yes, its the players loss, but would you be happy if you've worked very hard on a scenario, only to see most people avoid it because of a pre-fab party? (Well, I would give it a try, but chances are big I would avoid it too). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I'm sorry to say I myself have just proven not to have much imagination. Of course, an alien lifeform has probably something else than a brain to think with. Now I don't really believe that can be a metal or something. even we, humans, know that can't be. Not only can a metal usually rust, but with these sharp edges, it can rip your body appart (if the body isn't made of some metal too). To have a metal brain, the metal should be something like gold, silver or coper. Only those don't seem to guide electricity that well. i'll think about this and post tomorrow again. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. This is a rather irritaing problem I have here, and it deals with entering and leaving towns. When you leave a town and enter it again, all thing are as they should be when you enetr it for the first time. Now I have this problem too. when you leave a certain town, everything changes again and becomes as it once was when you didn't enter the town. now how can I make sure, that if i enter that town a second time after leaving it, there are absolutely no changes to terrain and certain creatures? All i could come up with, is a special node you step on when entering the town, which sets all the things you once already had set, to how it was before you left town. Are there any other suggetions, or is this the only way of doing it. EDIT: I almost forgot to thank you two, kelandon and drakefyre, for the "outdoor simulation." I understood it and immedtialy made something similair. now I can make that big cutscnene fight, to give the scenario some more pep. I think I'll stick to what kelandon suggested. It looks good, and the grammar looks good too. Kelandon: Iknow grammar is also necesarry, but if you want to use words you didn't really learned, a dictionary is nice. (espacially if it has the option English Latin). Grammar isn't very useful when you don't know the words to use it upon. I just one more thing. I've only had three years of Latin, and we just started with the deponent verb. I don't really understand what's so difficult. 1) I recommend to use the arrow keys, and not the mouse as in Exile. Only use the mouse if you want to make a step diagonally. 2) In a fight there are these drwan squares on the floor? look at the squares if you're always confused. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I like to use it. When I come across some thing that proves to be FAR stronger then I am, i just summon some creatures to help me attack. (off topic: does anybody know if you have apossibility of Simalucrum in BoA?). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. quote:Who says there is no proven need for brains? (not meant to beoffending, just where you got the information). Doesn't a lifeform need something to "think?" now what you said in your sig, is quite strange (as is a wizard), but seems not completely unpossible. I really can't think of anything though, that looks like what you discribe. But you do agree finally that limbs aren't necessary for a creature to have? (You yourself gave an example of a creature that doesn't have them...) -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I'm making at the moment a scenario for level between level 6 and about 12. I don't no yet if its possible for this party to defeat the creatures I made, so it may be a different result than I wanted at first. Nut to answer your question: i think that there's a big problem with low level scenario's. and that is in my opinion, that whatever low level scenario you take, its always best to take VoDT. i started with a level 1 party and ended with a level 14 party! now, when you are finished with that, you want something higher up, so there is now use for scenario's for level 1 - 7, for example. The good thing however, is that you have much more choice when starting a second (!) party (Why did i say second? because most players of BoA start wih the demo, and end up playing VoDT!!) But I say, do what you like. I'd rather create scenario's for mid-level party's (10 - 20). That's relatively easy and become's more interestin for yourself (Well, that's how it works for me). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Is it possible to use cutscene calls like put_boom_on_spot in the outdoors? i want to try to simulate some sort of an attack on a city, but seen from outside. if its not possible, its also no drama, cause I didn't plan to do this in the first place. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape.
