custom) race of monster similar to goblins, and especially if they know of a good, as TGM would put it, *graphic* for that monster, as the ones I try to draw are crude. :P I came up with the idea myself, though, of something called "bladebeasts" and then have different type, such as "bladebeast warroir," and more powerful "bladers." Good graphics for something like this would be very helpful also. ;) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

It seems to me that any scenario designer for a starter party contain goblins, either in a experience dungeon, wandering monsters, etc. I was wondering if anyone has an idea for a good substitute for goblins---something as a new easy way to gain experience for a beginner party. Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone has or knows of some new graphics I could use for something of that sort. Also, I'm going to be going to Oregon for a couple weeks, or so, but I'll be back after that. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |
