If Dikiyoba recalls correctly, it's somewhere behind the big pillar in the center of the room. Move your mouse slowly and watch for the highlighted lever to show up. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Looks like the number of targets a level 2 or 3 repel spirit or smite spell can hit is 1 + B/4, where B is your priest spells skill plus half of your intelligence. Does your hedge wizard have higher priest skills or intelligence (possibly through items)? The only other possibility Dikiyoba can think of at the moment is that your priest only has those spells at level 1 for some reason. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Meh. Training only plays a small part in creating an engaging story. Aside from reading other people's work and practicing, there's no formula. That said, I don't like the series at all. Eragon was okay, just not very orginal. But Eldest was flat-out bad, primarily because it was boring. Heroic main characters should not sit around for an entire book and let themselves be upstaged by their peasant brother. Dikiyoba recently killed an afternoon by reading Extreme Measures by Michael Palmer. Not a showstopper, but well worth the lost afternoon. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

1. What is your favorite with-the-shapers character? Alwan. 2. What is your favorite Rebel Character? Pol. 3. What faction do you agree with most? The human and servile rebels. 4. What is your favorite spell? Mass energize. 5. What is your favorite creation? Fyora. 6. How would you rate this game from 1-10? Eight. Dikiyoba didn't like Burwood, so it gets marked down because of that. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Except that celebratory milestones only come once in a while and can be easily ignored. No. 1. The pirate would likely be drunk, give away his position by saying "Arrr!" a lot, and be missing either an eye, hand, or leg. Ninja. 2. I lack a good reason to declare a winner here. Sorry. 3. It depends. If the Shaper knows the battle is coming, then he can create extra creations, buff them up, and easily win. If the Shaper gets ambushed, then he's toast. 4. A knight's armor kept them pretty safe. The samurai's weapon might be able to get past it, but the knight had a lance and lots of jousting practice. Knight. 5. Aztecs needed lots of prisoners to sacrifice, so would be inclined to capture instead of kill. Celts had no such inclination. Celt. Dikiyoba. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I always name my creations. (Incidentally, I always try to keep them alive throughout the entire game, too.) On my last complete playthrough, I had Wildfyre the fyora, Frostbyte the cryoa, Foamy the roamer, Fyrestorm the drayk, Blyzzard the cryodrayk, Lyghtning the kyshakk, and Global Warming the drakon. Dikiyoba only chose Global Warming because Dikiyoba was at a loss for another name that fit the pattern. Any suggestions? -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I hope the Shock Trooper stays, actually. Even on torment, I didn't have much trouble with it. And it's fun! Not that Dikiyoba would complain if it got a bonus or boost. :P -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I found the Avernum 2 demo on a MacAddict CD, eventually registered it, and played it a squillion times. Eventually I bought G1, G2, and BoA. Then, one day, while Dikiyoba was checking for any new scenario or game releases, Dikiyoba decided to look at the forums to see what people could possibly have to say about the games all the time. Well! It turns out that unsellable trowels were just the beginning. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Remember, in order to stay on the Empire's side, you have to check with the shade beneath Willow (at least, Dikiyoba thinks Willow is the right town) before carrying out any of the rebel's requests. But if the shade tells you to do something, you have to do it. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Check how much weight your party members are carrying. If they are carrying too much, they will be encumbered and lose action points, making them useless in combat. Dikiyoba. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

This was linked to sometime before (and since I had time on my hands and was exceptionally bored then, I read them). They're okay (with the exception of Mara's Tale or whatever it's called, which is completely awful). Sure, there are a few good parts, but they are canceled out by bad or stupid parts, and what's left is so basic and so faithful to the games that it's better to go play the games or pick out a different book than to read them. Dikiyoba. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba's only advice is to make it short. It saves you a lot of work and people will probably be more likely to play it. 3-5 towns, not 20. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba thinks the only piece of equipment you can't unequip in battle is actual armor. Boots, jewelry, shields, etc. can be removed in combat. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
