Maybe deep down, people that are opposed to gay marriage fear that the progeny of a gay couple will in fact be gay themselves. And we certainly wouldn't want more gay people running around, would we? The ramifactions are pointless and appropriately bigoted. Like Alec I am not opposed to homosexuals getting married to each other and enjoying the same priveleges enjoyed by other voting members of our free societies. Falling back into my crappy analogy, it is none of our business since it doesn't affect us. Especially Ash, and while I respect your decision to remain involate prior to seeing your firstborn, it seems that you are speaking out of turn. Let those who are married rant and rave against the injustice of other people enjoying that feeling. Or not. But it is their choice, not yours. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I think the bottom line is that Swanson's screwed up. They took good food and made it bad. Likely it is unpalatable, but sheer quantity and stubborness help people finish the meals. Some suggestions I've heard for making it a better breakfast include - more bacon, more calories, better bacon, proper flapjacks, a dash of salt, add some citrus, provide condiments, etc etc... We can make it bigger, better, and stronger, but due to the sheer volume of things on the plate, we are unlikely to get past frying the bacon and sausages before running out of steam. So, dipso facto, it is no longer necessary to cook or eat that much food. Just have sausages (5000 calories worth) one day, then bacon the next, and so on. Hmmm. Hungry now. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

It is one thing to communicate with a German national using the Internet, and English. It would be quite another to use voice. ... Not that you should be overly worried Aran, but my cousin is over in Germany for school and I asked him to stalk you. You know, as a favor. Nothing personal, but I thought it was about time to give you something real on which to base the paranoia. :P -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Thuryl looks like a muppet. On another note, did anyone yet check all the old photo threads to read the edited in conversations and pictures? Hopefully they haven't been changed back already. Alorael looks interesting, and while he is pink, he most certainly is not invisible. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Has there been any preliminary organizational-type meetings for last weeks upcoming bicentennial festival? Time is getting kind of twisted up in a knot for this one, and I'd hate to have to postpone it to last year. Perhaps if someone has information they could make sure it was posted in the archives? -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Lacking any interest in the titled conversation, I yearn for more debate on the effectiveness of legislating moral codes regarding homosexuality and domestic partnerships. To contribute, it seems that gov't lacks the ability to deny the existence of homosexuality. Instead they have attempted to 1) remove the pleasure aspect, 2) isolate, and 3) embarass their electorate. Sad. On another note, is "Maimo" the affectionate for Maimonides? When did that happen, and thank you all for serving as my entertainment. :P -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

1. 911 2. Aran (wrong number) 3. Aran (wrong number) 4. ... ... ... 1. Boss 2. Dog 3. The other Boss 4. Boss 5. Fishing buddy 6-10. More of the above. I spend about 10 hours a month on the cell phone, mostly talking about fishing or trying to go fishing. When I can't get fishing, I'll see if I can work. That usually is a mistake, as it means I'll have to work and can't fish when the opportunity suddenly arises. Because really, work is pretty low on the priority scale for me. I called the dog to apologize for having kept her locked in her kennel for 13 hours today while I was at work. Otherwise when I let her out she would have bitten me in the crotch and then peed on my quivering remains. Justly, I believe. Thus the phone call. Just trust me on this one. :) -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Nico: What kind of wedding was it? I assume that was the reception in the photo, but it seems very casual to wear a football jersey to a wedding. Edit - I was tired, so please accept the correction to the phonetic error. I would offer as well, but my reliability is nil until August, and then it becomes spotty. That it took me this long to reply to the long awaited beta-call is guide enough, dontcha think? :) -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

After seeing Ricardo (Portugal) block PKs to win the game v England, I can see how Argentina lost. Superior goalkeepers will beat goal makers. Both sides, Portugal and England missed kicks or had them blocked. It was a good game, especially considering England played short for half the time. Edit - After seeing the clips from the England game, and Rooney kicking his opponent in the crotch, I can say he deserved the red and should get worse. He is a thug. There is no World Cup. Germany played well and certainly had a good goal to tie it. I missed the OT and PK, but was told that Argentina missed 2 kicks. How???? Italy won, 3-0, according to the radio. That means that Italy and Germany will play on July 4th. ps. I like your enthusiasm Aran. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
