Rasil looked rather blankly. He saw a large dragon sitting there comfortably beside the inn, just like the innkeeper said. The dragon was around 20 feet big, with green scales, and a tail that would probably shread anything in two. The head had two horns on the forehead that curved back, and inbetween, the usual spines down the center of the back. He had his wings over him, as though they were blankets. His giant mass shivered a little amid how warm it was. Rasil noticed the newcomer walking by the dragon. It was time to greet him. "Hey there!" Rasil cried from a distance. Tel looked back. Aarrow looked from around the wall, arrow poised and ready, while Vincent came out of the tavern door. OOC: Tel, as a general RP rule, don't make your posts very short. Try to have a little more stuff happen within your posts. And sorry if thats not how your dragon looks like, but Rasil had to see something. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. With rhyming this bad, I'm rather suprised How the heck Sir Motrax suvived. His poem, they create a certain sensation Of wanting to kill his every creation. And yet he sits, laughing at us all, Seeing the poets, the bad ones fall, The good ones only to rise so great, Then die by Motrax, deciding their fate. While everyone falls in all his writings, May someone survive to tell of the blighting, And prove to all, that once for this time, Motrax will let one go right on by fine. Can you believe it, can you not see? I am still alive, breathing healthily! But sure enough, that time will come, When Motrax appears with letters so dumb, Make up a verse with me inside, And show me with words, how I will die. No matter how strange, or even how lame, He still gets his way, for shame, for shame. Hey everyone, guess what I did? I made a poem, and stupid it is! =P Hmmm... my meter's off a bit, but oh well. EDIT: Yep, knew that. But I prefer "stupid it is" to "it is stupid". It just makes the poem sound a little better in my opinion, and I like doing that... how do you say... "slip" rhyming? You know, like did and is. They don't rhyme, but they are close enough. Rasil was pacing about the inn, looking for anyone to help out when the bartender bumped into him. Rasil felt a piece of paper slip into his pocket as they apologized, and knew the bump was on purpose. He sat down with Schostas and Kris, Neris sleeping beside. Opening the note, Rasil began to read out loud what it said: "Rasil, Schostas, Aarrow Swift, Vincent, and Shadow Wolf: Look after the newcomer, and makes sure he does not get into trouble. He doesn't know how dangerous this place could really become, and I still don't trust him. His name is Tel. Ps: There is a dragon I have never seen before just sitting by the inn. Please check on this." Kris and Schostas looked at Rasil, as they evesdropped on his reading when they heard Schostas's name. Shadow Wolf had already disappeared, probably hearing what the note said already, and went off to work. The sky darkened further. Lance looked out of his tent to see the last of the setting sun, and shed a small tear. He held a small family portrait in his hand, with Geralds face scratched out with anger. I won't die until you have been erased, you and your whole cursed family... your whole kingdom! A couple of soldiers passed by, laughing and drinking to good health. Across the other side of the inn, Gerald paced relentlessly around camp. He was in the worst of moods, as a letter had just arrived, telling of his wife's disappearance. She was missing, and no one knew where she went, much less knowing which direction she was heading. She was only there for my pleasure anyhow, Gerald though. If at all, she should be glad I ever married her in the first place! The nerve of her just leaving me... A soldier offered Gerald something to drink before retiring. Gerald swiped it and drunk the whole thing. Tossing it aside, he walked back to his tent, angered still at the letter and the futile attempts of gaining the inn. OOC: The Middle Passing does not have any stables. Let me explain why. Due to the nasty crime that always gets tagged with an inn, the innkeeper/bartender needed something much safer than stables, as a thief could just cut the cord and run off with what they pleased. So he constructed the walls, where the caravans can enter and leave their stuff there. The only way for a theif to get out is by opening the gate or dropping from a high distance off the wall, and the gate makes enough noise for anyone inside to notice. And the gate doesn't opened very quickly. So yeah, that's directed towards Tel, who put his dragon in the stables... which really don't exist. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Sorry for not posting for so long... my dad doesn't approve much of me going on the internet for so long, at least when he's at the house. Well, at least we can get the story moving. I'm planning to wrap up the story after... maybe 2 or 3 more RP days. (Basically, however many days it passes during the RP.) So yeah. And thanks, Aarrow Swift for giving us the 'Pagely Report'! =) IC: Rasil pulled out his dagger from the now very dead wrym. It was amazing how it looked; there was almost nothing of it left, as the same with what the Geraldians were like. He was rather amazed he managed to find his dagger, as he bound it back to his wrist. He couldn't help but look at Schostas as he finally started to calm down: His robe showing the late Queen's insignia explained his allegience to the land of Serenity. Kris couldn't help but feel curious. He walked slowly up to Schostas, who was sitting down on a stool. "I couldn't help but notice," Kris started, "that you have an insignia of the late Queen on your robes... perhaps you can tell me why?" Neris clung to his side, still shivering. Kris was waiting for an answer, horror still in eyes, but defiant in getting an explanation. Outside, the sun was sinking. A little more rest would come for the next day... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Lynn quickly took stock of everything around her while battling the six around her. With deft skill, she fended off all six of her attackers and dug her spear into one of them. The two mages in the back ran to help Terebrant, leaving Lynn to herself. "Alright, its time to show these mindless bodies what I can do!" She shouted. Her voice reverberated arcross the dark room. Sudden growls arose from the darkness behind the now 4 ghasts, as she just cut another one in half. Lynn tripped another ghast and cut its arm off to take a quick glimpse at what was beyond the darkness. Sounds were coming, but nothing was forming. She stabbed her spear into the ghast still getting up, and ran-kicked across the other three. Pulling out her spear, she gave oscillate swings and tore the rest into shreads. Terebrant had just escaped the three ghasts that had chased them, as they lay in smoldering ashes from the mages's spells. Both Terebrant and Lynn looked at the impeding darkness as the sounds grew. Sure enough, dozens of shapes started to take shape... The thunder struck much louder this time. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. "Well I don't care. Besides, I got the light beside me from the door to help me right now," Said Lynn, and went through. Lynn burst open through the door underneath the temple, and gutted a stationary zombie. Soon, some of the undead noticed, and began reaching for the opening that was just made. Lynn pulled her spear close and began to spin it. As though it was a dance, she began to make mincemeat out of a zombie through all the twirling of the spear. Soon, a zombie and a skeleton was upon her. She stopped her dance, stabbed the zombie, and swiped off the head of the skeleton. The room was clear, but ahead were the ghasts, and regular soldiers aren't really up for a sort of task like that. The room where the small group of undead were was now lit with candles. Some soldiers lazily dozed, wiating for orders, while others played cards. Some actually left from the underground, and went back up to help the temple. Lynn summoned Terebrant to her side. "We need to get rid of the line of Ghasts, but we can't just send the soldiers ahead. We'd lose too many. So I'm taking you with me." Before Terebrant could speak, Lynn grabbed the side of his shirt and dragged him toward the room with the ghasts that were waiting... The sound of thunder resounded through the candle-lit room. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Rasil had run out of arrows. Putting the bow back onto his back, he looked for anyway to get into the wyrm while drawing his daggers. No luck. Everywhere was covered, and Shadow Wolf was too busy with the wrym. "I know I'm gonna regret this," He said as he uncuffed one of his daggers off of his wrist. He untied the bounds to it and held it. The dagger was a bit different than any ordinary one. The pommel was a round ring, the hilt was somewhat larger, and the blade curved into a point. He grabbed it and readied it for throwing. He closed one eye, and aimed for the wyrms chest. The Undead wyrm, still trapped by the driads, raised itself high in front of Shadow Wolf, and at that time, Rasil threw his dagger. With uncommon speed and accuacy, the dagger dug into the wyrm and went inside, pommel, hilt, and blade. The new gash on the wrym cause some more oozing liquid to splurt outward, and now was Shadow Wolf's chance to do some more damage. OOC: I know about your energy thing, but Rasil doesn't. ;) He didn't see it, so of course he would do something like that. For everyone's info, those daggers are hand-crafted by Rasil himself. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. These boards are not meant to be a special board where you happen to rule and can curse out people in certain ways. (Pathetic weaklings my foot.) You have never registered, or probably have with a much older account but was banned in the end. Even then, that doesn't give the right for you to just barge in and call everything here crap. For that matter, I would like to state that your one of those fair-weather fans. If anyone doesn't know, a fair-weather fan is someone who is happy and supports when everything is good, but ditches and taunts when things go bad. You know, I may not have been here for long enough to know how everyone is, but at least I know that not everything is going downhill in your consideration. Once again, "pathetic weaklings"? Please tell who these weaklings are, before your topic is locked a third time. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Lynn came out from the hole coughing somewhat from some upset dust. People noticed her as she called for everyone. "HEY!!" She yelled. That got everyone's attention. "There is something down here, and I need a good force to come down with me. All Crimson Guard members, come with me. Anyone that wants to volunteer, follow me. I'll be waiting down here." With that, another cloud of smoke, and she back back down with Terebrant. "I don't think you knew we had mages," she said, walking toward the doors, waiting for the Crimson Guard and the volunteers. OOC: Once again, sorry for the late posts. Didn't mean to keep everyone waiting. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Martin had lost the rest of the party that were headed for the next town. He was utterly lost himself, in darkness, and not knowing where the heck everyone else had gone off to. Another step, another rustle of the grass. He kept walking along north west, in hopes of reaching anything. Sure enough, he saw light coming from a crest of a hill. He began to jog upward, tripping every now and then. And finally, he reached the town. "Welcome to a new place," he uttered to himself. The town was unusually quiet, even if lights were on. He chanced on the inn and saw the body both Charts and Izzannor had come upon, with her viens still out and green. Sure enough, he noticed the hole created by the dwarfs, not known to him. He went down into it... There was a knock at the library door. Charts, head still hurting and annoyed that someone would knock, went over to open it. When she did, she saw Martin their, with his stupid heroic grin smacked onto his face, as though he was cool. "How did you-" Charts began, but got inturrupted. "How did I get here? Easy," Martin replied. "Adventurers find each other no matter what in the end. I don't care what you say, either. Learned it i-" Charts socked him much harder this time, and he fell to the floor actually yelling in pain. "OW! Man, your gonna knock all my teeth out if this keeps up..." He muttered to himself. OOC: Sorry about not posting. I don't know where everyone went, and no one really gave me a real location. Plus, you guys seemed to be the only ones around, so I needed to get back to the group, and fast. If you don't think my post is any good, I can always edit it. "Aarrow!" Rasil screamed. He darted toward him, as the wyrm continue to let out blood of a strange color. Rasil looked at Aarrow and saw what had happened. Aarrow's face was distraught, and his fists were clenched as though in rage, he shook violently every now and then, and his eyes were drawn with a blank. Aarrow's body had lost control of itself, and it would not get any better. The monks were not finished yet. With one more spell left, they mumbled something from the darkness. A dark black aura covered the wyrm, and the monster slowly got back up again. It had become an undead. There were sounds of collapsing in the darkness, meaning that the monks must have given their lives for this spell. The now undead wyrm let out a sickening shriek and awaited for the next round. On the outside, Gerald had forgotten about the tunnel. He was on something new... something that would get all of his men into the inn and skip that accursed wall, and he would be in the front, commanding the whole thing... Lance was pacing in his war tent, when a soldier came up. "I have bad news to report, sir," The soldier said. "The mercenary monks you hired sir, they have not come out. In fact, I had just heard some monster's scream that might have shook the valley. I don't think they survived, sir." Lance only looked at him and smiled. "Well, looks like they don't get paid," He said. "Quickly, bring the Air unit. I think they may come of use tomorrow..." OOC: This is somewhat making up for the amazingly short post I made just back then, so sorry if anyone else was thinking to take the next post. At least now, you can see what everyone is doing. And yes, those monks are downright evil in the end, and they were mercenaries. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. I think another one would have to be how long your posts are. Decent long posts which describe what your character is doing is usually good, but if you make it too long, it can become tedious and boring. Making it short will make the actions go by much quicker, but you have a chance to lose your character in all the confusion. Too many people in one RP can also destroy it. God-like characters can be dealt with, even in a serious RP. You just gotta work around such things. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Gerhalt couldn't wait any longer. Getting up from his chair, he started to walk out of the room, when Aran stopped him. "Where are you going?" Aran questioned. "I'm leaving," Gerhalt answered. "Its tiring waiting here when we already know they are going to send a force over here. We just take a crystal and leave already, before they come and destory this clan." With that, Gerhalt left the building, walking slowly to the fortress alone. OOC: I'm tired of all this explaining. OOC: Sorry about not Pming back, Prem. I sort of forgot to send the reason back to you. Well, I'll just go by your reason, hope it won't hurt you. IC: Most of the monks were now in trouble. More than half were cut down; the rest were retreating into the darkness of the cellars passages. Rasil didn't care for the monks anymore. The Wyrm was the greatest concern, even if two Shadow Wolf's were keeping it busy. Rasil stood back to the Cellar door and called for some arrows. Bringing his bow out, he grabbed a quiver that was handed to him, and nocked an arrow, aiming at the wyrm. OOC: Rasil will be in the back for this battle. Rasil drew his daggers and faced the wyrm, his legs shaking somewhat. He had never faced such an oppenent, and the monks had made it even worse. Suddenly, the monks gathered about once again, and started to chant. Almost immediately, Shadow Wolf was covered in a red aura of light. Rasil jumped into the circle of monks, but it was too late. Shadow Wolf tripped over a rock, and had to make a flip to keep himself from falling. He was cursed, and badly, too. The monks were becoming too much of a pain. With that, Rasil swung and flipped about, knocking one of the monks flat, and slashing another. The next moment, all of the monks had swords out, and were surrounding the theif. The wyrm reared up and continued striking at the rest of the party. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Martin looked at Izzannor in suprise. I can't belive how quickly he blew away that demon... He looked at Izzannor once again. So the race of life began. Rasil and Aarrow, dragging the fallen Geraldian, raced down the endless cavern, taking turns at every point. Left here, right over there... strait ahead. The noise kept right behind them, as they raced further in their heteric run. Somehow, luck was shining on them. At least a little. Rasil tripped on a rock and flew 12 feet, right into a cirlce of monks next to the all so familiar door to the inn. Immediately the monks broke up and looked from behind their hoods at the perpetraitors. Rasil was laying in the middle of the circle; Aarrow had just reached Rasil, The Geraldian being dragged behind him. The noise came much closer; The door to the inn burst out and Schostas, Vincent, and Shadow Wolf came out, with Neris peeking from behind the door. Finally, the creature padded out... Martin was about to get ready to punch the child for impudent remark, stopped when he heard Charts. He decided to be the Lady's man. "Well, I'll join and assist you," Martin spoke. "I see no need to be with this... Child. How about we part away from this town now, as to avoid such evil? I'll keep watch over you-" Before he could finish his line, Charts walked right up to him and socked him in the face. He fell heavily, cracking a weak floorboard. "Ow! Jeez, you've got some... hey, what's under here?" Martin looked. Skulls were down underneath the foundation of the house. Many bones, many still with rotting old meat, were piled underneath. Amazing how no one smelt it. "OH MY GOD!!!" Martin screamed. "WHAT THE H*LL IS THAT STUFF?" OOC: Gee, why not have some little suprise. The child might have to explain why such stuff is under the house. And Yeah, Martin is a bastard. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Lynn felt strange. She kept hearing a strange noise coming from below her, no matter how much she tried to shake it from her head. With nothing else to do, she told Eirik to look after Galen, with Eirik's usual complaining. Lynn left out and began to find the source of the noise. The noise could be heard clearer with each step she took, until she came upon a small hole in the temple, where the sounds grew louder. She grabbed her spear, the one that was taken from the temple, and went down. Her fall was a bit rough. Without a ladder there, she had to jump down, and it hurt her ankle badly. With another look, she heard the sound one more time. With that, Lynn took off in the direction. She bumped right into Terebrant. OOC: There we go, SIS. Sorry for the delayed post and all. Martin looked about the town, noticing every detail. Heavily charred buildings, crumbling walls, destroyed fields. The town itself was a disaster area. He couldn't help but feel a bit akward when he saw that a child was still here, but no one else was. "Hey, kid, could you tell us why your the only one here?" Martin asked. "I mean, there just has to be some sort of reason why only one child is left in such a port town like this." OOC: Sorry, MSW. =( My misreading caused you to wake up. Whoops. OOC: RP's are great, but now I have to think up ANOTHER character... this will be difficult... Name: Martin Kadsworth Age: 26 Eyes: Deep, dark, brooding brown. Hair: Brown. Like a brunette. Desc: He wears a brown robe about him, and wears no armor at all. However, he has on simple boots for travel and always carries his backpack around. His attitude is very cool, until you actually hurt him. Then he gets pissed. Weapons: Two iron flails, with decorated handles. Background: Martin actually was an Exile before this. His younger years were that of searching for an exit out of exile. He joined a small band, and managed to escape with them. (I had one of the characters in BTM, but I dropped out when I couldn't grab hold of the story.) After reaching the surface, he left the party and became a mercenary. For some reason, he had very bad luck in many things, from just finding a job to actually screwing it up horribly. He came upon this boat in hopes that this time, he won't mess up the job once more. IC: Martin sat upon a coil of rope, looking outward into the sea. Land could be seen pretty easily, as they began to near Timat. Maybe I'll get a good job here... Martin thought to himself. He chanced upon a girl leaning against the side rails and smirked, evil thoughts entering his mind. How about you take that off for me? His smirk became a smile. The girl looked back at him, her purplish robe swirling. She smile sweetly at him, and his smile beamed a little brighter. How about NO? A telepathic talk hit him so quickly that he fell inside the coil of rope he was sitting on. "Woa.. Ouch!" He bumped his head on the deck inside the coil and was stuck. "Ger.. Hi... Help me, I can't get out of here!" The girl merely moved to a different spot, leaving Martin to squirm about in the coils of rope. OOC: Hope that is an ok entrance. MSW, since your character is a mage, I just thought to give her a telepathic power. Hope that doesn't mess you up. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing.
