What would you do with a billion dollars? in General

I would take a relatively small amount of the money for myself - about 10 million dollars. I would then donate 50% of the remainder to TM's time machine fund, 50% of the remainder to charity, 50% to Jeff on the condition that he fixes all the bugs in BoE and BoA, even the undiscovered ones, and 50% to Icshi in the hopes that he can used his Richard White-given reality-bending powers to make the whole equation work out to 100%.

My thinking was "If the original sucked this bad, the sequel has to be better."

I was wrong. Simply no action in either game. Both exemplify why you should NEVER put more value in graphics than gameplay. They simply have nothing gameplay-wise. If there were more games like them, I would give up gaming altogether.

I would equate the gameplay in Riven to going through a maze that has beautiful scenery. I would equate the experience of playing it to stabbing myself in the eyes with a rusty, serrated kitchen knife. Now that I think about it, Riven and Myst are the games I hate the most. Actually, hate isn't a strong enough word. It's more like absolute loathing with every fiber of my being.

DIE.

Generally considered to be the _worst game ever made_, the first game ever to recieve a straight 1.0 rating on Gamespot, and made by a company with a name almost as stupid as "Chromite Software", "Stellar Stone".

It's Big Rigs - Over The Road Racing!

You would be referring to Don't Panic, I believe?

While my own stalkerish obsessions are focused on people not on this forum, I'm astounded at the fact that someone who calls themselves a stalker would have to stoop so low as to have to *ask* Aran what his real name is, where he lives, what program was used to make his family's website (Microsoft FrontPage 4.0) or how much money he has donated to Wikipedia (20 Euro, 1.05 Euro shipping charge for a net result of 18.95 Euro).

Are you seriously suggesting this deserves a higher score than 3.5, which is the score you gave NM?

I've never actually played "minimalism.", for the record.

Thread necromancy is acceptable when the topic isn't that old or the necromancer has something interesting to say or ask.

Unfortunately, neither of those appear to be the case.

I'll put my name down for testing, although be warned that I've done this before and then completely forgotten all about it.

Windows XP
Dallerdin or whatever moniker I'm using at the time.
I don't have a Mac. I do have a Mac emulator, but I hardly ever use it and don't know how to convert them anyway.

You're thinking of "Day of the Triffids".`

My own favorites in fantasy would have to be Tolkien, Donaldson, Eddings when he was actually good, Brooks when he was plaigarisig Tolkien rather than Brooks, Salvatore's later stuff and Lovecraft, who defies categorisation.

In science fiction, Sean Williams and Shane Dix, Isaac Asimov, Sean McMullen and Frank Herbert are favorites.

Also, it's strange that nobody has yet mentioned, Piers Anthony (and as such avoided invoking the Godwin's Law of favorite book topics).

That's not actually a very good definition of abandonware.

Anyway, as the actual definition of abandonware is more of a moral issue than a legal issue, it can be someone nebulous and I'll leave it to someone with a better knowledge of the concepts involved to explain it.

Type in a search and watch it randomly add a word to the end - for example, "ROFLCOPTOR" becomes "ROFLCOPTER ireland". SO, type in a blank search bar and generate an answer. Then, let it add a random word to that answer.

And again.

And again.
