I fail to see how an assassination attempt would make Bush more famous. Sure Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, but he's famous for what he did not being killed. There was a president in the early 1900s who was killed. He helped the economy along a little, but you don't hear historians saying he was famous. On the point of Bush being reelected, I saw it was merely because there was no significantly better choice. Also, your "Tollegolite" philosophy says that that no one should attack the high ruler. Yet also says that powerful people have the right to kill the high ruler. Lastly I believe the Ancient Shapers should have killed all destroyed everything on Sucia Island. Serviles, creations, books, villages, canisters and Geneforge, the whole lot of them should have been destroyed. Of course that would make a boring game wouldn't it. Stick with me emperor, we'll go far. Seriously though. I believe that anyone should be allowed to shape. However that doesn't mean that everyone should be forced to learn. Also when it comes to experimenting Shaping that should be strictly controlled by the current government. Geneforge III has by far the worst plot of all the Geneforge series. Geneforge I is the greatest plot in the Geneforge series. You probably just don't like it because the other games have more gameplay improvements. I personally love the moral questions. Geneforge II had a redeemed plot because of Shanti. Look at it from his point of view. We got one look at Avernum IV and said it was crap. We got to the end of Avernum III and said that he totally misused the Vahnatai. Also think not of yourself, but of others. People like Ed must make him want to take down the forums. It's a miracle the TM hasn't gotten a permanent ban. So to answer your question, yes and no. It was a dark day when the power of the Shapers was finally crushed. The City of the Shapers burned down, along with the last trace of the Shapers. Only the Great Library of Shaping remained, spared by the abominable creations that Drakon greed had made. Indeed it was not even a week later that these same abominable creations attacked the corrupt Drakons and the few corrupt Shapers that stood by them. This short, but bloody war had both sides destroyed. Now in this newly born world three bodies of government dominate. The Divine Shapers, the Republic of Magi, and the Alliance Against Shaping. They slowly start to expand their influence all across the known and unknown world. The Divine Shapers believe themselves gods, and allow all Shaping. The Republic of the Magi allow all magic, except New Shaping, they do however allow Old Shaping. The Alliance Against Shaping find it all disgusting and want it gone, they do allow other magic though. Now it is up to you to finish the tale. Help destroy Shaping once and for all... or help bring it to new heights. Now choose a side and help shape the world.
