Queer. Is this a Windows only bug? For I think I have encountered it on my Mac as well. And why does the .sav extension go away? Oh, and welcome to Spiderweb. Please leave your sanity at the door. You are most likely highly encumbered. Check the "Carrying x out of y lbs." on the inventory screen. If x ≥ y, you are encumbered and require to either rid yourself of junk or buy more defense skill. -------------------- Feel free to rate my karma. Please. Beta calls will appear on the news page when A5 is close to finished. You have a better chance of being accepted if you gave some prior experience. I as well wish to test. The only experience I've had was beta testing a scenario by Enraged Slith and I've had some programming experience. I wonder if I'll get accepted this time... Edit: Ugh! You beat me orange[s]! I've also noticed that an hintbook is no longer sold for BoE! I guess that makes me special, for I have one. quote:Good idea, but I don't think it could happen easily. Plus, you would need a surround sound system for your computer, wouldn't you? I don't think music is best suited to Spiderweb games. As long as there are nice, realistic background sounds. If you were really desperate, you could always make a funky series of GarageBand BGMs... Anyway, I can see why some would like it or dislike it. And there's always the matter of if the music is good in our opinion...after all, it's up to Jeff what the music is if he decides there to be music at all. -------------------- "The mouth is like the city gate. I'm always a bit surprised at harsh criticism (heck, any criticism involving graphics) towards Spiderweb's games. Personally, I just don't understand what the deal is with the graphics! They add a nice touch to the games and give it a nice, retro-y feel. The current graphics (A4 and GF4) are excellent, wonderful, and pretty in my opinion. Perhaps I just haven't experienced "Hard Core RPG's" but I'm guessing they don't have moral dilemmas, a deep and involved story, or any of the other things that make me love games created by Spiderweb Software. Or perhaps I'm just the harsh critic! :P Originally written by Iffy: quote:Ugh! I've noticed! Will A5 keep the save slots? It might be a bit much to ask, but they annoy people. I think the easiest incarnation of the saving system is the N:R one, where they automatically direct themselves to an auto-made folder. Very easy and fast. I know that it is probably a trouble to script this, but it is just a little something I wanted back, along with a few others in a recent topic. -------------------- "The mouth is like the city gate. Battle Omega, huh? Don't worry, I don't blame you for the typo. I wonder what that would look like...perhaps an Omega on his chest? I love Omegas. I'm surprised to see that so many people love the Awakened. I like them too, but this is interesting. If there was a sect similar to the G2 Takers made up of creations/serviles only but had more Awakened-like views, they would be like me because I really love creations and I'm always wanting them to be free. Did anyone else get Aran's Infiltrator joke? [ Monday, August 13, 2007 05:27: Message edited by: Die Kasecuchen ] -------------------- "The mouth is like the city gate. quote:I am constantly doing this, because to me, there are limitless possibilities: different types of parties, singletons, torment, completing all the side quests in existence, exploring every explorable pixel, the list goes on. And, if you get tired of that, there's always Nethergate, Geneforge, BoA/BoE, even the Exile series is a satisfying new experience compared to the other games. Besides, it gives you a little insight into the humble beginnings of Spiderweb Software. There are practically 14 engines to play here. To me, an engine isn't just the basic functions, but the minute details like how you pick up items, the arrangement of the buttons, things like that. Personally, I find it nearly impossible to get bored of Spiderweb games. Sure, the A4 engine is a slight disappointment to some (I think it's fine), but it is a great game. Some people just can't get over the graphics but they are the best I could hope for. I am greatly looking forward to A5 and G5 and whatever else the future may hold. -------------------- "The mouth is like the city gate. DMG is arguably the best form of compression (or whatever disk images are) but .zip is the most convenient for porting and such. Of course, those gzipped tarballs are probably plotting our downfall as we type. -------------------- "The mouth is like the city gate.
