Level 5. No wonder everyone likes to exclude me, they want to make me gloomy to send me to hell! I had a dream about it - there's a door that sinners can't and won't find... -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. Never understood why so many people focus on these. Though I hear human nature doesn't change (and I believe it). Keep in mind that I'm one of those who others keep away from... -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. Actually, the S-F thing could work if they were dropped onto a low-tech world with only a bit of ammo and power left. Then they find out there's a way to get off-planet, but it's kind of a quest... -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. I prefer the Romans, not only for their professionalism, armor and weapons but for the missions. I kinda identify with them anyway - the whole 'civilize' the world thing and all that. Plus I hear they took native wives, but nah, that can't be a factor, of course not... -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. My first wish? Money. Pay off my debts and be able to fund whatever I want. Hire some investors and buy the world out from everyone. My second: Women. Once you figure out why, you'll know. (Someone who's not my parents to whom I can talk as part of it.) Third comes an army - what's the point of having the world and someone to give it to if you can't hold it long enough to kick a few billion people off it? -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. I got Avernum and Nethergate by credit card and nothing happened, I think... Your parents shouldn't worry, and if anything goes wrong the know who to blame... (Just poking fun.) If committing rebellion is the price of having an imagination, I'll pay. Especially if it's against someone so anal and petty and possessive to not want me to think or question. Which is in response to that article about D&D posted by Alex. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I think D&D is good in concept, but 3rd Edition killed it for me. Which reminds me: another good pen and paper is Traveller. Has anyone here (aside from me) heard of that? -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. I'd say "order one of the Avernums" but, since it's your game, get what you want. Exile first, then Avernum. (Don't forget Nethergate! It's a good game! You can get it for $5 US with one of the others!) I'd say use the online form you get from Spidweb.com, 'cause that's the most secure. EDIT: It may be $15 US. If so, excuse my misremembering. Like Stug said, either way it's worth every penny. [ Tuesday, March 30, 2004 07:33: Message edited by: Jame ] -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. I know just hou Stughalf feels - I feel much the same way. Only difference is that there seems to be someone out to keep me down, and therefore I have no intention of committing suicide - who or what-ever wants me down has to kill me itself. I'm not saying that "suicide is for cowards" or anything like it, just that I'd rather not do it. If someone else does it, let me know why so that I can understand. (e.g. Political suicide.) Oh, by the way, those aren't suicide bombers, they're homicide bombers and idiots as well. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. Suicide bombers should be called homicide bombers or, better, murder bombers (that being more visceral). They may come about through a loss of hope, but are too stupid to use a more effective protest. As an opposite version of the suicider, the paranoid: Nobody loves me, Everyone hates me, and I'm going to do as I've always done in order to make them kill me. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself.
