Of course not. :P I wonder, though, if given enough time, if Jeff will put up his older games (e.g. Exile 1) up for free download. I know, it's not too likely to happen, but maybe. :) If people stop buying a certain game because they'd rather have the newer ones, Jeff mays well give it to us. -------------------- -ben4808 My signiture is el very good. post count = 0 + current Visit the CSM Forums! Well, people can buy BoA and then get A3 free. Sort of a Spiderweb "buy one, get one free" sale. Without Jeff's permission. Speaking of Jeff, he would probably trash a scenario like that anyway instead of putting on the scenario list. You could put it on somebody's website, though, and then you'd have bragging rights. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Back to the topic, Treota, I have a great idea for you! Rev up the BoA scenario editor and create a scenario exactly like (or as close as you can) to Avernum 3. Then you can distribute it and let everybody download a free copy of A3. :) :) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

When I'm creating a scenario, I just start with a beginning idea, and then randomly make towns and missions as they pop into my head until...well, I've never finished a scenario. :) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Personally, I wouldn't mind if I had to drink filtered urine if it would lighten my pack so much. At least as long as they tested it on other people first. :) That's a cool idea. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

It's two days until my first month is over, and I've managed almost 50. I'm pretty exicted to be a journeyman instead of an apprentice. But...in 4 months at this rate, I should have 200 posts, fully one fifth of what Kel did. I believe that title is "Citizen of Exile." So, at my rate, it will take me about 1 year and 8 months to get 1K posts. Hopefully it doesn't take me that long (or, hopefully, I even make it to 1000, depends on how you look at it.) ;) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

That thing to the left of your name where people can give you a rating from 1 to 5. I recently got two votes, one star. :P Anyway, what do you think about karma? Of course, if you were to place high in two scenario contests, you could legally give someone a free copy of a Spiderweb game. :) Back on the subject, I think Jeff should hire more people and get racking out the games quicker. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

quote:Actually, this is kind of dumb because you can't discover a new element, you have to make it with high-tech and costly particle accelerators designed to smash two natural heavy elements together so hard that the protons fuse and make a "new" 100-plus atomic number element that last for a few milliseconds. Before decaying into what they were before. And the scientist say they "discovered" a new element---what use is there for it? Why bother give it an official name and just call it the unnoficial names such as "ununoctium" (that's what they call the element with the atomic number 118.) I'm sure this was a very interesting lesson in opinion, class. ![]() -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

After I mentioned it to him, my 8-year old brother insisted that he wanted to suggest this on the message board. So here he goes: "Why don't they had a :all fighter senareo." In other words, he was wondering if we should have a scenario contest where all the scenario contained no magic. What do you think? -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

How far then, may I ask, did you actually make it in school? Or did you just homeschool all your years? Because frankly, I prefer public school. There's more people to meet, more things to do, more professional teaching, and more opportunity for scholarships and special rewards. I like it that way better. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, TM, you seem to have a review of just about everything at CSR. Your poor Mac must have had a workout playing all of those---and creating your own. ;) And the title "Ultimate Ranking Champion." Cool. I'm still an apprentice. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

My sig is one of the only ones (TGM has the same idea) that give an actual signature. Since this is what I put at the end of all my E-mails, I figured I mays well take advantage of my sig and not have to type it every post. And I never change my sig. Only thing different is it's digtal style instead of cursive. :) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I just got out of middle school, and it wasn't TOO bad for me, considering I live in a small town. You've got a good point there. I doubt if anybody has played all the BoE scenarios completely through---I haven't. So....I guess we can start looking forward to new BoA scenarios instead, though I can't get it to work, yet. But there still has to be somebody working on a new BoE scenario. EDIT: Eh, that was not necessarily meant as a question. Now that AC3, part 2 is out, is anybody in the process of making a now BoE scenario, or is everybody either testing or working on BoA? (Or not doing anything.) I'm sure BoA will severely limit the number of new BoE scenarios released. :( -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Shyguy, how much of the 1.5 MB is the actual scenario file? (Just wondering, as if you can split it up, it would be the scenario itself separated from the other files right?) It could very well be the largest scenario made for BoE. (Definately, if you include the first one.) But, I can wait until the scenario gets up for download on Spiderweb. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

So, [BtW, remember the original topic was AC3, but oh well] you get 171 towns in a scenario. Answered my own question. *ahem*, change that, Kel answered my question. :P I'll go further, though. Shouldn't we be able to get up to town 265, since BoE is a 16-bit application? -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Wait a sec. 125 towns?! How many can you put on the scenario, because I've heard there's problems with more than 100. But Jeff says in the editor you should be able to get 200. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |
