I have to agree with Randomizer: even if you believe that you aren't necessarily ultimately in control of your own actions, you are still the one who performs them, and must take responsibility for them.
Personally, I put the "I'm not responsible" response on par with that of the average Nazi.

I'll use the editor if I find that I have saved in an impossible situation.
I have, on occasion, recreated parties from the end of A1 and A2 in A2 and A3, respectively, just to see how high-level and experienced characters would take the continuing storyline.
Suffice to say, Torment is usually a piece of cake if you start out with a lv. 35 party.

Out here, the soda is healthier than most of the water, alas.
Which is why I buy my water bottled.
But I too have a tendancy for a cup or two of Dr. Pepper with most non-breakfast meals.

--------------------
The Silent Assassin believes that if he can distill soda to a precise concentration, he can use the syruppy goodness to scare all of the rodents out of the backyard.
Of course, all of his experimenting has given us an insect problem, and we all know how he loes to deal with those...

It's amazning what someone can make oneself do when one is procrastinating.
Behold, the second installment of SpiderwebWear:

As per Nalyd's request:

This one I couldn't resist doing, though it needs work.

And now in a light color shirt, just for D:

Yes, the font used is MaidenWord.
I figure we could slap the Spiderweb logo onto the back, to (partially) clarify things

I'm looking into maybe putting together a Geneforge line (Fyora mugs, deff), but I really don't know too much about the series.

I was kinda hoping to see more ideas, guys!

Ooh! I'd wear a fluffy turtle t-shirt!
I'd also wear a shirt that says "You're Cute" with spiders on it.
I also tend to wear odd t-shirts.

I've never met anyone in real life, though I had been tempted to track down Tyran a few times.
Strange as the trend sounds, we have an Aran look-alike on campus, though I've never spoken to him.

And yes, oddly enough, I too dwell in Ohio; for most of the year, anyway. Kinda mid-southwest... I'm an hour east of Dayton, fifteen minutes south of Springfield.

He'll be back.

A good villain is all but immortal. He must come back because the audience begins to like his character and even slightly sypathize with his antagoinistic cause.
And when the writer runs out of ideas, a good villain goes out in style, being destroyed in some memorably novel fashion, or can only go when the hero faces his greatest fear and conquers it, or taking out a large clump of people with him, or (in the case of a particularly good character) sacrifices himself in some sort of bizarre grandiose, all-but-out-of-character action that saves the hero and the universe and makes you wonder if everyone misunderstood the villain's motives all along, until, of course, the hero inevitibly springs the trap that the villain left behind for him.

This exit just wasn't big enough to be Tully's final curtain.

The Silent Assassin wants to go out with a THWOP.

Oldbiehood in General
Lifecrafter
Member # 6700

I think that oldbiehood comes in a series of relative, ever-increasing number of levels, generated by the time span in which one joins, and the time span in which one posts.
Assuming that you go active as soon as you join, people who join and are active in a span of time before you are oldbier than you. People who join before you but go active after you are generally as oldbie as you, if not less so. Those who join after you... well, you get the idea.
Furthermore, there are sub-levels of oldbiehood, which are determined by the contribution both in quantity and quality of said posts and the commnuity reputation that someone gains over time. Higher postage and higher quality postage and high community opinion all raise someone up within a chronological level of olbiehood over a person who, say, posts once a week and only spams when doing so. No posting proceeds in a sever drop in sub-levels, perhaps even past a lower level.
Now, the upper sub-levels of a level of oldbiehood may cross the lower levels of a higher chronological level of oldbiehood, so that people with bad reputation or low postage rates are not necessarily considered as oldbie-ish as people who join after them and post quality material all of the time.

Hmm. This could seriously use some form of visual aid.

--------------------
The Silent Assassin has your visual aid right here.

Weather in General

Well, let's see here...
Just south of Springfield, OH:
Due to "blizzard conditions" our school closed for the first time in seven years.
It wasn't really blizzard conditions; both maintenance and the county road crews simply don't know how to clean up sleet (let alone the icy build-up it results in), and so school was closed due to accessibility and the fact that professors couldn't get to campus.
When it finally stopped snowing, we estimated the average depth not on a walkway to be about six to seven inches, including an average layer of ice about an inch thick two thirds of the way down. The largest drift my group of friends has found is in one of the dorm courtyards and is about three feet deep.
Sidewalks and roads had roughly an inch to an inch and a half of ice on them, covered with snow and sleet.
Today's weather was sunny, in the mid-20s; tonight, it will drop down to low single digits, refreezing the heavily salted ice/slush on our sidewalks, which will make them a slipping hazard in the morning.

--------------------
The Silent Assassin has begun an elaborate secret tunnel system under the snow outside the bunker.
I'm not quite sure why he wants to build tunnels only big enough to fit rodents and small cats, but questioning rarely gets me anywhere.

I'm kind of a 1, kind of a 3, but probably more a 1 than a 3.

The Silent Assassin is a 4.
Sorta.
Technically, he believes himself to be a 6: a member of the community who doesn't have an account, never posts, never gets involved, and still somehow gets name recognition.

I wonder what would happen to said name recognition if I dropped this little segment from the posts.

I think Andraste has said it best.
After all, attention, time spent together, and a little communication never hurt a good relationship.

Hope you guys are enjoying the snow. Judging from the weather reports, you guys weren't hit as bad by the sleet as we were out in Springfield, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to go visiting.

I, meanwhile, am marooned on campus, as the local plow and salting crews have yet to figure out that it's a very bad idea to attempt to simply plow through an inch of solid ice.
The snow-covered sidewalks are safer to drive on than the roads at this point.
And in terms of Valentine's Day, well... long-distance relationships are worse than being single on days like today.

The Silent Assassin sent out valentines today.
I hope he remembers to give one to me.
That would make it two years running.

I first happened across the forums when looking for information that would allow me to best choose what BoA scenarios to play. Though I did not register an account, I did find some very useful information, and recognized the game forums as a potential resource.

I came back about a year later when my brother and I decided that we wanted to try our collective hand at scenario writing.

Our first post was in Thralni's topic on Nephilian, recommending that alongside of grammar, he should consider the cultural and historical context of a language.
Not knowing what I'd done, we delved a little deeper into the community.
The rest is all but history.

The Silent Assassin wanted us to join the forums just so that he could find out how Exile 2 ended.
