1. Ed is a troll, who was banned, came back, banned, etc.

2. Same as Ed, except he didn't come back.

3. He flamed, swore, etc. Some of his jokes and what not were good, most weren't. He made people leave (I think, atleast one person was about to) becauses of his flaming. He also made good scenarios.

4. Your implants will have been fixed tommorow to tell you yesteryear.

5. Not even Jeff can tell you.

6. Are you trying to kill us?

7. "Wierd" (pronounced silly) What do you expect from a forum who's greeting is "Leave your sanity at the door"? Besides, in debates and other such things, people are normal. They just act silly for recreation.

I'm currently on my second re-reading of The Codebook by Simon Singh.

When I first read it, about two years past, it totally revolutionized my view on ciphers. Now, it is merely reminding me of a few of the finer point of cryptograhy.

1. Ephesos is familiar with the subject enough to be able to alter, slow, or stop Lazarus's ressurection after a blow of Divine Retribution. Altering it would force Lazarus to come back as an Undead, with the rest being history. Slowing it would give Ephesos time to destroy the corpse, and stopping it would be rather obvious.

Ephesos moves on to the next round.

2. They get into a massive flame war, to the point where demons start coming up. Demonslayer beats them, but not before Alec takes a picture of them. He then continue summoning demons through the Abominable Photo thread- Demon Version. Eventually Infernal gets swarmed, and Alec moves on to the next level.

3. Nico calls over Nikki to try to double team Diki. However, Diki writes a quick script where Nikki and Nico turn on each other. They then fight, and either Nikki kills Nico for Diki, or Nico is too exhausted to continue fighting and is easily killed. Diki wins.

4. Ehem. No opinion here.

5. Delicous Vlish versus Valeta Blue (Synergy). The power of canisters, plus the overkill that results, wounds Valeta's foe quickly. The clawbugs come in, and Valeta dominates/charms them. Delicous Vlish, returns the favour, and they battle for control over them for a time. Eventually Valeta get's ticked enough to send another blast of deadly energy at them. D. Vlish's mindspells are broken, and he flees in terror as the clawbugs swarm him. Synergy wins.

6. Magma charges Tyranicus, who retreats while throwing javelins. Eventually Tyranicus runs out of javelins, woads himself, and meets Magma in battle. Fortunately, Magma is armored, making him merely ticked. What's more, Celts can't wear good armour, and woad makes them even more easy to hit. Magma dual wields the Guardian Claymore and Flaming Sword, killing his foe quickly. Magma wins.

7. Alex starts creating stickfigures en masse, until one of them bump into Riibu. Riibu then gets swarmed, killing many a stick figure. Unfortunately for Riibu, Alex is an archmage, and deals several powerful blows onto Riibu. Riibu falls dead, the invisibility vanishing, and Alex wins.

8. I have no idea.

Gah! It is turning into a popularity contest!

Also, I can avoid most attacks. Also, my muffins (and the summoned haakais(really powerful demons)) will destract him (hopefully). I go and attack.

But people turned this to popularity contest. So they think of me as weak (which Infernal Flamming Muffin isn't) and say "Muffin tasty" or something like that.

I have no comments on the others.

Frankly, your a pastry. A burnt pastry. Your allies are also pastries. What's more, pastries burn easier then human flesh.

Also, this isn't a popularity contest. To prove my point, I point to Nalyd in round one.

1. The Periodic Table of Spiderweb is a powerful weapon. However, WKS was once Wonko the Sane. Sanity > Periodic Table of Spiderweb.

2. Ash Lael gets everyone to support him and swarms Smoo.

3. He god-mods, and on here, so do I. They cancel eachother out. Fire and ice also cancels eachother out. He summons a demon, I use the power of Jeff Vogel (Great Spider in the Sky?) priestly-ness to beat it. This leaves me with a gun.

4. Nico calls over Nikki and double teams the way to victory.

5. I don't really think this is a question. The Muffin falls quickly.

6. Nukes... kind of hard to beat.

7. Three dimensions could, at a stretch, be considered a trinity. SoT wins.

8. Riibu wins by sneaking up behind the foe. Lurking in the shadows < Invisibility.

Except for the part about "NOT ANYMORE"...

It's not the best definition, but still, it's roughly correct.

If you die and get ressurected, it's basically a perfected form of necromancy. Even there, people don't get automatically ressurected, not even Lazarus in the Bible. So, Nalyd still has the advantage.

-Get worked: Lazarus

Lazarus, let me break it down for you and everyone else.

undead- once living, not anymore

This fits ressurection perfectly, still giving Nalyd the upper hand. The only way I could see you winning is if you could get in a good blow or two before Nalyd could react. That's possible, I guess.

1. Conservatives wouldn't dare turn on Israel. Infernal wins.

2. Priestly abilities can't do nothing (intentional) against Geneforge creations. However, modly powers and mental spells can. Delicious Vlish wins.

3. Assassination doesn't work in the open fields. Lord Grimm is insanely powerful. Lord Grimm wins.

4. Dual clubs is exhausting. Chickens swarming isn't. Thralni wins, but some ruffled feathers have been ruffled.

5. Nalyd can send some zombies to take Lazarus down, until he dies. Then, Nalyd takes over the resurrected Lazarus, and wins by brain control. Good luck Nalyd.

6. Anything ADOS draws up, Randomizer can burn. Randomizer wins, though I'd prefer it if ADOS won. Meh.

7. Meh. Nikki wins.

8. Fluffy turtles like a little more variety then just sanity. The turtles have soup in their stomachs and Saunders advances to the next round.

The Chosen Ending - Geneforge 5 in Geneforge 4: Rebellion
Agent
Member # 4574
Profile #80
The Shapers recieve the Unbound specifications, but they're incomplete, and as a result they can't put up an adequate defence when the Unbound attack the Western Morass in their full glory. The Shapers continue to fight, having a rough ability to defeat the Unboung, and the war goes from Eastern, to Central, to Western Terrestia.

Rebels: They're powerful, but not invincible. The Shapers are able to destroy the Unbound, and gained territory is usually lost between the time the Unbound are destroyed and the next Unbound arrive.

Shapers: They have the power to defeat the Unbound, but not indefinetly. They also have called out the army from the other continent, and are at a stalemate with the Rebels. The Unbound surge forward, taking land, the Shapers destroy them eventually, and retake the land, and then the process repeats with the same borders.

Trakovites: Gaining power immensly, having recruited other magic guilds, natives (pre/post Shaper annexation), and the even small amounts of visiting Sholai. Control the islands in the inland sea, the underground (mostly), and parts of the border lands.

Endgame: The Rebels are developing a new kind of Spawner, which will make Unbound continuosly. Loyalists want them all dead, and the Unbound specifications (which are needed for the Spawners) retrieved. The Rebels want you to gather ingredients and protect the Spawners as they're being made. The Trakovites want you to create the Spawners, and deliver the specifications to the Shapers.

Rebels: Shapers are overwhelmed, eventual collapse of the Shaper Empire, and the Trakovites (everyone of them)
Shapers: Terrestia seized back, rebels fall in last stand on the Ashen Isles, both Drakons and Drayks extinct, many Trakovites dead, but some spared, knowledge on how to make Drakons, Drayks, canisters, Spawners, and the Geneforge destroyed.
Trakovites: War escalates, and eventually a new rebellion within a rebellion starts, destroying both sides from the inside. Knowledge about Shaping destroyed. Drakons rare, but not all dead.

You are say (insert character here) who lives a relatively peaceful life in a remote village near/on (insert area/island here) and who discovers (insert means of shaping here) and finds out he/she is (insert decadency/destiny here)

The game continues through the blasted ruins of the once-proud shaper lands, fighting insane shapers and terrible poisoned rouge creations searching for the remnants of civilisation and restoring order and taming the wilds of the desolated lands.

You have the PC who starts off with nothing except peasant clothes and no money or skills to speak of.

You jouney around a bit like in Homeland; The Stone Of Night on a seemingly random quest to find yourself trapped by a rouge or stuck in a forgotten shaper lab or a collapsing cave or a canister warren etc etc etc etc etc.

What do you think?

I think what you have described sounds a lot like Geneforge 1.

Now, for me, I'd say something with good technology, to the point where you almost have guns (maybe even just glazing over guns), and high magic. However, if there were guns, they're bulky, unreliable, and extremly expensive. So if you get one, it's a guarenteed kill, but it's quite to hit with one, or if the opponent has enough armour (bullets aren't that strong) two or more hits.

Yes, however Jeff hasn't always gone with the exact ending. Not to mention that Dewry told us that Trajkov used the Geneforge. Also, do you think that having used the Geneforge, started building an empire, and having it dashed would not drive someone insane?

This is possible, but how many mad and extremly powerful Shapers do you think there are? Also, how many of those do you think would live to such advanced age? How many of these would have had the resources to start building an empire? Lastly, how many of these were defeated by a Shaper?

I don't recall that, even though I'm not surprised, they don't get much contact. Anyways, after using the Geneforge, fleeing from Sucia, and living on Terresia a while, I'd think he'd look a little more native.

I've recently fought over Monarch again, and a few things caught my eye.

1. Monarch is described as being extremly old
2. Monarch has pale skin
3. Monarch is arrogant (refering to you as "it", his journal)
4. Monarch built an Empire before, failed
5. Monarch was thwarted by a Shaper
6. Monarch has control batons

Assuming Trajkov lives, we can see the following:

1. Trajkov is extremly old
2. Using the Geneforge, among other things, makes you pale
3. Using the Geneforge, among other things, makes you arrogant
4. Trajkov tried to build an Empire after using the Genefoge.
5. He was thwarted by the G1 Shaper
6. Trajkov could have accesed control batons on Sucia

What's more, Dewry explains that Trajkov indeed used the Geneforge, although he didn't get the reasons right. Dewry then goes on to say that the Shapers defeated him. Lastly, he says that the stories aren't 100% factual.

This has lead me to the conclusion that Trajkov escaped Sucia Isle after the purging of the Shapers. He gathered and honed his power, and the rebels then attacked. He went to Grosch, and the rest is history.

Thoughts?
