What random encounters? I don't recall any 'random' encounters in or around the Golem Factory.

About the rod of safe descent--

In the first Celt dungeon, what is at the bottom of the abyss in the deep pits?

Heh. I guess I don't have very much magic skill right now but I'll have to start working Kirian a bit harder. I'm pretty much set for roman training and the like. Well, here goes nothing...<loads game>

They have to die? How sad! I love that community! It is a perfect example of one of the reasons why I have a passionate love of creations. VERY passionate. They are treated so poorly. I hope I get to see more intelligent creations that can talk and tell you of their daily troubles. I love creations.

I decided to try a Roman Singleton (and a Celt, but that's off topic) but don't know what I should do about Druidism. Is it worth it? Or should I just ignore spells?

Exile Series remake! in General

I wasn't disregarding the Exile series! I LOVE the old Exile games! Sadly, they have fallen into desrepair on my computer because of the exotic other applications interfering sort of problem that I can't figure out how to fix.

A remake of Exile would mean a new life of all those awesome spells and features; being a masochist and
quote:
using kill on chickens
, making yourself invulnerable and casting quickfire to fill a hostile area, maybe even killing non-essential walls...like to get to secret treasure and the like...you never know...

I think I see what you were getting at with destroying walls. You could create a new class of wall that could be destroyed by a certain spell/weapon or whatever. Like needing a hammer or a pick to destroy walls, thus giving eye-candy items a purpose. (I say eye-candy because they aren't really necessary to the game, they just add the reality of the game, i.e. hammers, tongs, pinchers in forges). This would add secret areas and some more depth to the game.

In conclusion, wall destroying would be cool, but would require some specific script implementaion. And yes, I always remember the Exile series. Always.

I may be a 'stupid' noob, but I have something to add. I am trying HARD to not be stupid so I will eventually earn a place in this community. Firstly, you rule Kel. Thanks for that. Secondly, most people are good to me despite by state of noobness. Thirdly, (sorry (noun)king!) I get picked on for having random ideas or questions about strange things. M., I aggree with you. Randomizer, you have a good point. Hooray for Elitism!

I don't think that will ever happen just for the sake of getting along. No cause is lost when there is but one eccentric, crazed rebel remaining, which there will always be.

EDIT: Wow! Quite a versatile philosophy elitism is! Strangely, I hadn't heard of it until today. But I am slightly strange...

Yes, if it's free.

I'm afraid I am not too much of a cheater. I would not pay just to cheat. As you may notice, an editor has already been created. Look at the top of the A4 forum on the inside.

Are you getting ideas? Bad ideas?

Before this thing gets purged, if you like the EV series and GC, try Ares a game which is waaaaaay ahead of it's time in terms of how great I think it is, especially the fact that Hera lets you do anything you want with all the code layed out for you to expand Ares to it's limit with scenarios. VERY GOOD GAME!

MOSEH FREEZE CURSE in Geneforge 4: Rebellion
Warrior
Member # 8872

Fear not, it is not a curse. I know Spiderweb would never even attempt to implement a virus within their games to harm you. Did you try to enter his bunker from the inside of the bunker complex or the outside? Inside, you must click on the door. I don't think you can initially enter from the outside. If you move the cursor over the inside door, the door should highlight in the manner of an ordinary door. Click on it to enter the infamous Bunker of Moseh.

EDIT: The freeze problem could be related to having an intel mac and not using the universal application. One of the game icons has parentheses holding Universal. If you haven't already, start using that one.

Chinamericanking-

I don't even remember quite what I was going at, because that was sort of a stream of consienceness post and Nethergate was in my head, and thus spawned that idea of a counterpart. I think the whole creation center idea was more like a small place in some big towns where you could purchase short-term creations that dissappeared at a certain point becuase their essence would give out. Somewhat like an unstable creation, but longer-lasting and without the extreme power.

Dikiyoba-

Maybe I was wrong about batons. I guess that I don't really care about missile weapons and dexterity as much unless I'm an Infiltrator, which I have played through with twice. I should try a third time with a baton based character, but I'll have to wait to get home to my computer.

Back to G5 ideas:

What is the deal with batons anyway? Somewhere it says that they are can be a powerful weapon in the hands of a well trained guardian, but I have always found melee(spelling?) weapons to be much better; they are even better than the reaper baton to me! Batons may be nice, but they really do need more depth, like the stat boost already mentioned.

Anyway, I would like to see:

1. Perhaps a few Xian/Sylak-like items.

2. The ability to possibly find wild creations in their own community; being either hostile or friendly. These could sometimes be contained within towns, sort of like a convoluted orphanage where you could pay the keeper of the creations to have one in your party. The creations within could all slightly differ (in level, color, or the way that things like Greenfang are different than an artila you just made) and would have different creations depending on where the town is (i.e. if it was a swamp, there would be worms, roamers and the like). Just so you know, this is my most far-fetched idea, but it is a possibility.

3. Your equivalent on the other side attacking you at certain points in the game, like what would be you if you were on the other side.

Aaaaahhhhh! I don't get it! Jewels and Jewel appear to be the same person! Are you? This is too confusing...

Anyway, I think this devotion to the deathmatch may become an obsession if you let it. It is a cool idea and a nice site. I like it, for one. BTW, are the pictures on the deathmatch cards just random pictures?

I also prefer fire and magic: usually kyshakks and glaahks for me! It is a bit messed up because Kyshakk seems like more of a magic creation while the Glaahk functions as a battle one would. I think they complement each other nicely.

Sorry for my lack of specific knowledge, but...

Remember that one door that you need 3 shards of some sort of crystal to open in the taker lands? All I remember is that the first area beyond the door is filled with rotdhizions, eyebeasts, and the like. I was wondering where the pieces to open the door are (I got in once, but forgot the location of all shards) and what the areas inside are. I don't have access to Geneforge 2 right now, but this has been nagging at me for a while. Your help is appreciated.
