Anything Friday the 13th-esque happen to you today? Nalyd's computer froze up. . . twice. Also, he sprained his ankle playing soccer.

Not really. Just an ordinary day. Yesterday was hell. Oddly enough.

And the downside of this is...

Just kidding, my condolences about your ankle. Having done that at about 60 km down an icy hill, I know what it feels like. Here.

Both are recommended treatments, I assure you.

Yes, I feel and scraped me knee in gym class, and during lunch a kid tackled me for no reason. I assure you I was not playing American Football, but I was playing British Football. However, on the upside, I am going to buy Geneforge IV: Rebellion.

More injuries than Nalyd. So, a bigger bandage. One size fits all.

It's so big it can be used as a sling.

But seriously, that thing's too big.

Lets see...
In fourth grade I got bit by a dog on my left leg and got hit on the forehead by a flying stick.

Now I am in 7th grade, still not trusting dogs very much.

I have sustaned other injuries during my life, but never have I broken a bone...

And in case you are wondering, I live in America.

Holy crap, it was Friday the 13th?

No wonder...

We wrote a practice essay yesterday, which I had absolutely not revised for. I chose to write about RAID systems, ended up taking far too much time on detailing the RAID levels 0 and 1 that I barely got to the perks of level 2, let alone a summary or conclusion. I'm just lucky this wasn't the actual examination.

Then, we revised Numerics, aka Calculator Mongering. Why the hell are there more than 5 different methods of iterative approximation that have like 1-2 differences in the variables and of course are named after different mathematicians? It's like these guys were in a patent war or something.

At least I didn't have any actual mishaps. Only a really crappy and tiring day.

Half the class didn't know about the calculus assignment due yesterday. It was assignment eleven (the syllabus said there would be eight to ten assignments), and U policy says that there shouldn't be any assignments due the last week of lectures.

It's 'optional' now. Which doesn't mean much with curved grades.

Still didn't do it. Yeah, that's me, sticking it to THE MAN.

My computer freezes up every 20 or so minutes and then unfreezes after about 10 minutes. It's good at encouraging me to go get stuff done.

I had to wait until today to determine whether yesterday was a good day or a bad day, since I finally got around to fixing my bike's flat tire. It took seven patches. If the tire held air overnight, then it was a good day. If not, then it was a bad day.

Fortunately, this morning revealed that yesterday was a good day for Dikiyoba.

Yesterday, I downloaded every BoA scenario I could find, so that made it a good day.

It goes back to having a way to get a useable numerical answer in the days before computers or at least powerful ones. When you have to use a slide ruler with at most 3 significant digits or only a few kbytes of memory, you want an easy way to do it.

And on that phallic note, in before the edit and/or IMAGE(http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubb/lock.gif).

Nothing Friday the 13th-ish happened to me.

I tried to think of something witty to put here.

You know, having the only noteworthy accomplishment of my day being the the measurement of an engorged body part.

Yay me!
