Yes, I'm already caught. But my monikers have been examples of dead salmon (Smoked and Sushi) and Jumpin' is just waiting for me to get back out on the deep blue for fishing time. I went out looking for tuna last Saturday, made it about 30 miles out before the choppy seas caused a crew member to get sick. Sad day when you burn 53 gallons of fuel and don't even get your line wet. *this message sponsored by frigidaire and their full line of chest freezers* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Okay, here is a weak attempt at a riddle. And by weak I mean I think it is a salmon original. Where up is down and down is up, If you're outside but not inside then your inside becomes outside. *this message funded but not sponsored, posted yet not understood* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I've geeked around since high school, D&D and all that junk, so I've kind of an idea why I gravitated to text based RPG's. Even though the Exile and Avernum series have graphics, I still think of them more as text. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone else has spent time thinking why they like these silly games enough to spend time on a internet forum talking about them? It seems really silly actually, but I guarantee that I'll be here tomorrow (admin willing.) So, why here? Why not in some other type of game? *this message sponsored by the GIA, a supersecret agency* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I try to stay off these boards when I'm in one of those eye-twitching moods, so you get the happy/confused me. But my favorite mood is the bliss brought about by complete physical exhaustion. I figure that karma was originally intended to let newbies have an idea on which established members to trust, etc. Of course this is total [insert appropriate word] and karma is more along the lines of those polls conducted during presidential debates. Meaningless. Aside from spam, and my weak homage to Alo's signature line, I have contributed nothing of lasting value to the community, and yet not only do I have a karma rating, but it is above 3. There is no basis. *this message is funded by Skribbane Sun Times and Sniping Weekly, two worthwhile publications* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

There is also sentimental value, historical value, and aesthetic value. But the question has been answered. The graphics have been archived on the web, so there is nothing on that disk which is unique, rare, or precious to the people frequenting this topic. *this message sponsored by Eight is Enough and Three's Company* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Ummmm. That depiction of salmon is deeply regretable. I shall take it as a personal comment about my inability to avoid the wildly and randomly slapping of a bear's paw. You, sir, have lost my support in the upcoming elections for your unfortunate gaffe. A marlin can be simply depicted as the cartoonish character below. Which captures the baseball team's cartoonish attempts to regain any sort of respect after their World Series run several years ago in which they pretty much bought the rings. The are the definition of honest baseball. *this message has not been influenced by a lifelong ambition to see the Red Sox win it all* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

The way I see it, TM's posts are like a cream pie smooshed into your face. There are at least two possibilities here. 1. He is trying to embarass you. 2. He is a comedic actor ala Belushi. My immediate reaction (before registering) was the first, and it was a negative one. I eventually realized that he is some misunderstood person, exasperated because of his inability to express himself as he wants to be understood. His rants seem incoherent, and his acronym reactions ill-thought out, but I've come to think of it as a language barrier. I just don't get what he's saying, and that's okay. As to his ban? Whatever, I know I've been critical of moderation on these boards and haven't had one word of rebuke. His ban comes from direct and pointed flaunting of the rules in the CoC. Which may be his point. He may just not like those rules as they crowd him. *this message sponsored by cream pie manufacturers and smooshers everywhere* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

My dedicated T-3 line is only crimped by the fact that I use a hacked MITS Altair 8800 for all my internet communications. After some dedicated research, you will discover that I have no screen or keyboard, and have to enter all my text using switches. Blinking lights communicate the results back to me. *this message sponsored by Intel, no longer supporting the 8080* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
