Canned goods and shotguns for everyone. Option A, however, could work if instead we use The Furbinator: We're still working on acquiring appropriate shades for it. [ Thursday, October 06, 2005 05:01: Message edited by: Drew ] Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

Stupid is as stupid does. Given the apparently successful track of a certain U.S. politician's career, I fail to see the value of said intelligence. That is to say, intelligence doesn't matter if it can't be applied. [ Thursday, October 06, 2005 05:57: Message edited by: Drew ] Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

It's all about results, people! And that's why congress is the way to go. Children aren't expedient enough, and the needle/ferrets likely would perforate the furbies anyway. Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

You can use superglue for blisters - it dries too fast for anything toxic to effect you, and it works well to protect the raw flesh underneath. Eventually it wears away. As a rower, I swear by it for my hands. [ Wednesday, October 05, 2005 05:13: Message edited by: Drew ] Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

I rather have an urge to impose some common sense. Values aren't necessary. In the last two hours, the most interesting thing that's occurred around me is: On my walk from the bus stop to work, I walk along Pennsylvania Avenue past the White House. This morning, the police were diverting all pedestrians a block out of our way around what is otherwise an open street, making me late for work. No indication what was going on. This is why I voted for the other guy. Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

Toy money? I don't think the USD is pretty enough to be toy money. Re the antibiotic issue: wouldn't it just be a matter of time before bacteria became uber-fied anyway? Judicious and sparing use may slow down the immunity mutations, but the strains eventually would evolve. The trick is to find the sweet spot where we can beat most of the bacteria with relatively weak antibiotics, and isolate the really bad stuff. University health centers distributing antibiotics for the common cold though definitely aren't helping things. What are tonsils? Are they just really inconveniently placed lymph nodes, or what? I know those swell when I have an infection (I can feel them on the back of my neck then). Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

You can try using the editor to pull your party from the "town." It will reset the town, but at least your party will be salvaged. Alternately, you could also pull your party from the scenario altoghether. A bit of a bummer, but in the very least you'd save the experience and items you've earned, which would make running through the scenario again much easier. Maybe some of that West Coast liberalism will rub off on him. More than likely, however, he'll just seize on the chance to be homeschooled until his inevitable enrollment in the Bob Jones University. Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

That actually sounds like a pretty reasonable deal. If the car had, say, 80,000 miles on it, according to Kelley's Blue Book it would be worth US$1725 in "good" condition. I say take the money and run. Insurance companies have an interest in undervaluing the claim, and this assessment is pretty close to what you paid. Given that you're relying on your insurance as opposed to the other party's, it's about what you can expect - rarely will anyone get the full value of their car when it's totalled in this circumstance. Interestingly, there was an article in the NYT yesterday that suggested the possibility of a link between sleep apnia and some of the symptoms of what would otherwise be diagnosed as clinical depression. It just goes to show: sleep is very importance to happiness. Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

That's funny - I smell coffee. Of course, I am in the office. I don't think we should be dissuaded by the "vice-white" pronunciation connection. Besides, if following RW is bad, then I don't want to be good. Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |
