By God. I'm terrified. I lived in that town. My parents attended that college. The results of this massacre are going to be huge. The University of Texas tower sniping only killed sixteen people. Yet that prompted the creation of SWAT. I can only hope this results in the repealing of the Second Ammendment in the Constitution. A replacment of course would need to be made. Make it so that civilians can only get small caliber pistols, and by passing a test. Make it so that the Department of Fish and Game makes it so that it is required to have a hunting license to buy a gun. Also, make it harder to get said licenses. Make it so that nothing on this scale happens again. -------------------- All praise the greatest mod of all time! Long live Master Aran! Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Curse me for continuing, and to a lesser extent creating, a survey fad. 1. Why did you join the boards? I joined around the mid time between Geneforge II and Geneforge III (I'm not sure if A4 was before or after) and I posted all my ideas for G3, of which only Alwan and Greta were added. Yes, I posted a thread somewhere that had that kind of basic idea, a shaper apprentice companion. 2. If you did, why did you change your user name? Goldenking got old after a while, so I alternate semiweekly. It is now my thing to always end with -king. 3. Have you even noticed I changed mine (besides now)? Of course I did. I suggest you always keep the muffin in your name. -------------------- All praise the greatest mod of all time! Long live Master Aran! Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Another thing that ticked people off is that the Shapers and Rebels were both evil, and you had to choose between the lesser of the two evils. The Shapers, as arrogant and elitist as ever (they relaxed this policy in G4) and the Rebels, terrorists who released monsters on the local populace. -------------------- Pass the sauerkraut and chips please. You probably don't care, but I think this is a horrible idea. Part of the fun of the game is that your character can't do everything. Plus the name is horrible. -------------------- Pass the sauerkraut and chips please. Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Remember, I said unlimited resources, but limited time. Now, about the disease. I create the stealthy creations, already diseased, in the middle of no where, with me safe behind a barrier of flames. I give the creatures specific instructions on where to go (Other Continent), so that the possibilities of repercussions aren't likely. Just in case, I'd probably make another disease to destroy the original disease, and keep it in storage if needed. -------------------- Pass the sauerkraut and chips please. Your a General for the Rebellion or Shapers. You have unlimited resources and limited time. What new weapons do you create to destroy the enemy? As General Shelber (Servile) of the Rebellion, I would make the following: 1. Diseases that only affect those who can Shape 2. Stealthy creations to deliver said diseases 3. A new Human/Servile Geneforge 4. Canisters 5. Improved weaponry & armour 6. Save havens from the Unbound (Ashen Isles, Sucia Isle, Greyghost Mts.) 7. quote:You realize that Spidweb can't afford to hire Spidwebbers? How many do you expect to actually volunteer large amounts of their time to make G5 the best game in the whole series? Not to mention that the engine that the scenarios use is completly different the Geneforge. So, all these hypothetical helpers would have to be taught from the bottom up. I'd rather have many small changes then one huge change. Avernum 4 is an example of this. -------------------- Pass the sauerkraut and chips please. Sorry for the late response. I was under the assumption that during the Siege of the Forsaken Lands, the Shapers sent many creations out into the former farmlands, without Shaper control. EDIT: Also, you think that the Drakons wouldn't eliminate rogues unless they would benifit. quote:I thought that might be what you were talking about, but you have to realize that those rogue Shapers made Rogues. Of course, you probably want Loyalist Shapers making Rogues. To that, I point to the reason that they had no need to. Now, on to your point about the Monarch. Did the Rebels not fight the Monarch as well? Did the Rebels not fight what's her name (the crazed lifecrafter) in the Forsaken Lands? If some powerful Drakon, Drayk, or other Rebel started terrorising everyone and become a new Monarch, do you thing the Drakons would not take action? -------------------- Pass the sauerkraut and chips please. Ed was horrible, and is probably the most hated person that ever went onto Spidweb. He would infuriate everyone, then make an apology thread showing him as the victim. He made nine of these apology threads, before he was banned. He would blatantly flame, then make himself seem like an inexperienced newbie. After his permanent banning he tried to come back, and has launched two attacks (memories a little hazy on that), not to mention e-mails that were... crazy. -------------------- All praise the greatest mod of all time!
