Yeah, this is really quite worthless, especially since no one has been able to demonstrate that Radiance actually has any observable effect against undead.

I made it as a no-magic singleton because I needed the resistances, although when I wasn't fighting enemies that used fire or magic attacks I'm pretty sure I switched back to the Girdle of Endurance.

(It's also one of the earliest artifacts you can make. Depending on your perspective, that's either an advantage or a trap.)

Are you sure there isn't a secret passage in the cave wall? There usually is, in cases like that.

Not very. It's possible on Torment difficulty, but hard (especially for Romans). Of course, if you're playing as a singleton you're probably doing it partly for the challenge anyway.

Also, is it actually possible to complete the game in "two weeks"? It seems impossible.
It's really not that hard if you don't waste time. Don't rest outdoors, don't do things that the game says will take a lot of time, and whatever you do make sure you get the shroom charm from Morog.

Also, does Koth the Dragon require all 3 special items to let you through his castle, because I had two of them and I was forced to fight and kill him anyway.
You only need one of them (although you can get extra rewards for giving him more than one). Did you actually offer the item to him?

Correlation is not causation: if you actually read the study itself, you'll realise that all it found was that obesity tends to cluster in social groups. This could simply be because people with similar habits and traits tend to associate with each other.

That's kinda hard to do, since most prophecies tend not to come with time limits. Matthew 16:28 is a bit of an embarrassment, though, unless you believe in the Wandering Jew.

For one thing, it would suggest that perhaps it's easier to make a few lucky guesses than you would have us believe.

Replace the words "intelligence" and "mindless" with words pertaining to some other property, like "solidity" and "non-solid", and you'll see how vacuous your argument is. If you pour liquid nitrogen into water, the water will freeze solid. If liquid matter can confer the quality of solidity to other matter, then why can't mindless matter confer the quality of intelligence to other matter?

This counterargument goes back as far as Aristotle's time, by the way (although, of course, they didn't have liquid nitrogen back then). It really would do you good to get acquainted with some actual philosophy.

Ah, but you're still relying on the assumption that universal unity is good! God's existence does not automatically make that assumption true, and therefore you're appealing to a morality independent of God. How would you argue that God was the source of all moral authority to someone who believed that universal unity was a bad thing?

Well, lots of Christians refer to God as Jehovah. He's also professed annihilationism, though, which is a doctrine that tends to be associated specifically with Jehovah's Witnesses.

I don't always know when I'm trolling either. Does it matter? An idea is an idea, whether the person proposing it sincerely believes it or not.

What you have described so far is not what I said – that power gives one the right to do something.
"Everything exists because of his will" implies "he could will everything to not exist", does it not? In other words, you're saying that God's moral authority derives from his power to destroy the universe on a whim. If that's not fascist, I don't know what is.

Everyone is involved in politics. It's not something you can opt out of. To the extent that your actions affect other people, your actions are political.

When there are Dominionist Christians out there who still want to see adulterers stoned to death, we have to take these things seriously whether we would like to or not. I've received threats in the past from Christians who objected to certain of my political activities, so this is something that hits a little close to home for me.

Um, you might want to read the forum description again. This is a forum for technical problems with Spiderweb Software games, not a general-purpose tech support forum.

Now, there are a lot of very friendly and computer-literate folks here, so you might get a response anyway. But don't count on it.

Justifying copyright law in terms of some notion of natural intellectual property rights is dicey at best, for reasons including but not limited to the ones you point out. Therefore, the justification normally used is basically a utilitarian one, similar to that given for patents: if the first person to come up with an idea isn't given the exclusive right to profit from it, people will be less inclined to come up with new ideas.

On the other hand, people still produced great works of art before copyright existed, so the utilitarian justification is dicey too.

Maybe in the post-copyright era we need to see a return to the concept of patronage, where the fabulously wealthy pay artists to create art for themselves and let everyone else have access to it. There are certainly enough fabulously wealthy people and enough aspiring artists to make the system viable.
