I hope he is a real feminist and not a men hater as feminist are in sweden. Seriously, they started a feminist party in Sweden that suggested we would introduce new taxes as men taxes and other foul stuff. The basis was that men was ugly creatures that sits in a cough and watch football with a beer in the hand while his disillusioned wife is cleaning the house. A real disappointment, that party was. Feminism is about equality between the sexes, not about switching the power-balance. TM is more than just his identity on these boards. His contributions to the community are many and frequent. Ash and Zeviz are notable exceptions, but the majority of those rushing to slam TM have probably never played through a significant number of his scenarios. He's not in the goddamn BoE Hall of Fame at the Lyceum for nothing, you know. If you're shallow and uptight enough to overlook his contributions and merely focus on his playful excesses around here, then I don't know what to say. TM goes out of his way to be offensive (whatever your gender, I think any difference you're seeing is mostly in the eye of the beholder and due to small sample size and implying that his use of homophobic insults signifies something is either an argument tactic so cheap it's worthy of the faux-Canadian himself or a sad indication that the gene for risible gullibility is dominant) but he has contributed to the community. I don't just mean that in the form of scenarios or his role in keeping the Lyceum up and running, I mean that I actually think the community benefits from having him around. The way I see it, TM's posts are like a cream pie smooshed into your face. There are at least two possibilities here. 1. He is trying to embarass you. 2. He is a comedic actor ala Belushi. My immediate reaction (before registering) was the first, and it was a negative one. I eventually realized that he is some misunderstood person, exasperated because of his inability to express himself as he wants to be understood. His rants seem incoherent, and his acronym reactions ill-thought out, but I've come to think of it as a language barrier. I just don't get what he's saying, and that's okay. As to his ban? Whatever, I know I've been critical of moderation on these boards and haven't had one word of rebuke. His ban comes from direct and pointed flaunting of the rules in the CoC. Which may be his point. I think TM is really a good guy, and it's not very hard to figure out what annoys him. True, some of what he says is a bit vulgar, but most of it is also fairly insightful and amusing. I really enjoy his scenarios, as I always appreciate something that makes me think. He's an excellent designer, and the better parts of his personality come out in his writing. That said, I understand why the temporary ban took place, and based on the CoC was justified. Even he said a few times that he knew it was coming.
