Sorry, Nikki. You're not writing for Nanowrimo.

A shallower person would add,

IMAGE(http://ic1.deviantart.com/fs12/f/2006/320/c/3/Riibu_still_being_false_by_Riibu.jpg)

whereas you described yourself as "Quasimodo crossed with a mauled zebra... with the big pointy teeth."

Edit: Couldn't find the uncaptioned picture anywhere online, and uploading pictures of people without asking strikes me as bad policy.

I remember you. I don't remember what you were like in 2003, but I do remember your name and signature, and I read a few archived threads recently where I think you posted.

Mh. Apart from Dikiyoba, Lenar and Tyranicus, it's like ur-oldbie reunion. All numbers under 3000. I feel like the newbie here. :P

I had a problem with Avernum 3, so I signed up and asked about it in Tech Support.

After that, summer was coming and I had lots of time. I had a few questions about BoE, and eventually I took part in a roleplay. By then, I'd been here several months, so I just stuck around.

Edit: A *really* rudimentary word count I just did on the PPP database suggests that I may have written more than one million words on this forum. It counts signatures and stuff, though, so it's a bad estimate.

It's relative and personal. I feel I would have less trouble getting along with TM than either of these two.

Of course, I have recently concluded that I'm an obnoxious loon, so my scale shouldn't be applied by others.

The question, then, is where the true trolls actually come from. I agree - they're not the same as the game noobs.

Take this Tech Support topic with two (fairly benign) posts by Eraser Head.

Strikes me as a literate, if immature and spiteful individual. No comparison with hostile oldbies like TM, or even UA or Ed Lemur, but far removed from Ed.

Unless Ed was acting, of course.

Honestly, you all went wrong when you dropped inflections from English. The end result is that when you do try to use them, you have to work out where they belong. :P

But it's very easy really - just pronounce verbs with a lisp. If it ends in 's', it should end in 'th'. Not otherwise.

It was 3 and 3 about 9:30. It's true then that our gender ratio varies depending on the time of day.

Dikiyoba.

So we all turn into women in the morning?

An interesting if somewhat disturbing concept.

I bought either BoE or BoA without a CD or hintbook (I'll have to check the CD when I get home). If I hadn't bought the other Blades game at the same time with a CD, I wouldn't have needed to give a shipping address, as I got the code by email.

However, I used PayPal, and I don't know if you can do it with a credit card or similar.

If your optimal way of payment isn't listed, be sure to ask by email.

But favicon derives from Internet Explorer, where bookmarks are known as favorites - thus fav. icon. Because that's what it's for - distinguishing bookmarks. A more browser-politically correct term is shortcut icon.

( :P )

Jokes aside, it actually *does* make a difference. IE insists on using a default path, /favicon.ico, for its icons. The <link rel="shortcut icon" /> tag is not respected. The result is that my error logs get filled with 404'd requests for /favicon.ico.

And I rewrote the PPP's parser this weekend and integrated the site with Drupal.

Didn't "all-around" refer to Blades in general?

Otherwise, it'd be quite funny to be listed as his favorite designer when he didn't even play any custom scenarios...

TM would be ecstatic. :P
