OOC: ...And MSW is the one to don the "Joan of Arc" slot! And she did a helluva job, too. IC: Lynn and Eirik, carrying Galen with them, took off for the temple in haste. She had the blue spear on her back, shining against the new born sun. The Fog was clearing a little; The inn wasn't lost completely when they reached the shrine. Already, there were people standing around. Most of the mercenaries, but some happened to be local townsfolk, just trying to survive such an attack. Lynn laid Galen prostate on the floor, and looked at the scar. It had gotten bigger since last time, and Galen was sweating badly from all around his body. "Quick, find a healer! I'll stay with him," Lynn commanded Eirik. Eirik had no other choise but to agree. After all, this was someone's life on the line... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. XD -Schostas: Alive and well, just recovered from coma. With Neris and the Innkeeper. -Vincent: TRYING to make conversation with the evil monks, but failing miserably. -Kris (PC by all): Staggering, lost in cellars. Fell unconsious, saw Rasil last. -Gerald (PC by all): Currently fuming, mad at everything. Vincent is trying to converse with them. -Innkeeper (PC by all): Happy to see Neris back, with Schostas and Neris. You know... we never did make a name for him... Well, there you go for now. I won't post up my IC until Aarrow Swift posts. Enjoy, Kogar. EDIT: NO, Kogar. The innkeeper should have no name in the end. Just makes him seem better. I only put it there to point out. And trust me, I don't need the innkeeper running around with a name. =P [ Tuesday, October 28, 2003 00:23: Message edited by: Tommy ] -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Gerhalt took one hard stare at the horribly massacred room. Blood seems to drip in the oddest of places. Twisted faces in every direction, from both sides. Gerhalt only shrugged, and then procceeded to loot the corpses. Almost no one objected. Dern looked at everyone after he finished his prayers, and waited for an answer. "Well," Gerhalt spoke up, "I see no reason not to help. We're going to be fighting them anyhow now that we've battled them. More than likely, their boss is telling them to get our names ready for assasination." He looked at some of the survivors. "If we leave, we'll still have to fight them, and they would probably come to invade other lands if not pacified now. So, I'm gonna go help the Moon Clan." With that, he grabbed a chair that was still amazingly intact and sat, waiting for the others to answer. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: You know, everything is crazy at the moment. This RP is going down in flames (Literally, burning up!). I'm going to get Lynn out of this town as soon as possible if it continues out like this. This RP is more or less done for at the moment unless someone dons the "Joan of Arc" act and saves it just in the nick of time. IC: Lynn and the Crimson Guard took patrol of the inn for the night. The zombies came in periodic sieges through most of the night, giving time for rest every now and then. They had such an advantage to kill me, but for some reason the zombies held back... A small slant of light shone out onto the town covered in fog... A new day was arriving. "Finally!, I see light!" Lynn sighed. Another zombie could be heard in the distance. OOC: Just read each post, Nazgul. That is the best advice I can give you if you want to learn about the plot... if there is one. =P -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Gerhalt showed a rather unknown power: Healing. With muttered words, he began healing other warriors, keeping to the back of the rank. One of the clansmen managed to get behind and strike at him, but Gerhalt deflected the attack with agility. The clansman fell right after, swords protuding (sp?) out of his back from other warriors. The battle continue to rage, with more fighters falling each second... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. "Hmm.. What could possible be the cause of this?" Rasil paused. He held up the brown piece of cloth that was considered his "evidence". He could only hope for it to come out right. Showing the "evidence" to Aarrow, they both came to the conclusion that the piece of cloth was absolutely useless to solve anything here. When they were just about to leave the enourmous cemetary when sounds came from a tunnel behind them. Rasil raced over to the entrance, daggers drawn. He peeked over and gasped. It was a Geraldian, and he was badly wounded! Kris couldn't go much further. An encounter with a strange creature and the inductment of excecution for 'letting' the girl go (Signed by Gerald) made him a dead man in any place. He staggered and touched his wounded chest, his armor torn up and the proud sigil of Truth tarnished with blood. He saw dimly someone out there rushing to him. Kris collapsed and fell unconsious. Rasil looked at the fallen warrior. Who was he? Rasil called Aarrow over. "We have a survivor. He looks familiar, but I can't guess where I've seen his face before... Should we help him?" The Evil Monks made the inn their official home. They took the cellars and ordered no one to enter unless given permission. The innkeep had to make sure all of his casks were ok, and ordered everyone to start gathering and placing the casks in a certain area. Of couse, there were still a select few working on the walls. Both sides continued to stayed quiet. OOC: Kris comes into the picture, and it seems as though he was attacked by something. Not only that, he has become an outcast from the Kingdom of Truth. What next? Oh yes, the monks. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Wiseman, I ask only one thing: Don't change the plot too drastically! The main central focus is the war of Serenity, and the two sides trying to take over the inn. Or destroy it... IC: Rasil looked through the clean bones and armor from the remains of the soldiers. "This place is really not getting any better... We can't even find our way around any more. Think we could turn back?" Rasil looked toward Aarrow for advice. After all, Rasil was much younger than Aarrow. Aarrow shook his head slowly. "If you can find where to turn back, then sure. But until then, we might as well forget it." Aarrow took another swig of ale. The two ended up searching the pile of bones for clues to what happened here. Picking through each one and tossing them, they found absolutely nothing of what happened. "I just don't see what could clean these soldiers off like this..." Rasil murmured. He stumbled upon a single little clue: A torn piece of brown cloth. "Hey, Aarrow, come here! I found something!" While prancing about, Rasil didn't notice the figure coming from behind him, sword raised... OOC: Neris, where are ye!? Prem, we need you to get Neris home. Maybe she will be happy to be home, raising the moral of the innfolk, and who knows? Maybe Neris will know the reason behind the evil monks... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Taihen reached for the top bunk, only to be swiped off of it. Apparently someone was up there already. "Hey, I already called top bunk," Taihen stated. But the person on the bunk didn't move. Finally, after Taihen shouting above everyone else, the person did get up to reveal themself. It was a man (Aww! So much for a female!), wielding a heavy steel tipped staff, blunt on both sides. He wears a dark blue cloak, which covered almost everything about him. A gold cloak clasp of the leaves of a tree kept the cloak together. His boots were a golden hue, and he had on silver gloves. He wore a cross around his neck. "My name is Gerhalt," The man stated. With that, he got back onto the top bunk, much to Taihen's dismay. Some of the warriors inside still wondered how he was in there in the first place. OOC: I was gonna put Rasil in, but he's still in my rp I made before. Ah well, this is a new character. History and stuff will be revealed later. Hope this turns out great. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Flies out from the sky? What type of Technology is that? XD Well, I guess I can let you in. We only have 4 people at the moment (Me, Aarrow, Prem, and MSW). The rest quit. However, I think you need a better entrance. I don't mind how you go in. You can go ahead and fall out from the sky if you wish. Although, it would look a little strange to the people in the inn =P. IC: Rasil looked at Aarrow for a while, and then sat down upon a rock. "No, this wasn't like what I expected. I wonder why they left so fast. Maybe there is something down here... Alright, lets just search. Who knows?" Rasil gave a slight smile. "We just might find our way out." The two trekked off in a certain direction, looking for an exit to the endless mazes of the cellars... Meanwhile, the monks had made themselves at home. Schostas sat in his bed, reading a book as he did the night before all this happened. A shout came from the guard outside. "Someone! Ne-Ner-Neris! She's being carried by a dragonfly this way! Someone co-co-come qu-quickly!" Schostas smiled inwardly. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. IC: The five reach the inn just as the artificial sun burns out. Soon, the town was plunged back into darkness again. Lynn put her head down on the table and began to bang it. One of the Crimson Guard members came up to her. "Are you okay?" Lynn couldn't help but feel a little saddened at the thought of how the h*ll she was gonna get out of this situation. "Yes, I'm okay..." Her voice trailed. All the talk about vampires confuddled her mind and messed with her vision. All the action today was almost too much for her. A certain bar patron happen to speak up a small rumor of some 'cyrobeast' floating about town. Lynn groaned. Not another strange demonish creation! OOC: Get the RP moving. I'm tired of you people fighting. FB, just stick to the Cyrobeast. It seems the best option to go, since MSW has already used him. Forget the Shaper. Marooner, just keep rping... please. Oh, Marooner, ever heard of child progidies? That could happen. =P -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: I don't care for the posts, its the content. I'm happy about my RP since I got three great rpers with me, and all of us knows what we're doing. I don't think I'll be wanting anyone else in Holding the Tavern Front RP either. =) IC: Lynn was now throughly confused. All this talk about vampires, and graves were making her head spin. She never had to learn about things like this. She could only remember learning a little about necromancers, and the history behind them. "Okay, please," She started, "run all this over again when we get to the inn." The five, after finishing wards, set off for the inn, talking about what could have caused all of the zombie raids. Lynn couldn't help but feel left out. OOC: No, seriously, run this all over. I'm confused. Who is Chivon? I mean, we're with Chivon, but there's another guy named Chivon? And Zane is a necromance that chased Chivon to the ends of the Earth? Huh? Or is it the other way around? Er... Yeah, I'm very confused now. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. The shadow that had followed Aarrow came into view. It was only Rasil. He padded up to Aarrow and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'll go with you. I know how horrible it is to be alone in a battle. Might as well take a friend down with you, right?" Rasil smiled. Aarrow, even in his aggressive mood, grinned at that. "Then I'll be sure to take you down with me," Aarrow replied, and the two set off into the cellar. The cellars were different this time. After the cave-in a couple days ago, Some tankards fell, and more rubble was in the way. The Geraldian's somehow decided to abondon a place. But why? Why would such an army decide to leave... right when they were about to win? A couple empty tents stood, and some other miscellaneous things were scattered about. The two were puzzled. Flat out. Outside, something a little different was going on. A small band of monks that had traveled through the mountains chanced upon the inn for a small rest. Despite their evil aura that everyone could sense, the barkeep let them in... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Lynn could only shake her head. "I wish I really knew. The preists that used to reside in this town probably could have been part of it..." Eirik couldn't help but look a little blushed from that comment. "...after all, we found a lot of undead in the temple, thanks to Eirik over there." Eirik blushed even harder. She turned her head toward Lavius. "What do you know about this town? You seem to be-" Before she could finish, the boards on the door snapped right before their eyes, and the door burst open with zombies flooding in each second. "So much for explainations now!" Lynn shouted, gripping the spear she got from the temple in her hands. The five charged toward the door, and into battle. OOC: Yes, diverting away... however, something with the temple and priests that used to reside there had something to do with this... maybe it could be found in the sewers (where I belive someone is...). For that matter, how were the boards snapped in half, clean off? -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Kris knew his life ended this time, for certain. He returned to the tent with two bowls of soup, the usual staple for any warrior in Gerald's camp. Kris could only stare blankly at the rip in the tent. He heaved a sigh of remorse. When I get out of this war, I'll be nice to every girl I see for the rest of my life... Dejected, Kris set out to reluctantly call a search party for the girl, knowing how furious Gerald would be. OOC: On a rather unimportant note, Kris doesn't want to harm children or people that are absolutely harmless. So mainly, if you got a weapon, then your in trouble. But if your like Neris, no weapon, then your safe from his hands. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Lynn could only look out to see sounds. Suddenly she heard someone shouting "RUN!". Without hesitation, she opened the door, and in came three people piling on top of each other. She closed and started to board up the door afterwards. Lavius, Galen, and Chivon sat beside Eirik as Lynn continued to board up the door. The sounds were next to them, and scratches could be heard outside. Only one window was not borded up; with that, a zombie blew through, and was dismembered from limb to limb by the five before it could hit the ground. "Quickly," Lynn shouted, "Board up that window!" but she didn't even need to say it. Lavius was already hard at work, fending off the arms of zombies will nailing the wooden planks to the wall. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Heh. I was born in 1987, so no worries, MSW. Actually, I'm a heavy gamer, and my dad had some old games, like the D&D Pools of Radiance, Win, Lose or Draw, Space Quest, Lesiure Suit Larry 1 & 3 (Heh, I never did get to play 3), Commander Keen, Icon (Some adventure game), and LHX? Something like that, it was a helicopter game... *Sighs* Those were good days... Now I got Andband on my computer, in which I died about 14 TIMES. Died by Starvation once, lol. I play older games usually, since they somehow have a charm to most games. I have yet to try ADOM, but I have played this older game called Exslior or somewhat like that... I can't remember the name cause its so long. Oh, and to not stray off topic, Spiderweb will never change. Period. Everyone likes their work now, so why change in the first place? Just to make people mad and invite new ones? Forget it. Jeff is fine the way he is now. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Thanks, MSW. Gives a more visual approach, and now I know what creatures we have with us. IC: A new day was rising, but completely different from the rest. The wall was still crumbled, and a magic wall was never replaced. However, it did not make too much of a difference. The sun rose over misty skys, and an overcast clung to the skies. Everything was gray and dim, especially for the innfolk. Gerald and Lance made no attempt to attack this day for a strange reason. Probably to recooperate from their losses or to plot out new schemes. Once again, it made no real difference. Rasil stood on the paraphet, on top of the wall, looking out toward Gerald's camp. His heart was unusually forboding this day, as his mind kept straying off onto Neris or the days he fought for a town against a horde of undead. Aarrow was also awake, pacing about stubbornly, waiting for anything to come. A shout came from the inn in the second floor. "He's waking up! Schostas is waking up!" OOC: Thank you for keeping the RP alive, MSW. This would have gone under if it wasn't for your help. You too, Promenition. And of course, you, Aarrow. However, we still have a long way to go... gear up and get ready. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. I got it way back in... 93? I can't remember very well. It was and still is on a "1000+ Great Games" CD (Which were, of course, crap demos). But Exile caught my eye. I played it, and played it, and played it... but I really could never register. Still too young, and my parents won't let me. I still have my level 43 save on there... still can't be Motrax! Lol. Lynn walked in the darkness by herself, lantern held in her hand. The rest of the Crimson Guard were in the inn, helping and drinking with the reinforcements and other defenders. Maybe Eirik didn't noticed where he was running... Eirik bumped into Lynn, hard. The lantern flew out of her hand and broke upon the ground, dousing the fire and leaving both of them in darkness. "What... who..! Eirik!!" Lynn couldn't keep her temper from Eirik's unfortunate appearance. "You've been a burden to me, ever since you had to travel with me! But now knocking both of us into darkness...!?" She stopped and looked. For some reason, a thick fog had appeared ever since she left the inn, and just now, she noticed it. She couldn't even see a building or light nearby. "...Er..." Eirik started, about to apologize, but was then hushed by Lynn. Sounds were coming, and they didn't sound human. More of a strange gurgle... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Gee, I never did have really strange dreams except for one: I dreamed that me, my brothers and my friends were playing on top of a hill, and the hill at the bottom was a cliff that lead down WAAAY down. So we we're playing up there, and finally got tired. I sat at the edge, and one of my friends pushed me. I fell for I don't know how long, and when I woke up, I was laying on my pool table. I was sleeping on top of a bunk, so that explained the falling... (I was still in Elementary School at the time) Other than that, I don't really know any wierd dreams. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Lynn was in the middle of repairing a torn down house. The town was half destoryed from the attack, night had come, and Lavius had ventured off to the graveyard himself. That idiot, she thought. Going to get himself killed, even if night time had arrived... She continued on with the renewal project. The inn was next, as half of its wall was missing, and the roof was holed. The Geraldian's were pushed back by the renewed efforts of the defenders. The Lancian's were busy enough as it is against the summoned creatures (Including one Haakai!(sp?)), and more summoned creatures went to help fend off the Geraldains. Soon enough, the squad commander called for a retreat. The people in the inn cheered joyously as the remaining forces of Geraldians fled down the cellars. Still with anger in his head, Rasil gave chase to the now cowering Geraldians. Stars were starting to pop out. It was night, and the Lancians had quit fighting the summoned creatures to heal their wounds as well. Both sides were despising each other, but Gerald still had the upper hand. That night, everyone was seated inside the inn. There were no real sounds. Everyone was quiet... thinking about the now captured bar girl that always served the drinks and food. Aarrow couldn't handle the silence. He got out of his chair, and left the inn for the outside air. Rasil fingered his ring quietly. Schostas laid, resting in a bed upstairs. The sound of a summoned creature cried outside. OOC: Sorry for the quick turn of events. I needed night bad, so why not?
