It's amazing, I read that last sentence and nearly died laughing.

What's with people always thinking these boards are dying? Start a (good) RP, you'll see how many posts can be made in a day.

That's probably because we are tired of discussing the same exact things over and over.

Something original would be welcome.

Interesting.

I only play two genres as well, FPSs (first-person-shooters) and RPGs. So obviously, shooters with RPG elements (character interaction, stats-driven gameplay) rock my world. No One Lives Forever 2 comes to mind...

I like my shooters to be bright and inventive, though I've never turned down a Quake or Doom. It should be noted I don't mean ONLY first-person... third person shooters/hack&slashes/action are also loved.

I like my RPGs to have lots of character development, both in how I can customize my PC, and how the NPCs evolve. Greatest example in mind? KoToR. Even though it suffers from console-itus, and you can't customize your look very much (or species!), it does the job well. Exile worked my imagination so well those many years ago, so it deserves praise for hooking me on RPGs.

Otherwise, I've played RT/TB-Ss, 'sims, and sports games... but I still love my RPGs and shooters.

Wow, that was off topic.

But I won't go there...

I'm not the biggest fan of the Hitman series. Sure, it had its highs, but it had some serious design flaws that just seemed too obvious to overlook.

It's very sad that I said basic (i.e... not UnrealEngine). I also don't recall saying he should move to 3D with Genoforge 3.

To avoid such... misunderstandings... again: soon=future projects.

Why can we talk about politics and not games? This topic is perfectly useful to me.

I love the first, and second has me very excited. I hear the new item system will kick us in the balls, so I just can't wait. The Dark Side will not tempt me again!

I'd imagine it would be the same in other languages, but leaving out commas in English is a bad idea. They are important in keeping information straight, and ignoring their use can result in many different understandings of what you may have possibly meant.

Eh... I'm too tired to think of some examples.

I hate you.

I wish I had a scanner, or a digital camera at least. I was dressed up as a Jedi today for an English project. I actually got in trouble for the lightsaber hilt... and had it tooken away.. Needless to say, my school system is run by Adolf Hitler himself.

My dad said he was going to get a digital camera for work, so I'll ask him about that and see what the deal there is.

Images: It's hard for me, despite the fact that I like to think of myself as at least moderately talented at drawing, to translate images in my head onto paper. So usually, I can use words to bring it to life.

Words: It's easier for me here, as I can just translate and elaborate. Words->Images never held much purpose in my line of life.

They can't attack you, so it's pretty useless.

If they were smart, they'd be buffing themselves during the few rounds you were incapacitated. Sadly, they aren't. At least I've never seen it.

Even with those things, he should still consider moving to at least a very basic 3d engine soon. Seen that free MMORPG, Runescape? And engine like that would work fine.

I don't see why not... well I do, but I think it might be worth it. I've spoken with several people over the last few years that have heard of Spiderweb games, but were turned off the dated visuals, regardless of the gameplay elements. While most of us aren't so shallow, we do still like to look at our games...
