Using an editor to mangle the order of the plot is likely to do very bad things. —Alorael, who suspects that you could, with some ingenuity, look through scripts to find the right way to edit the editor. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

You can't complete any quests before receiving them, but you can complete the requirements of the quest. Then the actual quest consists of finding the right person in some town, agreeing to do the quest, and then informing them that you have. That's sometimes only two conversation clicks. —Alorael, who killed a fair number of quests monsters before getting their quests. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I hear that Bush has snubbed the wiring lobby and is pushing for legislation that will make sex change adapters illegal in the United States. —Alorael, who suspects that the dirtiness of the look is directly proportional to the drool emitted by the looker. A4 is getting most of its accolades for the scripting and combat, not the plot. On a different engine, all you have is the plot and it's nothing to brag about. Instead of making E4, try making a huge but entirely new scenario. Like At the Gallows, maybe! —Alorael, whose project to make A4 playable with punchcards is on hold indefinitely. Happy birthday, Tyranicus! You can always be an irresponsible whippersnapper around here. Remember, in a duodecimal number system you're still only 18. —Alorael, whose reaction to his birthday is usually to ignore it and hope it goes away. It invariably does so in about a day. Is it such a terrible thing to relegate lore and legends to status as just that rather than plausible reality? There are enough real fuzzy lobsters and coelacanths without searching for the Loch Ness Monster and the drop bear. —Alorael, who met a ghost who explained to him how UFOs aren't real and how JFK really was killed by a lone gunman. Sadly, before the ghost could explain away cryptozoology and paranormal events it was dispersed by a telepathic member of the Illuminati. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Not exactly. There's only one ending, but it consists of many pieces that change depending on what you do. There's one major choice that you make that makes the ending very different, but it's not to the same degree as Geneforge. —Alorael, who supposes that the distinction is playing through the same game and getting a different ending in A4. Geneforge has endings that happen in different places and at different times. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Fantasy and science-fiction aren't game genres. They can be applied to strategy, action, shooter, sports (theoretically!) or RPGs. Speaking of RPGs, why aren't they on the list? These are the forums of a company that makes RPGs! —Alorael, who also wants a place for games like Tranquility, which is more arcade than anything else but not very arcade-like. I think they would. Their best researchers would be sent to learn everything about it, and then in the measured opinion of some committee the results would be buried in a secret library and the ruins leveled with quickfire. —Alorael, who has boundless faith in the Empire's desire for maintenance of the status quo.
