Option 1: Everyone who reads your post puts in the extra effort required to interpret your illegible writing. Option 2: You put in the extra effort required to make your posts contain correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation, thereby making them easy to read. Assuming you'd like your questions answered quickly, perhaps you'd like to consider Option 2? -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

Any mac running OS X can make PDF files from any program; you can simply choose to print to a file. This means that if you know exactly how something will look printed, you can have it appear that way on any other computer by sharing the PDF file. I use this a lot when I need to email someone a document and I'm not sure if they have the typefaces I'm using. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... quote:I don't know how strict your teacher is about this, but you should be sure to properly cite any source which you use for your paper. Anything which is not common knowledge (and if you're not sure, then it's not) should be referenced: you have to describe where you got it. And not to say that Alec's info isn't reliable, but you might want to look this stuff up in an authoritative source; I don't know if your teacher would give much credence to something cited 1 Kyras, Alec. xxo's account (2475) was also deleted. However, its place in the database has been replaced by something more amusing than some backtrace error. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

I was once deleted too. It sucks (I was 2517). But your loss is worse; I had only had 58 posts at the time of my deletion. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

Yeah, I guess that's true. Well, I can still carry out that plan while I'm getting my MA and PhD. Then, by that time, I'll have proved Riemann's Hypothesis and all the universities will want me. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

I took on the golems at a low level. I didn't bother getting past two stones, as I was playing an agent, but to beat the first two challenges I took advantage of the Battle Beta standing out front. Basically I led the golems out (one at a time, for the second challenge) and let the Beta take care of them. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Well, it's not actually Drakefyre; It's Drakefyre.. Also, Drakfyre pulled it off better. He had a better sig. I'm trying to find Drakfyre's post (I think it was sometime last year, it may or may not have been April 1), but it was part of the purge. Can someone who has the BoE archive from PPP2 try to find it please? (Aran, maybe?) [ Thursday, March 31, 2005 20:33: Message edited by: wz. arsenic ] -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... I mentioned this in my rating at the Lyceum, but I think the Haakai minion of Putidus's should be renamed "Demon," to match with the other creatures in the room. "Haakai" is specific to Jeff's world. Also, if you ever get the chance, the letter graphics would look better set in Roman-style type. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

quote:Basically. I think the lack of a conciousness and awareness is what settles the issue for me personally. In my opinion, going through with an unwanted pregnancy can cause a lot of trauma and stress for the mother. The fetus hardly even has a nervous system by the first trimester; I don't think it counts as a human being. quote:You say life begins; I say that the process of cell division and specialization begins. For the first couple of days, the union of sperm and egg is just a clump of cells. I don't see much difference between it and a piece of my skin except that the blastula has the potential to become something different. quote:First, I assume that by "you" here you mean "the mother" -- I don't claim to have the right myself to destroy someone's fetus. As I said, I think the mother can choose to destroy the fetus if she thinks it would suit her physical or mental health, because I don't think a fetus can be considered a human being. A two year old boy, on the other hand, is much more biologically similar to an adult than a fetus is: a boy has developed organs (with the exception of reproductive ones), and is conscious. I think this also answers your question, Creator. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

quote:Well, that argument happens to be what I believe. I don't believe a fetus in the first trimester can be considered a human being with the same right to well-being as, say, a 17-year old girl. Personally, I think the woman's right to do with her own body as she chooses trumps the right of the unborn fetus every time. Obviously, you think differently. Since neither of us can sway the other, all I can say is I'm glad I don't live in Portugal. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |
