The kind of girls I like are the intelligent, attractive, sucessful girls. In other words, the ones who actively want me to be shot. Somehow I always end up wanting to be what I can't be, and wanting to be with those who don't want me with them... -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. quote: Edit: I think I've heard the same thing as Syntrael (and I think I misspelled your name, my fault entirely), though I can't remember where. Carl Sagan wrote something similar, but he's not who wrote it. On a side note, I do believe in souls, as something a being (human, cat, alligator) builds up through living. That doesn't necessarily mean we take it with us when we die, though. Don't tell me my cat doesn't have a soul. It may have a less intelligent, less "evolved" one than a human, but it's still there. I prefer edged, pole and ranged weapons. For gear I prefer helms and body armor (which I include gloves and boots as), and torches and lockpicking gear. For low-tech stuff, anyway. Though I'd go for a high-tech fusion rifle and powered combat armor if I could choose! :D :D -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. I didn't watch it - I don't generally like football - but I was secretly rooting for the Patriots. Good thing they won, it makes me not a looser. :P But think about this: the Patriots are Pat Riots. Bad joke, I know, but clever! And yes, it can be both. [ Monday, February 02, 2004 06:37: Message edited by: Jame ] -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. I'm borderline atheist/agnostic. Though if I had religion I'd be Jewish, maybe Protestant. What I know of Humanism philosophy, I sometimes follow. If there is a God, and it wants me, it can figure out where to find me. Otherwise I'll find out when I'm dead. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. If you're looking for non-computer games, try "Traveller" - the classic version (www.farfuture.net is the publisher) is the easiest, but the D20 version (www.travellerrpg.com) is the newest and uses the D20 system. Can't really recommend any computer games, though. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. Martin Luther King, Jr. was definetly a great man. Worthy of an American holiday for his works in the U.S. Though if he gets a world-wide day, he should come back to life and earn it (no, no, no, self, bad Jame). Ghandi is, to me, sort of a mixedly great man. On the one hand, he believed in nonviolence, but on the other he advocated Partition between Hindus and Muslims. This, in my view, probably helped stir the wars between India and Pakistan. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended. I never said that Nethergate was historically accurate, just that it's historical - like a historical fiction novel, it's set in a historical place and goes from there. That said, it is a good game, even with its flaws. And even with the Avernum series being better. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. I'll back the votes for Avernum. Also Nethergate and possibly Geneforge. The non-computer game I'd reccomend is Traveller - www.travellerrpg.com for the D20 version - if you like that kinda thing. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. I like the plot myself, even if the gameplay isn't up to the level of the Avernum series (which I like better than the Geneforge engine, btw). So I personally recommend it, but if you don't like historical games it may not be for you. -------------------- And that was exactly the point of itself. Takes advantage of the easily offended.
