Reputation has been nixed. Though I would've thought it would have been neat to see reputation carry over from scenario to scenario...

Often times, concerning software, Mac versions of it do exist, it just that you'll be hard pressed to find any of it in a store (unless it's an Apple Store). You'll probably want to shop for the software online. The only real difference is the shipping cost of the items you purchase (like everything else you buy online, of course).

I would think that you would be able to program scripts on custom monsters so as to have them behave in a coordination that you see fit. At least, that's the impression that I've been getting...

Well, I wasn't originally going to post but then someone noted that the presence of bisexual men was rather obscure. Well then.. I guess I'll answer question 3 first

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual

I think that there are probably more of them out there than just myself. It's just that, I think that they feel more comfortable expressing themselves as heterosexual because that is socially acceptable and they probably feel that if they express any part of themselves that likes other men than they run the understandable (and likely) risk of simply being considered homosexual. And that is on top of a lot of men's concerns with retaining masculinity (that is, being considered gay).
Anyway, on with the rest of this...

Gender: Male
Age: 19
Marital Status: Single
Education: High School + 1 year of college (currently enrolled)
City/Metropolitan Area: 1.5 hours south of Boston, 30 minutes north of Providence, 40 minutes east of Worcester.
Racial/Ethnic Orgin: Caucasian (No, I'm not from the Caucasus Mountains, the origin of the word). I am, ethnically, Norwegian, Greek, French, English, Hungarian (Jew), a snippet of Irish, and probably a bunch of bits of other things. Supposedly my Greek family (at least the name) was originally from Spain, but all of the Spanish blood was "married out" of the name.
Nationality:
First/Primary Language: English (I also know some French, but that was not the question).
Religeon: None, as agnosticism is not a religeon.
Spidweb-er?: Since the orginal release of Exile 2, with the simple (yet still effective) graphics of Exile 1.

"Are you an Eskimo?": No, I am not an Inuit.

Will there be some sort of "script checker" to make sure that you didn't leave out something silly or perhaps misplaced or mispelled an operative word (or left out a semi-colon or some such thing)?

Only for us scripting-inept people, of course. ;)

I always thought it was intersting how the AI could be pretty dumb at times. Plus, i remeer in BoE wanting to limit the enemey to certain spells or give them access to others. The spell level was very ... vague, i suppose. Didn't give you much control of what they would do.

Make kills from your summons give you experience? in Blades of Avernum

So, basically you want it to be like FFTactics where you got exp from everything? You got it practically by moving (and there are abilities where that is possible).

That would certainly be interesting, possibly more realistic, but I don't know if it's feasable for the game engine. Yes? no?

Although, spell percent-to-succeed would be neat.

It's pretty easy. On a Mac, use ResEdit. Open up the graphics file with ResEdit and open up the pic resource inside. Then just find what you need and copy. Paste it into a graphics program and save. :D

They miss a lot though, even if you aim correctly. Skill would not be able to correct this much.

A status I would want to see to be set on certain monsters is "Creature flys". I always thought it was weird fighting with bats who were blocked by tables and book shelves and chasms and such. The ability "Creature Flys" could be used so that nothing short of a wall/barrier could block them. Same would go for some of the undead apparitions and such. Ofcourse, maybe I'm just being picky.

Music... in Blades of Avernum

I just listen to cds and stuff. I change the song when I go to different places.
I have a couple of video game mixes and some soundtracks that i like. for instance, in A2, I listened to "Chronopolis" whenever I was in the main caves. Which was a lot so it repeated a lot. But now whenever I hear the song by itself I think of A2. It was very accurate.
I listen to "Gerudo Valley" if I'm on the surface in A3 and to a mix of the original Metroid theme if I'm in Upper Avernum.
I listened to salsa music when i fought all those gremlins to get the rose :P
I have songs for every occasion. I like picking my own. :)

For simplicity's sake, they can't make several versions of each race showing different levels of strengths. Obviously, not EVRY townsperson is going to have, what, 4 hp? 6? There have been descriptions of NPCs that go along the lines of "you wouldnt want to get in a rumble with him/her" etc. I don't think that every nephilim is crushingly weak. I bet that there are nephilim that are stronger than a really strong slith. And so on and so forth. However, in the games, the nephil were practically the first thing you met up with to fight. You think that if you met them late in the game, that they would still have 15-50 hp or so? no way! The point is, that for game balance, the overall strength and weakness of a particular race has to be exaggerrated.

As for guards in a town, their strength is super exagerrated so that you don't DO anything like, ohh... steal or kill anyone. Without serious retribution, of course. So, realistically speaking, even if a nephil civilian is doomed to the wrath of a dervish, in 'real life' terms, that same dervish is dead if there are 4 or five of them. 4-5 townspeople could gang up on one person like that with similar results. (the reason that people DON'T, even under extreme opression, is due to individual fear. one, 2, or even 3 of those nephil are going to die or be mamed against a fully armed dervish).

However, if you only take into account the "statistics" of the game engine, then yes, one dervish could prolly take out an entire COUNTRY of the nephilim/nepharim. But, obviously that's not realistic.

It should be pointed out, for accuracy's sake, that the Sliths in New Formello didn't want to be there. They were not suited for the work and it was too cold. Even after you get rid of the chitrach infestation, the captain there is still reluctant to get the proper supplies and the sliths resent it even more. SOo... Anyway, I thought taht that should be pointed out, since it was mentioned.
