"The walls! The walls are breached!" The sound of one sentence immediatly caught everyone's attention as the catapults hurled their load toward their target and hit with dead accuracy. Aarrow had finished powering up. He released his arrow and it flew strait into someone... and out his back. The arrow kept going and seeked out enemies as though it had a life of its own. It narrowly missed Lance, who had to actually jump off his horse to keep from being hit. Rasil was done; He sheathed his bow, tired of firing and raced to the breached wall, where there would be soldiers pouring out by now if there wasn't anyone holding the line back. Rasil noticed a gothic looking man with strange heraldic symbol of a dragon passing by. "Hey, get over here!" Rasil screamed. The man walked very slowly as though the world would turn twice. "Do you need my assistance?" The man queried. "Yeah, get over there and help the line out! The walls have been breached and we still have all day before night time!!" Rasil shouted. "Okay, just don't blow a nerve..." The man began to walk in his usual slow stride. He disappeared behind the dust Rasil was leaving behind as he raced toward the breached wall. Gerald was tired of it all. He called an officer over to him. "I need you to get a large platoon and find a pass somewhere between these mountians. Take that inn and kill anyone you see that isn't part of the Kingdom of Truth. Now go!" The officer saluted smartly and ran off to gather men. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Rasil shot another arrow into one of the armies. He couldn't tell weather or not if the arrow hit a target, but no one could really tell in a tide of soldiers. Lance was getting impatient. He strode near the front lines of the battle to give moral support to his soldiers that were battling two things at once. "This is getting me nowhere! Quickly, I want the walls of the inn down!" The army made way for 8 catapults that merged out of the crowd. The Middle Passing had a bigger problem than just soldiers now. Gerald did not care that much about the inn. He called on ballistas to take out as many soldiers as possible. In the midst of it all, Rasil noticed Aarrow chanting something with his arrow glowing bright red. Might as well help out and protect. Rasil shot into the crowd again, hoping that the barkeep was also stocked up on quivers of arrows. OOC: Nah, this RP really isn't dead, just rather slow going. I have to wait for everyone else to respond before I can really go on. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. The slith captain was lost. Very, very badly lost. All the accursed tunnels have confused her, and she could not make heads or tails of where to go. She was going to black out soon, and was hoping for anything good to happen. She stumbled into the main rebel base on accident instead of what she was hoping, like some stock of potions... Kyrissian stared at the base in suprise. It was suprisingly empty for a base. They musst have left... She serched in a red haze for any potion or healing mechanism. The whole place... emptied... out? The pain was too much. In the mist of red fog and the black blanket that was surrounding her, she caught a glimpse of someone coming out of the tunnel (to the tower... she doesn't know that) and start to race toward her. Kyrissian blacked out. OOC: I want someone to tag along and be the person coming out of the tunnel. I don't care who, but someone that won't kill, but help. She's too easy of a target right now... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Kyrissian was watching the battle from a distance. She managed to slay every rebel that attacked her, but not without loss. Her body was ripped up, her left arm could not be used from the pain, and all of her strength was now being used to keep herself consious as she sat in the dimly lit space. Shadow wolf just managed to take out the ice hydra in two fell swoops, and was not heading strait for the spider... she noticed his coat was rather seared. I don't need to interrupt them until they take care of that... She grimaced at her wounds, hoping to have the strenght to destory these rebel heroes before it was too late. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. An hour passed and the two armies grew restless. Everyone in the inn geared up and stocked up. "So, we have healing potions stocked up?" Rasil asked the barkeep. "Yes, we do. An oi also got'n some curing an' haste," the barkeep replied. "Good. And what about energy for any mages?" "We'n be gettin' those forever! oi'm overfilled with those." "Great! The more the better!" The two armies charged toward the inn. Seeing each other, they both attacked each other the same instant they hit the tavern. The battle had begun. OOC: Might as well. I want some action already. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Alright, I'll go ahead and take control of the battle and all. Sorry for not posting early. IC: Kyrissian managed a blow on Molek, but was beaten back as the two managed to make a suprising team together. Her army was really starting to feel the effects of defeat as they were thinning in numbers. "Retreat!" She shouted as the remaining forced began to withdraw. The rebels took pursuit on what was left of Kyrissian's army. "I'll hold them off mysself! Retreat back to town!" Kyrissian stopped and faced the rebel army. 10 minutes later... Molek and Pachu stood at one side. The rebels made a circle around the three again. Kyrissian stood at the other end, Halberd ready. The three clashed once again. Kyrissian was slahed in the arm mid-fight as the pair once again fought with such skills never seen. They grew too headstrong. Pachu charged foward with confidence as Molek drew back. Her chance came. Gathering strenght, she drove her halberd foward. The weapon came out, blood splurting everywhere. Pachu stood in shock with the weapon through his stomach, blood leaking down the halberd. His blank stare met with Kyrissian's. She pulled out her halberd and Pachu fell to the ground, motionless, and lifeless. Molek raced back and screamed behind him, "Take out that lizard!!!!" The rebel soldiers were immediately upon Kyrissian. Nothing else could be seen as Molek continued to race back toward HQ with the news of his friend's death. OOC: There we go. What happens to Kyrissian? Who knows? You'll see her another time. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. The amry had reached the small cottage. It seemed as though that was all it was. Kyrissian was displeased. That spiteful moron will pay for leading uss to this dead end... She walked toward the house and began to search it. She came upon the invisible wall by accident: She kicked one of her soldiers at the hut and he passed right through. She immedietly called everyone to attention. They prepared to enter when out of wall, a rebel band popped out and charged! Molek and Pachu were in the front. The rebels split the whole army in two and surrounded them. Kyrissian knew this would demoralized the soldiers and the archers were in great danger. After stabbing and and cutting some rebels, she headed strait for the leaders. No one, and I mean NO ONE, will ambush me and get away with it! Kyrissian leaped high into the air: more than 10 feet. Everyone almost stopped fighting to look up as her figure continue to float in the air. She spotted the heavily armored man that had charged and drove her halberd strait down. Molek had enough time to react. He deflected her attack and flew off balance. A circle formed around Kyrissian and Molek as Pachu came out. "You alright?" Pachu asked. "Yeah... that bastard lizard is Kyrissian..." Molek breathed. "She will pay for all those rebels she has killed thus far." The three stood and time practically froze. Two pairs of eyes stared right into hers. The sounds of battle grew on around her and the two leaders. "I think I'll have ssome fun with you two..." Kyrissian said with a smile. Both sides charged. OOC: Ah, yes. Hero battle, right here! =P I don't want to kill anyone in my posts personally, so I'll let someone else show this battle out. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. The sweeping of the town began and finished like anything else. They serched around the port town and found nothing. Sstrange... this place is alwaysss crawling with rebel idiots. Kyrissian knew something was amiss and decided to do a detailed serch for herself. 10 minutes later, she found the mound where the bartender was buried. Immedietly, everyone was interrigated around to see what was going on. One person in the inn squeaked about the adventurers going to find the rebel leader. He told the direction of excatly where they went. Within minutes, the troop got together and marched in the direction toward the rebel base. OOC: Waiting for chapter 3... its the only way this character will Really get in. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Yeah, the bartender should have a name. However, I do think that its not my business to give him a name, but more of like your idea, prominition. You are, after all, the "daughter" of his. ;) IC: Rasil continued to look out when Neris and the gatekeeper came in. They both said the message at the same time: "The tavern has to go to Gerald of Truth." "The tavern has to go to Lance of Light." Everyone looked at both of them, wishing that was just a joke. The two armies stood their, waiting for a response before the hour passed when they would invite themselves in. "Oi don't like 'de look of this," The bartender remarked. Everyone had to agree. Rasil was rather in wonderment at the man reading his book. He didn't even budge at any of the news yet. "Hey, you over there!" Rasil shouted. The man didn't budge. Hey, you there with the book!" He shouted louder. The man began to stir... -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Upon a new day... Rasil woke up as the sun filtered through his face. He heard noises outside and couldn't tell the time. He stumbled out of bed to look out of the window. When he reached it, he looked out dreamily. His look was sharpened quickly from what he saw outside. A large army stood quiet, waiting for something, with the flags flowing about every odd end. It showed the picture of a castle and a bright light at the top of the middle tower. Rasil barged out of his room, slipped, and rolled down the stairs into the barroom, making a lot of noise out of accident. Schostas was still sitting in the same barstool, reading his book. Outside, a tavern stood in between two large armies ready to charge with blood on thier mind. OOC: Its the next day, and now I don't think too many people could join. Unless of course they want to try and filter through an army. And since MSW didn't reply soon enough, I'll just pretend he stood up all night reading the book. :D -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Well, it seems as though the hurricane comes closer to the US, the more paranoid everyone is getting. I live in Onslow, and lately everything is going pretty crazy here. Everyone is stocking up, school is closing for the rest of the week (maybe a blessing...), everyone is worried about power going out, its just getting somewhat crazy here. And Isabel just keeps coming closer. Well, I don't have much to say, execpt what everything thinks of this hurricane. That, and wish me luck in getting past this. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Kryissian was in a very foul temper at this time. Another rank of desserterss... not again. I'll hunt them myssself if nessaccary. She was doing a routine sweep of the island, looking for any rebels to capture or kill. She was an officer for Baltazar, and a very successful one, too. She was the reason why so many rebels were killed. She was known throughout the land by her name personally. She was in command of 100 soldiers and 30 archers. "Alright!" She yelled at her grunts. "Whoever tellsss me of where the dessserters are won't die by my hands alone! Until then, rationss are cut and we will march without resst! Onward!" The men couldn't help but laugh at how miserable their lives would be for other people's action. Their next target of sweeping: A small port town on the side of Siris Island. OOC: Sorry about not coming in sooner. My little sister took control of the computer at night, so I'm only left with morning. That, and Hurricane Isabelle is headed my way. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Night settled in the tavern and even then, it was very packed. Still many rowdy people were enjoying themselves to the fullest. Rasil looked in awe as he watched Aarrow down a double of what he was drinking in seconds and not even flinch! He just sat there after Aarrow was done for a few minutes, still rather awe stuck at how easily he drank such firy liquid. He came of his stupor soon after and asked for a room. "Oi, I culd give ye a room... 30 gold." "Deal." "Neris! Get over 'ere 'dis instant! Show this man to 'is room." Neris popped out of nowhere behind Rasil and startled him. "Follow me, sir." Rasil fell out of his seat and bumped his head on the floor. Slowly getting up, he started to follow her. OOC: Interaction. Booyah. :P Oh, and the bartender has an Irish accent to me. Sorta got it from preminition's first post. BTW, Tonight will be the deadline. Trying to join afterwards would be rather... strange and/or idiotic. Especially about what I'm going to do. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Well, I guess now a time is any better. Soo many good characters, there aren't enough bad ones. So here we go. -Name: Kyrissian -Gender: Female -Race: Slith/Drake (?) -Appearance: Slender and strong, wears crafted plate mail, in full body armor, and carries a freakin' big steel halberd. -Personality: Fierce, not very playful, rather cunning. -Abilities: Amazing fighting skills... err... that's about it. No magic, weak against magic. -Bio: Kryissian was originally from Exile. She managed to escape after joining a small group of adventurers. She had a dear friend named Melissa in that group, but they were seperated afterwards. Kryissian made it to Siris Island after a year of wandering, and was brainwashed by Baltazar the Mad. She is now a major officer for the army that resides on Siris Island. Rather, this is really knawing on me. Should I make her half drake? She wouldn't know it, and that would give her another disadvantage: Beserk. She would just attack anyone in a huge rage, friend and foe alike. Nazgul, if you accept, please give me the answer of whether or not to make her half drake. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Yeah, forgot to post the victory conditions and losing conditions. Victory - One kingdom takes over the other. - The inn is successfully defended. - The inn takes a side. Losing - All characters die. - The inn is completly demolished. - Both kingdoms fall (It could happen.) More conditions will emerge later in the roleplay. Oh, and one thing is that only one condition has to be fulfilled for victory, loss. IC: Rasil made a quick step over to the bartender and rapped his finger on the desk to get his attention. "What d'ye want?" The bartender asked. "Give me a mug of your best drink!" Rasil exlaimed. The bartender told him to wait and called for Neris to fetch the good stuff. With amazing professional skill, Rasil watched as Neris moved from each table, dropping and picking up mugs, bottles and anything on the table. Neris raced into the kitchen, full of every empty thing imaginable. "She's really good," Rasil said to make small talk. "Aye, she'n be loik a sister t'me." The bartender replied. "So, since this is a bar and all, you must know stuff. Is there any rumors flying about at the moment?" "Not rielly, but I be needin' some 'elpers lately. These bastard kingdoms think they could go 'round and take what they loik! My inn's in peril. I be needin' help from every last one o' ye people that be wantin' money." By then, Naris came out with the "good stuff". Rasil took a sip from the mug. The so called "good stuff" burned his throat and he practically coughed upon the drink. Rasil didn't noticed he was sitting next to Aarrow. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: Hey all! Tommy once again and this time, I'm gonna try to start up an RP! The "Around the Universe for However Long it Takes" RP just wasn't appealing to me due to the zanyness and utterly crazy things that would happen, so I just sorta dropped it. I was never very good at starting RP's in the first place, so if anyone can, please, please analyze my start and tell me what I'm missing/doing wrong. Story: A sprawling, magnificent kingdom rules upon a small continent of Serenity. There lived a prosperous king, his wife, and two sons. Exiles were even accepted within. Everything felt perfect upon this place, and it seemed as though nothing would break the people in two. Until the king died. The king, Lord Granst, took ill at a time of need when a quarrel between the two sons broke out. Lord Granst never decided on who would take the throne of the kingdom, and died before he could make the decision. The oldest son, Lance, thought that he should rule the continent. Gerald, the younger son, though otherwise. Thus, the continent of Serenity was seperated into two by the declaration of the queen, and each son was given a kingdom to rule to their own. But greed still settled over the two sons. After the queens passing, both sons declared war upon each other, and began tearing the people into two, something no one would have expected. Thus started the Destruction of Serenity between the Kingdom of Light (Lance) and the Kingdom of Truth (Gerald). Location: It has been long since the Destruction of Serenity started, and both kingdoms were equally matched. In the middle of the continent lay a mountain range that literally seperated both kingdoms. There was only one pass, the only roadway between the two sides. There is a tavern there, named The Middle Passing. The tavern was Large, with a bar that could fit over 50 at once. The rooms were upstairs, which counted to a total of 30 seperate rooms. The cellars were stocked with more wine and drink than both Kingdoms could drink in a year. The place became popular since so many people traverse through this pass. So this tavern also became a strategical point for both kingdoms. Whoever owned the pub would gain a large advantage due to how it could double as a fort all on it's own. The owner of the inn decided to stay neutral, and did not want to go to either side. And with that, help became a need if the tavern was going to stay neutral. IC: Rasil walked along the major pass of the mountains. He had taken a ship to this continent for luxury... well, really to just wander and steal stuff. He humed a slight tune of joy and happiness. He had come up from Exile, and had lived through a horrifying adventure which could only be called crazy. He wore a gold ring on one of his fingers, a gift that he recieved from a... friend. I'm starting to scare myself! Rasil thought. Come on! A thief doesn't need friends! I just need gold and such... However, it would be nice to see the group again. Oh now look at me! I'm just reminicising! Just focus and look toward the future! He continued down the peaceful pass, as some caravans passed by and maybe a mercenary here and there. Soon, he came upon a large building that jutted out to the pass. He looked at a sign that read "The Middle Passing". Finally! A place where I can wet my lips... Oh, ale and wine, here I come! He marched into the tavern. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Rasil was amazed at the power of the new waveblade he was given. He slashed though a couple skeletons like butter. He managed to stab three shades in one go, and they all dissapated with a scream. Rasil took advantage of this, and proceeded to lay waste to anything in front of him. He just didn't notice how far he got. He had kept hacking away at all the creatures and suddenly found himself near the archers. He waded through the wave of enemies and managed to destory some of the archer force before they ran away. Then it dawned on him: Rasil was in the absolute middle of the enemy force! CURSE MY IDIOCY!! Skeleton captians, greater shades, undead dragons, liches, ghouls, and many other assorted undead were eyeing him rather viciously. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. Rasil raced toward the battle at hand, waveblade in hand. He could only hope that Kel-Aziz would catch up sooner or later. He reached the battle just when it was starting up. Rasil charged in without a second's notice. OOC: OOooooo... Final battle! However, there are still some people behind. Hope they get there in time to enjoy it. Rasil awoke with the sounds of battle in his head; he came up with a start and stopped before tumbling over in a bed. He looked around to see that he was not at the outpost anymore... he was laying in the inn, at one of the rooms he "checked". Hmmm... I hope no one noticed what I- *HACK*COUGH*WHEEZE*HACK* Rasil almost blacked out by a coughing fit. He looked around a little more until he heard a familiar voice. "Your finally awake." He turned his head to see Kel-Aziz awake, very suprisingly, with ef beside him working on potions. "Hey, I thought-" "Yes, we were on the battlefield until the disease took over." Kel-Aziz looked into Rasil's eyes as though a mentor would disapline a deciple. He started, "Namely, you fainted at the top of the outpost, and were brought in before me. I had to do some business," he glanced at the still bloodied waveblades, "before I could not stand anymore. I'm still rather surpised that you were out longer than me." "Wait, who's fighting!?" Rasil spoke with intensity. "Easy... they are just cleaning up the last of this wave of undead. The disease is being cured, too." "WHAT!?" Rasil shouted. He was silenced by ef with a flick of the wrist. Kel-Aziz could only chuckle. There was a small plate beside Rasil. It had a loaf of bread, a small wedge of cheese, and a chicken drum. Rasil took one of his daggers, cut the bread in half, cut off pieces of both cheese and meat, and slapped the whole thing together to make a sandwich. He then tossed it to Kel-Aziz. "You said you wanted something to eat... like a sandwich." Rasil said before Kel-Aziz could ask. Rasil was once again silenced by ef as she has heard enough from him. One scream is enough for this old one, she thought. OOC: Remember that Rasil did NOT hear about the cure from the water well. So of course he was suprised. And yeah, this is after some time has passed, if anyone was wondering. Kel-Aziz might get what Rasil was doing when he tossed the sandwich. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. OOC: I would probably have people that have sworn allegience to the dark arts come, demons (sooner or later), and the largest wave of undead imaginable. Don't forget that mummies could also play a part. Skeleton commander, skeleton archers, the whole skeleton rank... plus, very horrifying events. e.g: some actual character turning into undead. Or just act like an idiot and toss in Nemesis from RE into here. OOC still: Damn you, Kel-Aziz! I can't do anything until I gain consionsness(sp?) again! -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing.
