For those of you who work with the BoA graphics: Have you noticed that the BoA wall seem to be a few pixels off? If you examine the walls in-game there is slight gap between walls causes seeming drop. Also, the corner walls are off. I'm trying to fix it by making correct template (rather than copying the non-white space of a default wall) and by using the templates I get perfect walls in PS for straight runs, but not using the L corners (using a |_ configuration is fine), but not in-game. Has anyone found a way to fix this? -------------------- My ego is bigger than yours. Posts: 480 | Registered: Thursday, October 11 2001 07:00 |

For those of you who weren't at the chat last night I mentioned that I working on a 1/10 to honor the more interesting events/things from the BoE era. Specifically I will have towns and people to represent/talk about these things as well a plot (vacation on Exile Island. THE adventurer getaway) to tie them together and explain why your party is there. Currently I trying to compile a list of characters and notable things about those people. Please help by adding your comment, people, memories. --- --- Also the towns will be: Inn of Blades (R&R) Bizzare Bazaar (Items) -- Troupe (1 Act a Day) Ankronath Arena (Fight or watch a fight) -- Underground (Level 2) Crystal Cavern (Local Nightclub, Vahnatai) Scenario University (Same as website) -- Tower of Magi Redux (X has his anvil spell!) -- Library/Reading Room (Fanfics, Poems) #exilechat (Meeting of the BoE community) --- Please add, change, correct. This is suppossed to remind those who never knew about what BoE was about and what made it fun. Hm, I was think that the person would have to make 2 or more. Short stories using the same plot thread/universe but not be consecutive. Example: Scenario#1 - Meet a new species Scenario#2 - 5 years later you are fighting a pitched battle for survival Scenario#3 - Rebuild a small town in the aftermath of the war. All three deal with the same thing, but the PARTY is different each time. The designer would sumbit all three and recieve an averaged score. Or we can just require short scenarios. Edit: I said no continuations because then that would simply be a single scenario broken into multiple parts rather than each scenario standing on its own as part of a greater. Edit2: Or, we can pick a universe/thread and require everyone to make a short scenario revolving around that idea. All scenario ideas would have to be posted to the judge for review (to make sure it fits) before being created. Short Story Contest. 3 scenarios total, each having no more than 4 outdoor and 10 towns. All scenarios must exist within the same universe/plot thread, but not be continuations of each other (no chapter 1/2/3). The idea is to tell a full story, but by using short stories. Allows for dimension. -------------------- My ego is bigger than yours. Posts: 480 | Registered: Thursday, October 11 2001 07:00 |

You may be able to for the Mac. The sheets are 1650 to 1680. I beleive that if you number your .cmg file with same numbers it would override the defaults. Haven't tried it though. -------------------- My ego is bigger than yours. Posts: 480 | Registered: Thursday, October 11 2001 07:00 |

Graphics Bug: Sheet 657 (Outdoor Cliff) The cliff graphics is too big and may cause stray pixels if use as an indoor cliffside. Easy to fix. Well the problem is that when the 3D editor was written it was based of the v1.1 of the BoA Engine. v1.1 worked. version 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 do not. Also the idea behind having the floor adjusted is that you can make a high high bridge over water or anything. But in order to connect the two ends you need to be the same height or have a series of stairs. Height was the better option. You make the height match the edges, and then lower the floor to match the sides (lower height). Then you placed a terrain over the floor and raised it the same # of pixels as you dropped the floor. This allowed me to make a more 3D environment. -------------------- My ego is bigger than yours. Posts: 480 | Registered: Thursday, October 11 2001 07:00 |

I haven't played Fallout, but I envision a circle for the default attack or spell being used which shows what can be hit using your current AP (movement + action cost). -------------------- My ego is bigger than yours. Posts: 480 | Registered: Thursday, October 11 2001 07:00 |

As long as there is a range indicator for movement and spells, I'm happy. My problem sometimes was being .1 AP away from a melee attack because the enemy was just out of range. Perhaps if I knew that first things would be less annoying. -------------------- My ego is bigger than yours. Posts: 480 | Registered: Thursday, October 11 2001 07:00 |

Well, I haven't used BoA since this spring. Then it was good. Now.... The problem may not exist in v1.0.0. So if anyone has it, please check.
